Yeah. I'm pretty sure night racing will be in the game. However, day transitioning to night racing may not be. Only time will tell...

Great pics, too bed its not HD, can someone read all the icons for us? thanks!

By read, do you mean interpret? There's no actual text on those icons.

Well, from left to right (not including the first one which clearly says arcade):

1. Looks like two player split screen, or some sort of multiplayer. Could just lead to an MP menu with both split-screen and online options.
2. Looks like a car, so it could be many things. I think probably photo mode or (fingers crossed) custom paint. Maybe also modifications like spoilers or whatnot. Maybe just leads to a menu for all these options
3. Only thing I can clearly make out is a checkered flag. Maybe single events or some sort of quick races.
4. Probably Garage, maybe dealers, or a menu for both
5. Again, could be many things. Looks like a camera lens, so it could be photo mode. It also looks like it could be car dealers or Gran Turismo mode.
6. Settings
7. Manual

MGR is not and neither are you, look at some of the trailers, the one with the black bmw with flouorescent lights shining off the hood is night for one.
Um, MGR is right. Night racing hasn't been confirmed, but it has been in every Gran Turismo since the beginning so it's very likely anyways.

What has glowing brakes got to do with physics?

Unless you think PC games will physically model the metal properties with heat that causes glowing...

Do you not consider the various trailers as proof?, If not then i don't think you can regard anything in the E3 trailer as proof of anything either then.

No I don't beleive its proof but as said before it is highly likely. I think it was the E3 2007 trailer that showed the camera spinning around a JGTC 350Z (xanavi?) whilst changing locations and time of day. Is that proof of dynamic day-night changes? No.

What do the trailers have to do with anything?

You said MGR was wrong about when he agreed night racing wasn't confirmed, but that it had been in every game since GT1; he was technically right. And there's nothing wrong with assuming night racing being in GT5 when the past four games have had it.

What are you getting it. I said do you not regard the trailers that show nightracing as proof. I do think/know there will be night racing, because it's in various trailers.
OK i didn't say nightracing but since that was the general jist of the conversation i didn't think i would need to explain.

Just to add one more flame into glowing-brake war, GT3 and GT4 have the probably best programmed algorytham for graphics regarding brake glow.

Glow-in and glow-out looks more real than in any other game.

What I'm getting at is that MGR was right, not wrong as you stated.
If anyone didn't need to explain anything, it'd be me.

One sec i'll dig one up now for ya

Edit:Note the bimmer at 1:32

Like i said this is only if you regard trailers as proof. There have been a few other instances though aswell.

So brief glimpse of CGI is good enough for you huh? Looks more like photomode locations to me. There's only 1 car in every CG shot. How is that 'night racing confirmed'?

This shot has at least multiple cars. Still doesn't confirm that it's a race track though.

Like i said, depends on wether you regard trailers as proof. TBH though it's pointless even getting into this debate because we both know that nightracing will be in, maybe not day/night cycle, but nightracing for sure.

MGR
Proof of night racing would be photos/videos of cars racing at night. Simple.

Well what about the Xanvai 350Z, before prologue came out, racing on its own through that city scape, that was CGI, but it was still night.
They wouldn't show night if they were not going to include it. Simple as.
