I'm not sure in this situation that no news is good news, you would expect a reassuring confirmation by now with all these rumours going on.
Initially I thought this would be just a Russian issue ( and maybe it still is ) but coupled with the silence a few weeks before release I'm starting to worry slightly they may have some unforeseen problems.
I hoped the news page would show an article to clarify this situation when I came in here but apparantly Sony hasn't given a statement yet.
It's not like it didn't happen before in the history of GT despite Kaz sort of promising they would meet this release date in an interview a short time ago ( but then again he says a lot of things ).

...so GT5 is being delayed? How bad does it looks now?...

People... as epic as it may be, still it's nothing more that what it is. A game.

Oh come on, the entire world has indeed far worse issues, each individual has its own personal issues which are far more important and ofcourse it's just a videogame.
That's a no-brainer frankly, so why bring it up?
We're here to have in the great scheme of things a rather trivial and irrelevant discussion and we all know that ( or should know that ), that doesn't mean we shouldn't discuss it, or wouldn't feel disappointed when something we like gets delayed.
Ofcourse it doesn't compare with the stuff that's really important but what do you suggest?
That each time a jagged shadow or poor sound gets mentioned or people expressing their disappointment with a delay we post a pic of the situation in Darfur or the flooding in Pakistan to put things into perspective?

Damn.. Pictures are removed.
Weird, even the description about stunt arena's and sale system was visible,
and now not anymore.. Am I dreaming?

Same sale system as GTPSP, with cars only available at certain times, and stunt arena's confirmed!

GT5 fully playable in holland!

If true, I'm a little disappointed. I'd personally rather prefer to have the choice of buy new cars whenever I'd like (and afford). Used cars on the other hand, it'll be ok. More or less, keeping GT4's way of doing it.

Surely thats just in arcade modes, no way that awful system will be in GT life mode.... (better not be).

Anyone care to explain the sale system in gtpsp. I've not played it.
Thanks.

Only 4 manufacturers a day, so you cant purchase cars when you want you have to wait for the manufacturer to appear, for example Ferrari took ages to appear in GT PSP when you first start and it is easy to miss.

Agreed. I hope they will not put such features because my spare time is very short and I don't like to be penalized also for that...

Wow that doesn't sound too good :S I would much prefer the previous GT systems as just buy a car that you want when you can afford it. And i loved the idea of cars being randomised in the used car lot on GT4, but, if this is true then i guess i'll just get used to it! :)

Maybe there will be a more extended arcade mode working a bit like GTPSP, and the GT Life mode will remain approximately as we've been used to?

Hmm that sounds like a system to make the game artificially longer. If you understand me.

Actually made it much shorter in GT PSP, players can't be bothered with it and just shared/gifted cars (adhoc), I got over 700 cars in one shot by some random person online. Takes all the fun out of it though.

That's exactly my point. Quite some people on this forum, sometimes, do give the impression that they aren't aware of it.

That's ridiculous. I remember Kaz saying awhile back about gt mode being streamlined for today's modern user, busy person type of thing.
Hope that means the spec bob thing not the fact that you can just share everything.
It would make a mockery of any potential trophies too. I'm not bothered about trophies tbh.

I won't go asking others for cars that's for sure.
