Speaking of midnight launches. I re-checked with my local GS, and they don't know for sure, but GT5 will probably have a midnight launch. It's turned into a "Moses Game" or a game that's so popular, all the other major titles try to avoid it...it kinda parts the seas. It doesn't happen often, but apparently it was popular enough for MS to move the release of the Kinect forward a day to the 3rd of November.

People complaining about the grass being slippery in GT5? Just wait till you try it in the wet :sly:

That series of 360 spins looks like GT5 :)

After slipping a lot in the time trial (Which I personally didn't complain about) I would love to see how it is in the rain. Overall that spin looked pretty good (Similiar to GT5), although I hope these 'rain' tires can make a big enough difference, I dont want to be too restricted.

I know GT isn't even out yet, but I just had to think of the "next-gen-gran turismo" (PS4) when I saw this vid (pre-rendered intro of the new system 3 game-Ferrari:the Race Experience) and considering the newest videos of GT5, so what do you think, will it look like that?

Wow they have great car models with interiors modelled!I think SYSTEM 3 has a strong connection with Ferrari.I wish that PD have it!
Does anybody know - it's just upgraded Ferrari Challenge or complete new game?

Its CGI not in game.

I think if PS3 was equiped with 8800GT class graphics, PD would be very close to that. Not thinkable with 7950 class graphics of actual PS3.

its great weather has been confirmed, go karts and the track creator.

“Not only will Gran Turismo 5 deliver an even more comprehensive set of cars and courses than gamers saw with previous iterations, it will also feature new game-enhancing graphical effects such as damage, night racing and weather.”

“These innovations are twinned with the option to join millions of like-minded individuals globally within the Gran Turismo community and to find a driving experience to suit, whether that is taking on the Top Gear test track, chucking cars around stunt arenas, go-karting, creating and sharing your own track or intense head-to-head races. Who, where and what to drive is completely down to the individual.”

which was mentioned in this post by SCE President Shuhei Yoshida. all confirmed and shown... but what of the stunt area's mentioned? Gymkhana possibly? strange it wasnt shown.... perhaps itll be in but more for the drifting side of the game?

This is image is from the GTP article here: https://www.gtplanet.net/gt5-gamestop-edition-packaging-reveals-back-of-case/

I was in my local EB Games, Kamloops, BC, Canada, and they had the "Coming Soon" case, with the GT5 SLS Cover. I picked it up and it had nearly the exact same back panel as the image above. The one difference was that it listed the "Network Players" as 1-32.

So is referring to the guy as Master or Sensei. There are people around here who literally dream about the guy.

I see Kaz as a human being, not as a caricature. He is a man wholly obsessed with automobiles, like many of us, true, but he's also a businessman in the business of selling this product of his. One might say he is even more interested in selling it than the average business guy since he has put such a huge, huge part of his life into creating it.

Also, don't get me wrong, 10 seconds difference on a nearly 10min lap is still pretty darn close anyways. But I want to hear confirmation about the game's simulation from someone who doesn't have a vested interest in it. Same reason I won't believe every car commercial claiming the subject is best in class ;).

You are definatley right about a 3rd party confirming what Kaz said but another example was the other driver in the interview who got within 5 seconds with his personal best in real life which is also staggering considering how huge the ring is.About the top gear episode well although GT5 physics are better than GT4 we haven't actually seen Jeremy's lap so ha may have cut corners and what not so the result might be alot closer. But anyway I may sound like a typical Fan boy but it really is huge to know that when you play a game with enough bravery you can replicate your performance on to a racetrack with nearly identical times.

I guess this has been already discussed and as far as I remember it was that 16 people can drive and 16 can watch at the same time the same race... = 32 to share it

Nice review 👍
Very slightly different demos. I had cockpit (select button), damage (at least in Tokyo) but no Indy track to try the NASCAR on.

Yeah , i´ve probably played the same demo as you at a worten store . I think the new physics engine is even better than the GT Academy time trial , i was really impressed . Can´t wait to play this game with the G27.

In what Worten store in Lisbon did you play it?

Karts support 32 racers. I really hope standard cars will as well.

Where did that information come from - that kart racing supports 32 racers? I've missed it completely (if it's true).

Yep a friend of mine managed to play it for 10 minutes in the Norte Shopping Fnac, the demo came in the PlayStation Move Demo Disc but they still don't have the licence to go public with it,but the guy in the store is also a GT5 fan and allowed my friend to have a go at it after the store closed...I'm thinking of heading there myself and bribe him to let me play it during the whole night:drool::sly:
