Curious but has anybody sucessfully modded any of the slower cars like the Subaru 360 and the Honda Life Step Van to where it drives and handles good?

After making this car and first seeing it I'm now obsessed about this "夜の光 GTS-R Viper".

Just the sheer looks. Its majestic to look at. The chrome deep-lip BBS rims and the two sharp white stripes shooting down the car and flowing over the spoiler. Then there is the sound which I guarantee 90% of GT5 players have never heard before.

Its just too good and addicting.

Me and my friend are planning to make a few cars in this certain group of racing. And we'll share them for you guys to hurl round in. Then you'll be invited to and exclusive GTP Club featuring these class cars as a racing series. It will be fast. It will be fun. And you will never get bored as these girls were made to be fun to drive as a super-racecar.

Its a series of simply the most stunning original and addictive cars in the Gran Turismo series.

All cars will be fitted with Race Car chassis and will weight and have similar power/torque. I will release a thread exclusive to this Tomorrow.

^ Install custom transmission on the bettle first, then put another car 6 speed custom transmission and ratio, it should work. You can even use 8 speed custom transmission from ISF then delete the last 2 gear ratio to get that faster shifting time. Adding another gear ratio should make it 9 speed, ... maybe I'll try 10 speed

Was hoping to get a "stock" transmission without the trans whine. Tried to use one from the RUF RGT with custom ratios from a Cayman R but that didn't work, so I just went with the RGT trans and that didn't work either.

You can use stock transmission, it worked on my Devil Z ( 240Z ) but then I reduce it to use only 5 ratio like in the manga. Try to use the ratio numbers from the car's ( beetle ) custom ratio, you know the location for the ratio numbers right? It's listed from 1st to last gear, and a separate location for final. The final is important, as some transmission would not work on certain range of final ratio. Do you use the "that app " ?

Looks like a series that is right for me/one that I actually want to be a part of! I hate most "stock" car series although Spec Miata looks fun. But there's other series where your wins are judged by the itty bitty numbers in your car's settings, which I hate.

Yes. Full custom transmission adds a "gear whine" because of straight cut gears in the transmission. You can hear this in real race car on-board videos. However in GT it's not exactly accurate and highly annoying if you are building a street car.

Yeah, but seems like everything I did resulted in a corrupt save and it got on my nerves. What I'm using now has never corrupted my save, and only a handful of time has it just simply not worked.

You need to be sure that you are making changes at the right location first, I never have corrupted save before and I do make lots of changes pretty often - cross check - use the compare function against original just to be safe. Be sure to encrypt it again when you are done

So will the close ratio transmissions work without the whine?

I was thinking of taking a few away from that list..... Because I wan't all of the cars to be in roughly the same years. I know the Viper and Vette might be a 2002 model but the GTS has been around since 1989 and the Vette since 1999.

I should re-think this through. I wanted to make sure they were Gran Turismo originals. But I got carried away.

What do you think?

Love this idea... I have a Supra RZ with a castrol chassis (966kg) and 1425 hp... could make it less to join you guys or even make another ones but I didn't even see the RZ in your list... Can I play?!


And not to troll too hard but if you need to start in 4th to do a drag, then baisically your 9 speed is actually a 6 lol just saying your first 3 gears are useless it would seem to me... Just my opinion!

I would love it if you join! But I was thinking premiums only and around the years of 1985-2000 cars.

I know its unfair due to the small amount of premiums but we need to make this racing series as fun and beautifully fast as possible.

Maybe you could use the old supra? Maybe?

I actually have an R33 ISF RM chassis (around 900 kg a lil more I think) with 1300hp Premium but I do like the idea of lots of different cars so if you need a guy in an old supra I could be him... I would put the 2j in it for sure though and would have to see what chassis I get to use but keep it between 900 and 1000 kg

The problem is I am a really nice guy and have been sending cars everyday for the last 2 months and still have tons of ppl who want lol but you know what you make it happen and I will get serious on this

I wish I could send more then one car a day :'( lol

Also I am not a pro racer but I am serious and think this is a great way to get better but I hope you don't expect me to be Jacques Villeneuve haha

Just discovered this thread about a week ago along with hybriding altogether for GT5. Had an awesome time in GT3 doing hybrids making all sort of practical and impractical, mild to wild cars. Looking forward to what everyone's creating
