HOW . . . did you get those Midgets? They aren't in the UCD?

As said before, I had much fun with Tess, did all kind of games with her as leading girl.
These games been hosted on GTP under the title of YAAMR, in the marketplace where I live
Nowadays Tess, is black, with an engine upgrade as writen before. Great fun, as she now can auto-drift whlie taking a high speed corner (Cape Ring)..you feel when she starts to break out....and good to keep under control.

I see you've discovered the affinity that Midgets have for Cape Ring. And one wonders why Kaz threw that track in . . .

I'm not able to start another thread, my time is often very limited and with a replica thread, I have enough on my hands at the moment.

I have a friend, that is even more into Midgets as we are..he speaks, eats and dreams about Midgets!
He was the one that got made me fall in love with them.
Last Wednesday I was online with 2 friends, all 3 in a midget and it was total chaos on Cape Ring.

Who is this person. Sounds like the ideal curator for GTP's Midget Madhouse.

Midgets can fly....on the hill, do wheelie on the ring..especially since we all got a Midget which went 200kmh+

But now, I've got all models/color combi's so my trading days are over! Gift some here and there...

Thank you for the offer - as of now my PS3 is still offline, but getting closer to being hooked up. I have moved my rig away from where it originally was, and is now right beside a cabled connection. Next step is a better TV for the rig, and I'm still mulling over what size to buy that will give me the optimum proportions of reality when I sit two feet away from it.

There's not a M3 or M5 that slips by my UCD. I must have in the vicinity of 40 combined. Mostly un-driven...

The M Series is just too tasty to pass up. They come into the UCD and you think . . . well, another colour, and a different tune . . . and we keep buying them. That's it. We just buy them. And dream.

I buy every Subaru that I don't have that appears in the UCD and where possible I paint them WR Blue Mica with Gold Rims. Even the little 360 is WR Blue :-)

Nothing wrong with having a bunch of the same cars if you like 'em.

The XR-7 is addictive. Don't let that Cougar get it's claws into you, she becomes an obsession.

I think I have an obsession with XJ220s I have 22 plus the racing one.

I had a huge obsession with the XJ220 and would grab every one I could. Then I realised I had way too many to play with and got rid of some of them.

Whenever I see a BMW in the Used Car Dealer, I buy it. This has led to me owning a few 120d's, although I desperately want another 330i for hybriding purposes.

I also have a Midget obsession. It's strange and hard to explain why they are so desirable...

That's a lot of fun. I know many new members are coming on here, hungry for information, looking for friends to trade with, or race with, and hoping to boost their collections. Collecting is only part of the game . . . but a very absorbing and addictive part of it, and a part of the game you can actually do alone, if your Internet time is restricted.

I always thought it was OCD to keep your garage so trim and tidy that you sell gift cars you don't like, and end up selling and re-purchasing a few of the same cars a few times. I can't stand a garage littered with unused cars, it really gets to me. It must be neat and every car must have a reason to be there.

Not at all. You're just not environmentally challenged, like the rest of us gas-guzzling madmen. OCD, maybe, but definitely clean as a whistle.

Gee, Sherlock, that was elementary. I feel as dumb as Watson now. In fact dumber - I sped off to the Chevy Dealer, bought the car, painted it immediately with the colour I had in mind for a sharp combo . . . and the stripe disappeared. Waste of money. Sold it right away.

TVR Speed 12 is tradable, you can easily acquire that through trades. FTO touring cars are not however, tickets are your best options there (I forgot what year/level)

I do have two TVR Speed 12s. What an amazing car! But they are both in Blue. How do I get the spicy one? And the light Green . . . and pale Blue . . . they never show up in my UCD - and I have kept records, as well as watch it like a hawk. No go. The urban legend of the UCD predictably cycling is exactly that to me - an urban legend. Did you see any other colour in your UCD but Blue . . . or did you get the other colours?

TVR Speed 12 is tradable, you can easily acquire that through trades. FTO touring cars are not however, tickets are your best options there (I forgot what year/level)

Ah! I see . . . Tickets. I do have an FTO Super Touring in Black - and they appear quite regularly in my UCD. All black. Never seen the Red, Yellow, Blue, or even Green - which was the one I drove relentlessly in GT4.
Somehow it doesn't feel right driving the Black, maybe I'm OCD. I want my Green back, but I'll surely take a Yellow.

