That's not what I meant. You said bannings have begun, I wanted to know who & when and you'll need more proof than just "it's began".

Most of the GT5 Hackers and participants take offense to any negative comment regarding hacking because they know they are wrong, know they are violating pd and sony TOS agreement and know that players who call them on it are right.

Yes GT5 hackers have violated the Sony and PD TOS (which is like the Bible to me, I read it everyday and take it very seriously). Anyone caught hacking should be banned which will make a very big difference to their life.

Nah, for real, most people couldn't care for a ******** agreement Sony and PD make you accept just to play online.
 
PD have obviously banned more than 4 players (if any at all). If they have started banning people, I would have expected many users coming on here and saying "I'VE BEEN BANNED FROM GT5 FOR HACKING, MY LIFE IS OVER" crap. Not one single person yet...out of 237,000 members? I find it hard to believe.

Ive been OLR with my Civette, not banned (yet) Ive even raced in some rooms that specify no hacked cars, Im honest and explain my car is a LEGIT swap and not some HP molested hakabullcrap, my honesty gets me a chance to race. So far Ive had warm welcomes in most cases as my Civetter is competitive but not overblown or ridiculous. I have been kicked by some rooms before the Civette got more than 10sec on the track but they scared its a hakabullcrap (Thanks HP modifiers, its YOU guys messing things up) them 24k hp cars are the dumbest thing to build and 99% of the people running them online are little kids, too excited to "hack' then anything else, most of them just using the app to mod cars, so they ain't even really "hacking" lol

I just don't and can't believe it. I want to see proof, not "oh I know somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody ..." stories. Sorry to say this, but all this just sounds so ridiculous to me ...

And as I said, I don't want to insult or offend anyone, but unless I've seen something that proofs this story, I won't believe it.

I dont have a hard time believing some with a hacked car got a ban (although might of been for a JBPS3, but my PS3 is JB and Ive been racing no problem.) seems more details may have been left out. However they were probably getting kicked repeatedly from rooms not wanting HP modified cars not taking a hint. Im not sure, cus it dont happen to me, but maybe many complaints on somebody with a hacked car can potentially get them banned if they are using the hacked car to piss people off.
 
I can't really believe it, because I don't know of any game on the PS3 where people got banned ... and no, resetting stats is not the same as banning. I don't say it can't happen, but it's hard to believe for me.
And you can report people to Sony as often as you want, they don't even think about doing something. (my experience and the experience of many people I know)

case to case maybe. Bitching about somebody being a Butt Head inside the rules of the game is one thing, I consider pissing people off with hacked cars to be another. I do not know, hasn't happened to me, just saying it wouldn't surprise me if it did.

this is entirely true, PSN bans are virtually unheard of unless it has to do with CFW or something of that nature, Sony doesn't police PSN for problems with other developer's games.
 
So could I get banned for driving my Samba bus that has been lowered, and had a toyota chaser engine in it?
 
Is there any actual documented proof? If not, then I wouldn't worry about getting banned.

EDIT: Just did a Google search, and I come across absolutely nothing pertaining to banning by PD for hacked cars, except for the posts in this thread.

I do wonder, if they are going to ban people because of hybrids, is it going to be for racing them online, sending/sharing or both?

Just a thought.

Well, the case me (and my mates from GTRP) had, were insulting and racist messages. We even made screenshots and sent them to Sony, but they never did anything.

I think they would ban somebody just because of the hybrid itself. You have to modify the save game for it, and that's violating the TOS. So they would even ban you if you would add money to your account. But the thing is, PD probably won't ban anyone ...
 
I think even Sony has been letting JBPS3 slide since we just hack our way back in lol. Ive not been banned and Ive been all over PSN with my JBPS3. Even the 4.40 update dont change much for PSN access aside from just having to edit the entry firmware txt to spoof to 4.40. However if they do Ban me, Im all set to unbann myself.

Since the hacker scene has decrypted the PS3 save game allowing STD PS3 systems to hack cars it opens a wider range of offenders. Not just hacked systems using HEX code editing hacks anymore so Sony has a bunch of OFW systems offending making it MUCH harder for them to Ban any hacked cars. Nothing in the EURL I'm aware of that says you cant receive a hacked car through online trade ;)

With that taken into account, I would not be surprised to see the case arise where somebody has been banned for malicious use of hacked cars. The case would obviously have more depth than just the use of a hacked car, or upsetting somebody every now and then. Being racist and insulting over the mic may be construed as free speech, and possibly something in the online user agreement saying you may be subjected to such "free speech" if you don't like it turn off mic sound. I do not know for sure, just that kind of stuff online I suspect disclaimers involved, on TV they just say the views and opinions are not shared by the network lol or something to that effect..

Is there no documented banning's for things OTHER than the use of a JBPS3?

It's just a game. Get over it. Nobody who uses these cars or has used them really gives a crap about what the EULA says or GT5's "credibility". Otherwise, they wouldn't be using them. People are getting way to upset over this and need to grow up.

Countless people come and this forum just to complain, and to what effect? None. So it's worthless. Only PD can solve this and they haven't really done anything about it. If you're going to complain to anyone, complain to PD.

Yes, only raping and murdering aren't actually games are they? GT5 is a video-game. It doesn't really matter.

Because hacking a game which is totally trivial in comparison is the same thing. No one's getting hurt or dying because of hybrids. Give me a break.
 
Well.... no, I'm just saying that either way you look at it is wrong,

These cars have gotten so far out of hand I haven't been in a lobby without one turning up, Its quite overwhelming and annoying, But seriously satisfying when you beat one, As satisfying as beating a rapist presumably,

And well you could compare a hacker to a rapist, Its the same formula, "Virtually"
You penetrate an entry point and violate it without remorse or without permission!
