I think the point rarely discussed or acknowledged by most people when it comes to hybriding/hacking etc. is the potential financial loss when it comes to future game revenue. GT6 with open hacking from the beginning is a completely different animal from GT6 straight up. Try to imagine where we'd be today if GT5 was hacked in January 2011. I'd venture to guess most of us wouldn't be here, we'd be off with other sims. This entire franchise is built upon a foundation of integrity, trust, realism etc.
Now with the the GT series online, it'll collapse if you can't line up on the grid next to a guy in the same car as you, and actually be 100% certain he really is in the same car as you. Without that, there is no GT series anymore. I appreciate the work begin done with Hybrids, some of it is just fantastic, you can't argue with that. But whether it's good for the series or not is another issue. PD needs to step up and at least put some new lobby restrictions in place to keep the integrity of open lobbies intact.
If that happens it's down to PD's stupidity, or ignorance concerning the problem. They can change the structure of the game save for example, read all car data from game data, only save the changes (tuning, settings, mileage, but NOT the current stats), exclude things such as power/weight/etc multiplicators from the save (there's literally no use, or even access to them, unless you are trying to exploit), or leave it with the current structure, and adapt the game to hybrids by letting us create hybrids in the game, which of course requires detailed restriction possibilities online, offline, and in any kind of challenge or trial if there are leaderboards. They will have to find a solution like that to both satisfy the people who like to create reasonable hybrids, but also keep the game under control.
[...]those who choose to violate the TOS with PD and PSN should not interfere with my game play[...]
oh and by the way I dont give a @#$% about double posting.
If it is ok to ask. What gear ratios are being used on the 999+mph cars?
NO love for those bs cars....
NO love for those bs cars....
I got bigger fish to fry then some kids making "Hacked" car rooms, Ive not seen any advantages when the race is PP, Tire, and Assist specific that aren't solved with a simple kick of the guy with the negative PP Red Bull. If those hacked car rooms were not there and there were no hacked cars, there would be chunk loads more of bad drivers messing up races all over the place lol... Think about it. All they do is drive back n forth in straight lines pretty boring to me, but if the bad drivers like that stuff, let them stay in that room all together.
I got a issue with getting rear ended into the dirt by some Joe Blow using me to slow down enough to make his turn, and its always just oops. Seems some races start off as a destruction derby everybody just floors it rear ending who's in front of them. So what? Take off impacts & take the skill out of passing? Even had some kid just driving slow and try to get in your way as you pass him, kick that sucker, but only after plowing into the dirt from him swerving in front of me as I went to pass him.
At least most Hacked cars are in "Hacked Car" rooms, its good because all the majority of people seem to do is hack hp into stupidity and break the in game sound barrier (just goes quiet) and spend hours just racing each other in straight lines because they are just pitiful in any kind of turn.
I've actually NOT run into any legit swap cars online. Where are the Legit Swap Rooms?
I have had many rooms let me keep racing my LS7 powered RWD Civette, probably because I never win with it lol get some podiums but never tagged a first place, probably because the Mods I did to it raised up power too much (940hp), and the power restrictor is on high so I get into the PP class that whats left after is not so impressive lol, But I have a good time. I'm always honest I'm in a Hacked car, and while most rooms will just kick you out some will let you in on the racing. I suspect if your snagging first place too often they might change how they feel, I switch it up to STD cars if anybody is feeling the 2nd or 3rd place I'm tagging is more from the Hack then the driver. I take First when I jump in my HKS Killer (My NO MOD go to racer) most often when I can tag a 3rd with the Civette.
In some crowds the drivers are just too darn good, and consistent. I think I'm faster then most, but 3 or 4 laps I'm starting to get distracted, thinking about BS when I should be focused on driving (I guess focus is my issue, but ADD what can yah do) some people are just too darn good on the Track and so consistent there is no waiting for them to make a mistake. Its because of this that in spite of all the crap (hack crap or no hack crap) there is some awesome GT5 racing online...
So what exactly is your point?
I absolutely love my legit swaps. But those hacked rooms ARE full of 10k+HP hondas and gtr's...![]()
murphsmoosethe "practical" hacks are the worst for the online gaming on GT5. Because those can be used to CHEAT legitimate gamers.
murphsmooseno such thing as a legit swap
no such thing as a legit swap
your completely right about me wanting to piss on your hacking parade.
