Its been bugging me all this time but I finally figured out where the idea for GT Academy came from. PD ripped off The Last Starfighter.

Look at the digital gear display in the dashboard. Sometimes it looks like the gear changes before the hand shifting animation does. Example, see at 1:40 minutes in the clip. :ouch:

Calm Down. ITs just a demo. PD saw that before us.Do not worry They already fixed it.

It will since it hasn't predicted your shift. Just like prologue when it thinks your about to shift it will move it's hand to be ready, but if you catch it unawares it will change gear but the animation needs a little bit of time to complete.

+1.
I'm too lazy to explain it! ;)

And this is why the animation looks so "awkward" to some, now the "awkward" effect doesn't kick in and what happens? Someone complains. Irony?

Have a look at the map instead. Looks like there is another configuration of Eiger - namely a loop at the bottom of the hill after the jump.

This may be a really strange thought. Do you think all the cars' wiper blades are going to be synchronized (because of when the race starts) or is PD going to make them so that they run at different times?

One screenshot I noticed, it had two cars with the blades in the same position while the other had it on the opposite side. Could this answer my question? Or did they just do that for the screenshot?

I can't believe I picked out something like this. Oh well...it's not like it really matters *cough* 2-D Trees *cough*

Watch, the game will come out and the reviews will be like, "The game drives great and has a lot of depth, but the trees look bad if you're not moving, and the animation for the driver is silly on about 40/8000 cars. 3/10 better luck next time"
Honestly there are more important things to have page-long arguments over, don't you think ?

Still no trailers on PSN or anything new on the "secret" from the Red Bull.

From what I remember, they would not even have Coors Pole on the sides of the cars much less the beer sponsors in the EA games so it appears they could be on the cars as in the E3 trailer last year, you could cleary make out "coors" on the sides of the car. Also with that new License trust, I expect beer sponsored cars easily in the game.
What is the license trust?

I was thinking this the first time we saw those cars.
As the trailer was (guessing here) un-rated, would the beer sponsors matter at all for the said trailer, or for any demo?

Which leads to this.
Speaking of NASCAR, could Kevin Harvick's #29 possibly make it into the final game? I know we haven't seen all of the NASCAR Stock Cars for the games[we've seen most], and not all of them will be in it, but could the 29 make it before the final release?
As the #29 car will be sponsored by Budweiser after 2010, I would think if the "E" rating keeps the beer sponsors out of the USA copies then we won't see the #29.

I actually hope the sponsors can be in and I would like to see all 3 RCR cars in the game.

Someone in the "NASCAR on GT5" thread asked why we haven't seen any Dodge cars.
My guess is that Penske Racing might have other obligations keeping them from GT5. They are the only organization using Dodge's. They have 3 teams, the #2, #12 and #77, currently.

The License trust is essentially a packaged deal when it comes to the Nascar license. It means instead of licensing an individual driver or team or Sponsor, the license now comes with all the Drivers and teams together. So for instance instead of just having separetly license one car from Joe Gibbs Racing at a time, they can all be licensed at once.
