The only thing more annoying than the complainers are the PD/Sony apologists. Everyday is a day too long. It took 6 years to develop the technology to send us to the moon in the 1960s with slide rules and pencils. THE MOON FOR ****S SAKES! It's a joke it should take 6 years to develop a video game.

:)

Lol! Here,here:tup:

I'll be very unhappy if I don't have it by 17/12/10, it's the day we brake up at uni and I have set the assignments to be handed in when we come back in Jan so I'm free from marking.

If you want to take the high ground and openly complain about other members posts, then at least make sure you're squeaky clean yourself before doing so. Next time I won't waste my time giving you a little nudge, instead I'll just go for the hammer and slap you with an infraction, considering you've already received a warning from another member of staff for this type of thing.

Backchat is never a good move.

Neither is the moderators using bully boy tactics.
And as you will already know I received a warning for poor grammar, not for making a point.

When you break up at uni. Let's hope you're not teaching anything even vaguely English-related.

if you type "Gran Turismo 5" you'll see a "Gran Turismo 5 Release Date" suggested word ... :nervous: Even the internet wants to know the date.

It's not "pathetic" that people are upset that SONY or Polyphony haven't followed through yet again. Yes, they didn't say they were definitely going to tell us, but I'm not even the slightest bit surprised they didn't tell us. I actually expected it. It's fair enough for GT's hyper loyal fans to be annoyed at the pathetic, pathetic communication we've all had to deal with. And you'd think the guys could at least release some new screenshots or videos that actually tell us about the game to appease the fans, but no. It's just silence and mystery. More silence and mystery.

So anyway, stop getting mad at the people who are upset. They absolutely have a right to be upset. You have a right to not be upset, but don't act like you're so superior to the people who are starting to lose their patience after 5 years.

Amen.

I read passages here from people defending the delay, and criticizing people for complaining, and I think "What the ----?".

It's bad enough when you're told to assume the position and take it...it's rather worse when you have people here telling you that you also have to smile and act like you're enjoying it.

Am I the only one thinking that Kazunori might've liked the track creator in Modnation Racer a bit too much and that they are in the process of revamping the GT5 Track editor, making it more flexible before the launch? Probably not, but when I'm watching this again:

https://www.gtplanet.net/yamauchi-impressed-with-modnation-racers-track-editor/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+gtplanet+%28GTPlanet%29

I think when kaz played Mod Nation he realized what people can create with a fairly simple editor. and I'm almost sure the next gt will have a much improved track creator.

They're completely different games. MNR is a very over the top arcade racer while GT5 is a sim. There's also the environment issue. MNR runs at 30fps sot hat it's able to handle all the details that people drop into the world. GT5 runs at 60fps which makes it a lot more difficult for the engine to handle people dropping random objects into the world.

I am really thinking of buying "Heavy Rain" to bridge the time until the release...
Anyone else acting the same way? I mean buying another game for the waiting period...

Yeah its a good game. You can complete it in about 8 hours however, but you will want to replay many times as the game has many possible endings (17 I think)

And yes i have been playing quite a few games to bridge the gap. At one point i even resorted to playing GT1 and 2. :sly:

Maybe he was talking about the actual mechanism for laying the shape of the track, where you basically "drive" the big machine which lays the tarmac, not the cartoony houses and bridges.

More freedom of course direction, elevation, rather that sliders and a random generated track from those slider positions.

Yeah I understand all that, What I was trying to say is kaz saw that an editor doesn't have to be overly complex to work, Mod Nation is so simple a child can use it but yet its effective enough for an adult to get great results

@SonicVulcano and Stune:
Thanks for your posts! Guess I'll follow my gut feeling and buy it today after work...
I've read of 20 possible endings...
I just hope the steering will be not too difficult for me...
Usually I only play racing games (GT, NFS etc)...and shooters or so I played last on a computer (with mouse)...the last game if this kind I played was Resident Evil 4...and I nearly hated the steering...just was so used to keyboard and mouse...
But I played the Heavy Rain demo...and that was quiet ok...

I do hope my G25 doesn't wear out before this game is released. Even the guy on the ps blog seems not to have a clue and is more interested in responding to avatar issues and something called mubi whatever that is.

You really would have thought that with 90% of the posts on about one specific game Sony's marketing department hell spawn could think up some pointless reply, if only to come back into the office after a hard weekend defiling goats and have a right good chuckle at how stupid mankind really is.

Try to imagine:

-->> Tomorrow SONY says: Surprise! we weren't delayed ! .... November's fool!:ill:

:yuck::ouch:that would be a sick joke.....
