I shows consistency more than performance and I thought I could reduce the number of weeks to give performance a greater impact.
Perhaps 6/8 ? It would exclude 2 results on a 2 months period, and therefore slightly decrease the weight of consistency compared to performance.

i agree, that plan sounds good 👍,

though because of the 7/8 i was actually able to make my consistent top 10, top 5's to make me 3rd :).

but i like the 6/8, nice job

Nice suggestion.
That's exactly what my old stats (see link in my sig) were doing, except that points were 25 / 22 / 20 / 18 / 16 / 14 / 12 / 11 / 10... and only 18 drivers were rewarded each week.
I split it per division because some drivers suggested it and after having done the old stats for more than 30 weeks I also needed some change :D

If its not alot work 4 u - 2 tabels would be "cool" :)
18 is good number but already we have 48 drivers, Kent has 85pms left to read so I assume that 15 more drivers will come, then at least 30 should get points - of course its only my proposition - decision if you will make an additional table and points distribution is of course up to you.

Regards.

18 was a good number : it was the average number of submissions each week.
With the switch to GT4, more drivers will join (even if they don't race on a regular basis), so I extended the points to the 20 fastest times, for each division, so that's a total of 60 drivers who will score points each week.

As for an overall board, we experienced it for 7 or 8 months, and the problem is that div 2 and div 3 drivers will never reach the top spots.
It's kind of frustrating to give your best every week and still stay between 5th to 10th position on the board while the new fast driver jumped on the podium after 4 weeks (and wins) only.
Having one board per division will be much more rewarding since div2 and div3 will also have their own podium.
Points will be carried though when someone is promoted, so that they don't have to start from the scratch again. And that's why the point distribution is different, so that the top div3 driver promoted to div2 doesn't reach the podium immediately.

Indeed, though I didn't learn that at school. Plus your sentence reminded me the good ol' irregular verbs (Learned/learnt).

Some things are not meant to be learned/learnt in school ;)
You got me confused about which one of the two is right, now :D

I like the 6/8 idea. I hope it will be implemented.

The Wizard.

SADJO
Hey!

Where am I?
As I said, the board is made from Luxy's leaderboard on which you don't appear.
I don't receive submission PMs, so I don't know the results before any of you.
I only update my board when the official results have been posted, which Kent planned for today.

BTW, before someone else notices, SimonC appears twice on div 3 board (1st and 8th). Of course that's a mistake, it'll be corrected when I post the final results. ;)

Beautiful job! 👍

I just have one small request, can I be classed as D2 so I'm not on the bottom of D1. :embarrassed: :dunce:

See you at the races. ;)

As long as your sig proudly says 'div 1', and as long as your name is not mentioned under any division in the relevant thread : No.

I'll see the back of your car at the races ;)
(When we were only 0.001 second away at the end of one race, was it you or me in front ? I can't remember.)

Never hurts to ask!

There was 3 or 4 weeks in a row that I finished .001-.003 apart from someone. I came out on top most of them, but the final one was me behind. (if memory serves  )

HEY! where am I on the leaderboard? I race in here too.

I should be somewhere in D3
It was just a practise one while flat-out was setting up/designing it.
Real one will be posted after the official results are posted.

Thank gosh cuz I knew I had submitted a lap time for that specific race...but then again, when you know you're going to be in Div 3...why bother looking at all rigth? LOL!

Post #1 of this thread has been updated with the new board which lists all points awarded in week 1.

Please note that :
Names displayed are supposed to match exactly each driver's name : if you see a typo, please PM me.
I'm not yet familiar with this new points system of mine (and there are many points), so if you see a mistake, again PM me.
If you don't see your name on the board, it means that you didn't finish in the top 20 drivers for your division (my name doesn't appear for this very reason :ouch: ).

Edit :
Ok, I found the first discrepancy.
Sadjo was mis-credited div3 driver by Kent in the result thread and I copied the mistake. Dumb me, I had checked divisions this afternoon.
I'll update the board tomorrow (french time).

Cyril,ouwe rallyracert.

Great job from you. 👍

I like the new lay-out and the point system.

Oopsie, should ahve read this post before making a reply based on Post#1 alone ... sorry.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, wouldit not make more sense to list all drivers in each division? I mean, there are going to be more than 20 listed as soon as Race#2 sees those that didn't score in #1 scoring, so why not list them now?

OLD ??? I'm three years younger than you ;)
Glad you like the board. I hope my name will appear on it next monday

Are there not more than 20 racers in Div3?
Indeed, and in div 2 too.
But only 20 racers score points in each division. The rest of the field gets peanuts (in french slang, peanuts = nothing ; it probably makes no sense at all in english).
Hopefully next week racers will score who didn't score this week, and the board will grow to more than 20 drivers.

villainpl
13 points at the beginning
Sadjo will move up to div 2 where he belongs, so you should step up one spot and get 14 points.
That is, if there are no other mistake in the results.

Edit :
Just saw you edit Natalya, sorry.
I could have displayed people who didn't score on the board, but I didn't do this in my old GT3 WRS stats, that would have taken too much space for nothing (there were more than 250 registered racers but only 40 to 60 were racing often enough to have points).
You'll in a few weeks that the board will grow fast enough.

Peanuts means nothing in English as well, unless you're related to Charles Schultz. ;)

Sorry, carry on. :)

Love the new "unofficial" leaderboard flat-out.
Looks great and I like the new lay-out better as well. 👍

I think the time is right to get this WRS leaderboard made official. What you say CFM?

I'll second that motion! 👍

Cyril has put a lot of work into the old one and now the new one as well.
