This isn't geared towards seasonals, but more for the races that would be implemented automatically into the next GT, so what are your ideas?

I'm thinking a race for X1s.

By then the X2015 would be out and avalible in different colors, so you would drive those.

The races (Based off tracks from every GT)

Round 1: Seattle Circuit - 40 laps

Round 2: Daytona Super Speedway - 100 laps

Round 3: Fuji Speedway - 50 laps

Round 4: Nurburgring GP/F - 50 laps

Round 5: Suzuka Circuit - 40 laps

Round 6: Laguna Seca - 50 laps

Round 7: High Speed Ring - 80 laps

Round 8: Cote D' Azur - 40 laps

Round 9: Nurburgring 24H - 10 laps

Round 10: Infineon Sports Car Course - 50 laps

Round 11: Mid Field - 80 laps

Round 12: Daytona Road Couse - 40 laps

Round 13: Special Stage Route 11 - 40 laps

Round 14: Monza - 50 laps

Round 15: Indy Road Course - 70 laps

To the above, NO NO NO! We don't need the same events over and over again, we've had some of those races since GT2, we don't need them again. What's the point in playing the same thing over and over, it's not like an F1 game where there is no choice. PD have ultimate freedom so ditch most of them and start again, no more Sunday cup and all the rest that have been around for ages.

You obviously didn't get the irony there.

I guess I didn't make it clear enough maybe, but no... I do not want any endurance race longer then 2 hours on Tsukuba... 💡

Thats just thier name. Sunday Cup = slow low powered cars. What do you want them to do? Name it something else? In many ways its like F1, they have no choice but to run the same events. I see nothing wrong with the FF FR 4WD MR etc events. They force you to buy and race against a variety of cars.

Besides I added some original events like the Hybrid and Luxury Car Championship.

I put some decent thought into trying to think of many new events and I honestly couldn't. But more importantly PD can do things to the race events to make them more exciting besides just adding new ones. Like enforcing strict regulations for the first time you compete in an event, ensuring the field of AI cars is somewhat balanced with no cars 2 seconds faster or slower then everyone else, and longer races.

I believe GT5's problem was not it's selection of races...but the execution. No qualifying, no practice, rabbit cars 5 seconds faster then others, turtle cars 5 seconds slower then others rendering 90% of the field useless. It felt like a big mess, almost arcadey.

I know you added lots of new ones and they're good, also some stalwarts are hard to change, like the drivetrain races. But some of the other races, the Endurance races in particular can certainly be changed. They have plenty of tracks so I don't see the need to do 300km of Grand Valley and 200miles of Laguna Seca in every single game. The real 24 hour races can stay as they are real, but B-Spec MUST be integrated in some way. No real life driver does the 24 hour race himself, neither should we.

They can also add more restrictions. Not just a plain old boring "FF Race" with the only restriction being FF, add weight restrictions, power restrictions etc. There is so much you can do with events if you put some thought into it rather than copy pasting the GT1-4 races and leaving it at that.

I also agree that more needs to be done about the races themselves. I think the number one thing apart from generally improving the AI is to make sure most races enter with 12/16 cars that are equal. Far too many races in GT5 feature 2 or 3 cars fast enough to win the race at best and the rest are just moving obstacles. They have no hope of winning the race and there are no classes. If it were real life, why would they enter?

So yeah, they need to tighten things up. If it's a 300hp FR race for example every AI car needs to be at 300hp or close, not have some 150hp cars at the back.

Also regarding the endurance races I firmly believe they need to be mixed up throughout the game, not all thrown in at the end.

Make sure that the game insists on players spending all their current credits first, or else whatever cash they have will go to waste. For example, if I have 12,347,022 CR handy, I need to spend it or end up tossing 12,347,022 in the trash since the average IQ of PD is evidently about 82 and they figured it was logical to have an easily-reachable cut-off at which point additional winnings go into a trash can.

I'm a firm believer in keeping everything from past GTs, but at the same time adding new events and content. I understand your frustration with keeping the same endurance races. But I think that frustration was only heightened in GT5 because we didn't get many new enduros.Of the 9 endurance races in GT5 an astonishing EIGHT had already been used in previous GT games. The only new endurance race was the Indy 500, which had sportscars :yuck::indiff:?

But what if they had included 20 endurance races, all copies from past GT titles? I dont think people would have been that upset.

So theres no need to drop the Grand Valley 300km and Laguna Seca 200 miles. Keep them, and add more. When compiling my list I actually looked over the endurance races for the first 4 Gran Turismo games and added all my favorites as well as a few new ones.

SimonK

I didnt include it in my post, but each event in my perfect GT6 A-Spec world will have strict restrictions. If the same event is repeated in a higher group of races, then the restrictions will allow for faster cars. I also contend that these restrictions should only be enforced until you get gold, and then the driver has the choice of racing the event with the restrictions or without them. Race with them and he earns a hefty credit bonus.

SimonK

Qualifying and longer races would help solve this. If my memory serves me correctly in a Championship the AI cars always start in the same position. Now if they were allowed to qualify it would be unlikely they would line up the same way every time. Certain tracks should suit certain cars better. This would help spice up the points battle. Also longer races allow for things like more opportunities for passing/crashes and tire wear and fuel economy to shake up the results.

SimonK
So yeah, they need to tighten things up. If it's a 300hp FR race for example every AI car needs to be at 300hp or close, not have some 150hp cars at the back.

Thats why in my racing car championships all the cars are in the same class. Why have a Le Mans championship with prototypes and GT cars if there aren't class wins? So I created a GT championship for the GT cars and a prototype championship for the prototype cars.

