I haven't read this anywhere else, EB games Australia is offering a PS3 (slim only?) GT5 face plate available the same day as GT5. Though they want $48AUD (bit less than half regular game price here)

Apparetly exclusive to EB games

Of course, because your word is no source to me, sorry. I don't have time for searching either but you were the one saying

Not again. Kaz said billion times there will be no demo for PSN,

so I am the one expecting that you have a source for that statement ;)

how could the sony flagship title be bad ?? when even gt5 prologue was good .... are you %?*(% out of your mind

I guess he wasn't serious ...I mean c'mon, how can anyone doubt that GT5 won't be a good game?
It's more of a question whether it will be the best GT up to date or even the best racing game of all time - but there really is no question whether the game itself will be good or worth it's money, because it will be.

He's making the argument of someone that only buys games that he gets to play a demo on and see if he likes it or not before dropping some benjamins down to play a game that is a "simulation".

Unless one is a social hermite, there are many ways to make sure a game is adapted to one's tastes. The local game store will probably not need a lot of arm twisting to put a game in a test console, and people tend to talk over the internet.

No matter how close a demo is to the final build, you can never have a real taste of the game. Just wait a week, and talk to people who bought the game, and ask around in a dedicated forum.

Making your mind is a difficult task, but people did it before, and will for a long time, so it's not exactly out of reach.

Only an idiot would look at only 1 review. Look at Metacritic that pools all reviews for an average (F1 2010 has an 84/100 for example)

Well, I'd say only an idiot would decide to buy a game or not through review scores alone, no matter how many.

I really believe PD are shooting themselves in the foot by not releasing a demo. In this generation, you don't have to rely in questionable reviews and scores anymore. Download a demo and experience the game by yourself. Casual gamers have gotten used to downloading demos to help them decide if they'll buy a game. And believe it or not, casual gamers are the great majority of GT buyers.

That sucks, I guess I will not buy the game because I have no way of knowing if the game is good.

My guess is that you will, as will everyone who's made the effort to register on this forum.

Demo's aren't really for us and other fans as PD already know that we already plan on buying the game. In reality the only thing a demo is likely to do is put us off! PD are a profit making business and aren't going to spend money where there is no return.

did'nt know the tumbler was a real car ! could be great trying to drive that big monster in a gt simulator : D

Heuuuu.. no no please PD dont listen him. :scared:

Please P-D stay in your GT5-GT6, finish the first, and erase the futurs bugs, if they'r, and stay concentrate for a Simulation game, not an SFx simu game. :ouch:

:ill:

But there are between 15-30 million people who have played a Gran Turismo game. Considering that Prologue, a so-called demo, was a platinum game on pre-orders alone, I don't think SONY has any worries. Besides, I'd rather the work that would have been spent making a demo be put to polishing up the game itself. And if anyone doesn't think GT5 will sell like tacos, and pull a lot of PS3s and Logitech wheels with it, prepare to be surprised.
