Here are the points granted this week, based on the official results :

I finished 13th this week (first week I was 18th), but yet I am one spot down with respect to last week

Hard work pays, doesn't it?

I guess Division 2 has too many racers... So, either I start getting better at this freaking game, or I'll have to ask to be moved in Division 3.

Heck, there's even people there that are getting better times than I am

I have the perfect solution for us, though (see also my semi-serious comment previously posted):

We ask to get demoted to Division 3.
If I was in Division 3, I would have had 2 podia already

Nah, that would be too cheap.

I am good where I am - middle of the pack, middle Division. Always been and always will (probably)

I guess that Alpine and angelx will be promoted in the not too distant future... they are clearly D1 drivers... otherwise D2 is nice and close so far... only wish I had been able to post my Week 1 time, but that Monday 5 am deadline had me, as I only have a PC at work

Anyway, great job on the leaderboard... good to see one's name up in lights Also, this is my 500th post on GTPlanet...! About time, I've been lurking here for long enough...

This week i should get some decent points, hopefully a top 5 in my division

My only suggestion is in the pts colum can you have how much we got the last race?

so if you didnt run pts would be +0
if you did you would say have +25 or so
and once you get to the stage where its been more than 8 weeks, and racers loose points you have -23 or something.

just an idea. let me know if you dont understand

I know that the idea is once the 6 of 8 kick in the two columns will be differnt since points column will be best 6 of last 8 and total will be the toatl for all of GT4 WRS

You're right Chris, but I think Dion means he'd like an extra column saying that he scored +14 this week.
This week-----Points-----Total
----+14-----------44---------44

I wanted (and still want) to do this, but I'm not certain yet that I'll be easily readable. That's why for this week I posted a weekly board with +14 44 and updated the main board with 44 44 .
I'll see by next week what I can do to implement this.

i Dont understand what the points are, and the total.

Why are they the same?

From the first post :

In the future, each driver's points score will be calculated by adding the 6 best results over the past 8 weeks. If you don't race for 2 months, your points score will drop down to zero.

This is the points column. This will be the same until we hit week 7 when the best 6 of 8 rull can be applied, then this column will show only the points total of those 6.

Total score however, will be the sum of all points scored without any time limit : this figure can only increase.

This is the total column. This will allways go up each week, if you gain points that week.

NP Cyrill. Guess benifit of having so many great people around the world. Seems ya can get some information posted quickly, an dnot have to wait a whole night for an answer.

Further to Dion's remark, I slightly changed the board (font, column width) to insert the points scored on the past week for each division.
We now see that Small_Fryz for instance, got +14 points from his result in week 2, making a new total of 44. (For the difference between the two 44 values, see Teledriel's post ^ or wait 5 more weeks.)

It has already been discussed mates, and I don't think that making my board official is really an issue. I'll remove the word 'Unofficial' on the title if it bothers you.
BTW, I also made the board for week 1 again following the same pattern, so that all links in the 'archive' look alike.

There's no need for you to do that, Cyril

We were just trying to let you know that we appreciate your board so much that there is no reason why it should have an unofficial status

I mean, there is nobody else doing a board that actually has an official status, so I wouldn't see the reason why you would need to differentiate yours from it (since it's not there in the first place) giving yours the unofficial status.

That was all. But, really, there is no need for you to change anything.

It's great the way it is and we all appreciate you putting it up and doing all the hard work needed to keep it running 👍

The points will be carried across to the division.
That's why the same rank of each division doesn't get the same amount of points (winner : 75, 50, 25).