SimonK
Also regarding the endurance races I firmly believe they need to be mixed up throughout the game, not all thrown in at the end.

Not sure if you noticed but my list of endurance races are unlocked steadily as you progress through the game instead of in one large heap towards the end. No point in unlocking the Le Mans 24 hours at the same time as the Roadster Endurance

Don't forget:
Petit Le Mans at Tsukuba, 10 hours or 1000 miles

I honestly want them to stay [though hopefully I wouldn't have to play GT mode to race them]. The Grand Valley endurance is just as good as LeMans 24hr, imaginary or not. With new cars and improved physics, this isn't the same as copying and pasting an old level like it could be in other kinds of games.

What PD should do with their freedom is add more races, not replace races.

Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, the ultimate GT race list would an extremely detailed event design feature where players can make any race imaginable. Additional rules should be added to races and players should have full control over them. Examples would be; flags, pit stop rules, various forms of penalties, multi class rules, multiple entry rules (for races where teams have more than one car entered), etc.

I think if they do BSpec again then the Endurance races should allow you to switch out between your BSpec drivers.
Le Mans race should have you compete in all 4 classes. Each class gets a different bonus. The higher the class the bigger the bonus:
LMP1: 30%
lMP2: 25%
GT1: 20%
GT2: 15%
While you are racing in whatever class you choose, you also see the other classes as well.
AI drivers should also loose performance in Championships.
The racing should be sorted by the type not the difficulty level.
BRING BACK MANUFACTURE RACES!!!!! When you win a manufacture race you have a choice of 4 different cars to select as your prize.
REWARD CARS should not be lame, boring, dull, slow, minivans. They NEED TO BE A SELECTION OF YOUR CHOICE BASED ON THE CARS IN THE FEILD THAT YOU JUST RACED IN!!!!!!
The max money should be set to 50 million.
Add sponsorship to give a up to a 10% reward after races if you choose a sponsor.
Have rally events that aren't limited to a track but have them run on special stages.
Add a Qualifying mode before a race if chosen. If you don't choose Qualifying than you will automatically placed in the middle of the field.

I think having a 450, 500, 550, 600pp etc. online race category with designated servers running them would be great. I think prologue had something like this..

Earth's list is the best I've seen in a while.

I think that the race series should have three different race lengths. There would be "Sprint", which is the normal setting, "Full", which would be longer, but provide more prize money, and finally, "Realistic", which is only available for real-life race series such as Super GT, and would last the full time as the real-life event. So in the NASCAR Series, the race at Daytona would last 200 laps as opposed to 10 with this option on.

And there needs to be a rearrangement with the event order. Does NASCAR really start at Indianapolis and end at Daytona? I think not. With all of this new content, they can add an event each, with Motegi Super Speedway replacing High Speed Ring and SSRX to replace Grand Valley.

PD have ultimate freedom so ditch most of them and start again, no more Sunday cup and all the rest that have been around for ages.

I love Sunday Cup. I actually recreate the races in arcade mode to make them longer. There's no point letting all the little diddy cars go to waste!

Enduro races for every track!
Racing-series for X1

And a better like the wind challenge ( with route X and enemies which drive over 400 km/h )

But with a level editor you could do all that yourself :D

I hope they never make drift events part of A Spec. Fair enough if you like it but it shouldn't be forced on everyone.

SimonK

I don't care for NASCAR but I still had to do it.

They'll put anything in the game to keep everyone somewhat happy.

B-spec Hall (Bspec only)
TBP (30 Events divided equally between Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced)

I've separated the 6 event halls from the special events hall.
Special Events: Special events contains Karting Experience (much expanded), GT Rally (centralized into a "world championship" and expanded), Time Trials, Missions, AMG driving school and other special events.

Notes on prizes: All single race events will have one one-time prize for event completion (winning all races). For Championship type events, there will be a carousel of 4 cars and you will randomly receive 1 of them. In some cases, all four prize cars will be the same car (for example, in Rising Stars formula you can only win the next formula car). In some cases, the carousel will feature only 2 different cars among the 4.

In Endurance races, the prize carousel will pick among only 2 cars. In the B-spec hall, there will only be one-time car prizes for completing all the Beginner Events, all the Intermediate Events, all the Advanced Events and finally for completing the entire Hall.

Weather: All events that require a C, B or A license would not have weather and would all be dry races. Variable weather would be implemented in events that require IC, IB, IA and S licenses, with the exception of the "Megaspeed Cup" and "NASCAR", which would both be always dry. Of course, there would be no weather at ovals in the game at all.

Note on Endurance Hall: In endurance races, you would have the option of bringing in 1 b-spec driver with you (2 in the 24 and 12 hour races). You would switch drivers during pit-stops like in GT4.

Note on B-spec Hall: Regulations would be tight so it would be an actual challenge, tuning and strategy would be vital. Prize money would be low and single event prizes would be paints and gear to prevent excessive grinding. However, the prize cars for completing the entire hall would be rare, as incentive to get this part of the game completed.

Note: For race car events in the regional halls, there would be no car nationality restrictions on car used. As in reality, cars from around the world race in ALMS, BTCC etc. and there should be no restrictions to prevent an Audi LMP to race in the "American Endurance Series" event or a Honda Accord Touring Car from racing in the "European Touring Car" event.

I don't care for NASCAR but I still had to do it.

They'll put anything in the game to keep everyone somewhat happy.

NASCAR is still racing though, drifting is a whole different ball game and I hate any game that forces me to be good at it.
