Well I was qualified back then. I don't have to requalify or anything do I?

Nope, but me and the leaderboard updaters would like to know your division and controller when you post your splits.

EDIT: Laying down the controller for now. Car understeers horroribly, yet Brad's setup was good.

Here are my first splits. Fun combo, Jerry 👍 No traction problems at all, except for the hairpin. Need to be gentle with the throttle there.

T1: 1'08.126
T2: 2'03.775

I did this with the turbo fitted, will try the stage 3 NA tomorrow to see if it's faster or not.

crazy looking T2 so soon Hugo  just ran for an hour or so to get aquainted and so far only at 1'08.6 / 2'04.6 :( .... will try again soon with this crazy driving bucket of bolts :P

I'll participate for sure this time (I always say that and never do...just a warning) I've always loved Suzuka, so if I get a chance (I might not) I will be in this one for sure! :)

Well, better than I thought... But still, a rather less-than-thrilling tour through the sand traps this week. :grumpy:

T1: 1'09.789
T2: 2'07.118

T1 1'09.916
T2 2'06.322

Setup:
Springs 9.0 7.0
Ride Height 128 128
Shock Bound 7 7
Rebound 8 9
Camber 2.0 1.0
Toe -1 -1
Sway bars 5 6

Brake Controller 4 4

Aids 0 0 0
LSD: 1-way

Splits:

T1 1:10.161
T2 2:07.226

This car seems somewhat insensitive to setup changes - I've tested my own back to back with Big Racer's setup with very little noticeable difference in performance despite the fact that except for ride height and shocks they are complete opposites. Trying to maximize turn-in and rotation I've got this so far:

13.2 12.8
116 106
6 5
8 7
2.5 0
0 -2(or maybe +2, now I forget)
1 7
LSD 5 5 5
TCS 3
which feels pretty neutral but will play some more with the spring rate balance.

Yeah, I'm Div 2 with a DS2. I'm terrible at setting stuff up and am trying to use this as a refresher course of sorts on how to do it, but it isn't working out so great as of yet...

T1: 1:11.0
T2: 2:09.4

Finally starting to find my line. I have my springs set to twice the stiffness of them being stock, 8.8/8.4 and my stabs set to 6/6. Gearing is auto 8, I think, just enough where I only need to control throttle in second gear which I'm only in for the hairpin and last two corners anyway. I bought the rollcage and the full custom LSDs and lowered ride height to an even 112/112. After about seven laps, here's what I have.

T1- 1'09.908
T2- 2'07.107

I'm losing time at the Spoon corner. At least, I THINK that's the name of it. It's been a few months since I've driven in GT4. :dopey:

Well, I happened to make some progress. :indiff:

T1: 1'09.603
T2: 2'06.137

Bumped exactly 1.100 off my final.

Cheers,
Jetboy

Interested to see peoples custom LSD numbers that are not using TCS....

Kept my the same as stock. 10, 40, and 20. :P No TCS or ASM.

Unfortunately, I can't get back on my line. Looks like I'll have to give it a rest for tonight. Maybe I'll give it a shot when I get back from work. If not, I'll have to do it tomorrow after class. Blegh.

So you can go on the green parts of the track, but you just treat it like the grass? (only 2 wheels off, and no more...)

So you can go on the green parts of the track, but you just treat it like the grass? (only 2 wheels off, and no more...)

Ya. You can have two wheels on the rumble/track and two on the greencrete. But just not only two on the the greencreate and two on the actual grass.

So, anyone found tips on the tuning? I've tried every tune possible, including radicals like -10 camber...

I left the suspension stock except for lowering the ride height. I also used the tranny trick and 5-30-5 for the LSD.

Very impressive... So stock is better? Sphinx implied that, too... Gotta give it a shot.
