Oh, and James, so is your experiment to not include yourself in the splits leaderboard??? :dunce:

After a loooong second session I came up with some decent splits :)

24.516
57.182

I'm still leaving about .5xx out there for me, but I'm not sure if I'll grab it or not.

Great combo Jerry, this could have made the 100th wrs in my opinion 👍

WTF??? after about 10 laps i am actually starting to like a city track *** wonders if he's taken ill somehow again *** and looking at luxy my first decent lap isnt even half bad ...

on auto and tcs: 25.122 - 1.00.386

wonder if jetboys will be promoted to div2 altho he's still max-less ...

jerry you'd better replace your testround with a decent div1-worthy split or you'll be taken over by some minor div3 player :)

Update here:

25.497
1'00.575

I've had better splits but, pushing to hard on that last corner can be ..........well, #^%@$ :banghead:

Which top speed are you guys using to get T1's so fast or what's the strategy there. Fastest I've seen is 24.290 with 340km but with 350km I do 24.5 to a 56.5 with 24.350 being max at T1. I could get that 56.5 but I feel like I wasted my time if I'm losing 3 tenths on the first turn.

Hi mate, I was originally using 340 default autoset that was hitting 24.2's at T1 and last night changed it to 330 which helped get the 24.1's 👍

Thanks for the responses Mr.P and GPKart, I tried 330 but I thought it was slower since it turns worse in 2nd gear with more power. I'll give it another try then.

I'm also running 320. the initial torque at the higher rpm's in 2nd get's the ass around quicker. Another thing is that while running over the rumble/sidewalk is apparently very dangerous to your run, if you hit them square with the wheels straight, they won't hurt you and infact you do have to hit them to maximize your lap time, atleast I do. Especially going into the first 2 90 degree right handers.

hey cool - i'm on top of div3 in luxy's (considering jetboys is div2 material and will soon be promoted as such) altho the difference is quite small.

to the luxy updateres: please spell my name as bigracer instead of Bigracer (i like it better that way, in my brief period of premiumship something went wrong in the namethingy AND i'm not that big :) ) - thanks.

Premium, eh? That explains the old records, which show 'Stevenderuig'...

I try to avoid them as much as possible.

i too try to avoid them when i can't run over them straight. in general, i too avoid them as much as possible. there are places however where you can nip corners by flying over them and as long as your wheels are straight, you won;t be punished. of course, there is always more than one way to skin a cat 👍

Update:

T1: 24.642
T2: 57.178

This "minor div 3 player" has about another .2 or so left out there, but I can't hang onto it. I aced the last corner on the ghost and haven't touched it since. :grumpy: Saw a 56.9xx more than once...

Cheers,
Jetboy

shaking up the rust, got a good time:

24´355
56´790

seem 56´5, but botched the last turn

using 330 today

BTW, PLEASE LOOK AT MY SIGN, ITS FOR A GOOD CAUSE!!!

YAY! i'm still not banned!!

i guess it's safe to go back to doing some laps today and hopefully squeeze down around 56.5. we'll see.

good luck to everybody today woohoo!! 👍

I think you folks who have managed a "T2" in 57" or less have figured out a way to move the line up the track a couple of hundred yards! :banghead:

I'm buying the 24's for T1 but man I can't get near 57" at T2. I guess that's why I'm a Div III driver.  👍

you have to get a feel for the way the car stops and goes. what i'm doing is hitting the brakes while cutting the wheel till i get a little slide. from there it's all about timing your throttle. you have to get a little bit of slide though. once you figure out when to hit the throttle so that you get through the turns at maximum speed without hitting the wall, you'll see your times come down.

Sound advice from the noob, I'll add that form me, I brake a little straighter and coast just a bit to initiate the slide. 👍

Sound advice from the noob,

Give it a rest Erik, in no way over this episode has Max ever insulted or remarked at you ... no need to keep getting the little digs in! .. is there?
Yes he's a banned member come back to race, I guarantee he's not first and wont be the last. I have no problem with you mate! .. I just think little digs is not giving someone a chance to prove there worth even if it is 2nd time around ..

Everyone deserves a second chance dont ya think 👍

Sorry Ron, I was joking with him and did not mean to offend anyone, you are right about second chances, and in case you don't realize it, I like Max.

I also was genuine about his advice, he is spot on. No more rederic from me, did not mean to drag it on and on.

Being new to this forum I'm not sure what all the other crap is about and don't much care eh? I'm a little too long in the tooth as they say. :yuck:

I'll just take "Finals" advice and give 'er a go. Up to now folks around here have been very kind and accomodating especially to this "rookie" and it's appreciated. Every time I've been able to implement what has been freely offered by way of advice my driving / times have improved and that's what forums like this are suppose to be about, promoting each others welfare and rejoicing in each others prosperity. The rest of it needs to be left in the playground!! In any event thanks for the help "F.E." I'll give 'er a go. 👍
