Hey WRS. How's everything? Had to give this one a little go for first week of the Jerry and Ron show. Lots of rust on my wheel for sure!
Enjoy the upcoming combo's ladies and gentlemen of the WRS. These guys come up with the best! :) Have fun!

T1-24.2??
T2- 43.697

Submitted. 👍
Later,
Steve

I don't know who is doing the leader board right now, but I am back on my DFP again. Got unlazy and took it back out.

And Kyle, you're just a smidge ahead of me; you gotta pick it up a abit ;)

I betcha it's more than a smidge at the line... :P I haven't had time to run it again, but I will before I submit, no worries. :sly:

I'm starting to find a groove now, the right after t1 is my only trouble spot, don't seem to nail it very often :dopey:

24.021
43.677

Still some left out there for me.

Been doing some running tonight, and all but beating my current time. Managed to break ahead for T1 a few times but the hairpin coming out of the tunnel is a killer. I'm not quite sure what the fastest line out of it is yet, let alone hitting it. No improvements for me tonight.

Great improvement there. 👍 👍

Shave off another .052 off that T2 and you'll move up another 4 places. 👍 👍

Thanks for the incouragement Jerry :) There is some great racing going on around here this week 👍

Back to the track this afternoon.

Improved my time, but not enough. :grumpy:

That broken finger sure is a PITA when racing. And those levels of grip... After driving the TVR Cerbera on N1s for half an hour and toying around with a hybrid 950HP Miata, I can't get back to this. Too much traction 👎

At last, I made a good T1 without going insanely slow in T2:
T1: 24.085 (seen 23.8xx)
T2: 43.800 (haven't seen much better than this)
What colors are you guys using? It was either lime green or 'ring blue, but the green looked to rice, so I picked the blue. I'm the kind that likes bright colors... but lime green is just too far, especially in this car.

Yeah, it's really close this week. If I gain .3 seconds, I can get first in my divison...
Edit: Just when nobody's checking this thread...
T1: 24.057 (wierd)
T2: 43.636

I think that puts me in 4th?

Wierd thing is, every time my T1 isn't that great, I get more momentum through the right hander, and get a better T2, and lap time...

I tried to race some more laps again yesterday but for some reason my Playstation won't read the disk. I have been having this problem a lot lately and I'm afraid I might have to get a new Playstation. I will try again tomorrow but it does not look good. Even my Blaze Laser Cleaner can't get it done. Crap.

Try this link, I found it on this site somewhere, maybe in the WRS getting started thread. It tells you how to adjust the laser on the PS2 so it will work again. Taking things apart is pretty simple. My old-style PS2 now works very well, and it has been abused beyond belief and almost never gets shut off. Sits on the floor with dust and pet hair too. I'd recommend at least trying this before you spend cash on a new one.

Still no luck firing up the PS2. Disc read error after disk read error. It looks like my PS2 is finally crapped all the way out. I think I ran my laser cleaning disk 15 times but no luck. This really sucks as I only just now found such a cool place to compete with racers from around the world :S

Back to the actual topic, that last turn is so tricky to hit just right. If you use the wrong strategy, it will probably cost .4 seconds atleast. I didn't have it figured out on my first laps.

I'm going to send in my time that is on the leaderboard. This week is just not for me I guess:(.
I hoped to do better on my first week in div1.

LeaderBoard Updated

And it looks like inferno wil be going to div2 this week;).

I also gave it a go last night. Grand Valley is a treat to drive, only the tyres are a bit too grippy for me...

Splits:

T1: 23.682
T2: 43.087

Last corner wasn't all that. Might be close with you, Ron

Well it's been quite awhile since I've posted anything here... Finally seem to be getting a bit more spare time, so I figured I'd check things out here... Looks like we've got some new mod's -- congrats!

Anyway, here are my splits after just an hour or so in the Nurburgring Blue car. :) Oh, and I'm using the DFP, and I should still be in Div. 2, unless I've been demoted for non-participation in recent weeks (months!).

T1: 24.563
T2: 44.766

As you can see, I have NOT improved in my absence. :yuck: I'll give it another couple of hours and then submit my time... I'd really like to see 23.X and 43.X, but that seems pretty difficult right now... I haven't found this car to be "understeery" at all -- maybe that means I'm not pushing it hard enough? (No TCS or ASM for me, either.)

Edit: After another 20 laps or so,
T1: 24.659
T2: 44.376
End: 0.279 faster.