I'll be slipping in an XL disc soon, and then DLC'ing like mad - also trading, joining a league, etc, etc, all the things I couldn't do with my PS3 offline. I want my Yellow FTO! And the Green one, too! 👍

I got to have every Honda, every Subaru, every EVO, every Toyota, Audi, BMW & old school cars either Japanese, Muscle cars and Europeans all with low miles, less than 6k or from the OCD and the list goes on but only a few other select cars. I just can't have them all, not a big fan of Miatas or Skylines.

We should seriously form a midget toss league. we get a bunch of guys in midgets and we push them with a (possibly hacked) X1 over the jump at Cape Ring. lol see who flies farthest.

Edit: or we could tune drag cars/ high powered cars specific to this league instead of an X1. One Daihatsu Midget and a bunch of high powered cars taking turns "tossing" the Midget.

As well, I would pick Dennisch to be the Magic Mirror (definitely not axletramp.) Rehearsals would be such fun.
However, to be fair to axletramp, he may make a good Hunter, and would no doubt make sure the Boar's Heart is well garnished.

Closer to the topic at hand (Guys, make a Midget thread, would you?! Midget love is derailing this thread. I wouldn't be surprised at all if we start discussing the 'abrahamic god' and his image, in a moment.) Gotbeefboy raises an interesting point; confirming that these 'one make' colours are not available in the UCD and only procurable via the OCD - which means Online Play is a must, if one needs collect every car in every possible stock colour. A really smart move on the part of either PD or Sony to get players online.
This also means that OCD Collectors are at the mercy of the whims and fancies of the Online Car Dealer. I will add, though, that I have received a few one make colours through the #1000 Ticket. The RedHot Commodore, for instance.. . .

Also . . . are there any colours that do not appear in the One Make races, and yet exist?
More investigation must follow.

Another of my obsessive compulsive habits is to find diecast model cars alike the ones in the game, and/or customise my models to look like the ones in the game. Or vice versa. For instance if I find a car in the game that doesn't match the colour of the HW car I have, then I will paint the car in the game to match the diecast model.
Then I will carry the diecast model with me all day, fingering it secretly in my pocket, or taking it out at times and gazing at it close-up, and then rushing back home to play the videogame version of it.

My obsession is over the Ford GT. I bought 50 of them in a short period of time before dropping out of GT5 for a while. They are all painted in different colors and some even have different rims. I also sought out for every Lancer Evolution, Impreza, and Skyline in the game. Bought them all, none were acquired via trading. I have treated them all very well by repairing them as soon as they were bought.

The only reason why I'd by one-billion of the same car is from tickets where they have rare colours or some rare colours from the USC. Even colour combinations.

I am in this boat. It started with acquiring vintage muscle cars in all colors, then escalated when I discovered racing and cup cars in different liveries and numbers (AltezzaTC, Beetle Cup Cars, Lupo Cup Cars, Nissan mm Cup Cars), and then on to Veyron and RedBull colors to burn cash.

Don't even start me on the chips. I have passed the obsession limit with them and are now in the 'traumatized' stage. The problem is car collecting itself is strongly connected with the colors of the cars. Got to have every stock color. Then got to have a whole bunch of your obsession cars painted in the colors you need to collect them in.
I have sleepless nights obsessing what to color my midgets.
This is one of the reasons I'm not getting any more midgets.

I nearly have all different cars, all tuned with all parts, except the 370 Tuned car and some of those Gamestop NASCAR which was limited to us etc. I have also golded everthing, except Vettel Suzuka, whic is due now. Hav a few extra cars in standard without any tuning parts, but I try to exchange cars with milage with 0 km from OCD. I did the same in GT4 where all was Gold and 100% done + ALL cars, with tuningparts.
I have earned all credits by driving my self !, No so called "grinding" etc.. Eventually I better try to buy the 370Z Tuned Car from the marketplace + those few US Gamestop NASCARS. Have of course all GT Academy cars, thos which have been downloadable etc.
