I'm really sorry, I believe that video is new... :(

Don't worry about it.

It's pretty rare that someone finds something new that hasn't been posted already on GTPlanet. Chances are, if it exists, it's on this site.

Me too please somebody?? :nervous:

GT PSP basically only allowed you access to a random selection of dealers with a random selection of cars after a certain period of in game days had passed.

It made getting cars you wanted a pain, even if you had the money. It was supposed to encourage trading or something.

Yes, if there is a GT news, on this planet, it was first on GTPlanet. ;)

yup, nice new features coming in! But too many to mention, I come back.

Please Blitz_187 come back soon ...soon.... not sooony ;)

So it's reasonable to expect all 'Standard' models to be part of the used car system, then? I mean I can't see PD wanting to showcase a 'Standard' car like a 'Premium' car.

No, it is not reasonable.

Standard cars can also be new, amazingly.

GT5 Cake, i believe this is a standard cake.

No you don't, we are not comparing a racing game sales to a shooting game, and like i said earlier the sales of GT5 are doing great even just on Amazon with it being number 15 on the top 100 best selling games list and NFS at number 83 F1 2010 is not even on the list.

EDIT: Even on GameStop.com it's on the best seller's list.

I think if you care to look at the other 14 games above gt5 they are mainly fps and some of them have 6 times as many pre- orders, c.o.d for instance is over 1 million total pre-orders and over 500.000 for ps3 alone Number 15 on the list is a poor show 3 weeks before release. When you think it is sony's most anticipated game release in years they will have expected no:1 yes it is the top sim but most people are choosing to spend there money on cod over gt5.
Sony see cod and gt5 as the same thing there just units to sell, fact is if a game releasing 4 days later has hugely out sold yours then you think of moving your date in an effort to ultimately create more sales. Its all about making money. Sony do not care what gt5's genre is they are only interested in moving as many units as possible.

Prologue:: 4million units in 2 years,
gta4:: 6 million units in the first week.
like I said peoples buying habits have changed, argument over.

Depends - we know that all cars modelled for GT5P and GT5 (and GTPSP?) are premium, so pretty much the only standard cars are those ported from GT4. That means that they're all 2005 or earlier cars. It's not unreasonable to think that all of those cars - 5 years old at this point - might be considered 'used' rather than 'new' in the game.

Does that mean that all the classic premium cars made god knows how long ago will all be used?

By your logic, we will only have a handful of '2010' cars.

As i stated, its bonkers to think that all standard cars will end up as used cars.

Its almost as if all these new posters have never played Gran Turismo before.

I know if I was there, I'd be hungry, but id be one of those freaks that hides his piece in the freezer in a box and keeps it as a souvenir.

Many standard cars will probably be used because of their age but some could still be sold as new. I don't follow the last part of your question. What do you mean?

Hey guys I'm new to the GTP forum. I've got a question: does anyone know if there's any chance to see the Corvette C6.R in GT5?
Sorry if it's already been answered before, but I obviously don't have the time to read the almost 2000 pages this thread has!

It is possible that all the cars at the dealership are premium and used cars are standard.

They sell used, older cars at the dealership too, you know.

To be fair, you sound like the one who never played GT before. I'm provoked.

Okays, I gotta say something about the sale-system. It is not only that you can choose from a very limitted number of manufacturers, but also these manufacturers are limited then in their model lineup, means not every car of this particular manufacturer can be purchased. HOW STUPID IS THAT? Back then, I bought GTPSP and was eager to play it, I believe I played it for some 6 hours IN TOTAL. Why? Because the sale system for me was even worse than the fact that there is no Gt mode, for me, PD really killed the game. And I'm not even a "spoiled" gamer, when you know what I mean. I have all licences in gold in GT3 and GT4 and both games at 100% and all cars in both games.
Look people are "defending" this system for GT5 because it is only active in the used car dealer but hey let's just think for a minute how much cars are gonna be available there? I guess AT LEAST 60%, problem is, I want all the cars and therefore I do not want to stupedly search for roughly 600 cars. I hope you understand what I mean.

It's completely reasonable....but it doesn't mean it will work that way.

For example you'd might be able to buy a second hand DB9 from GT4 in the Used section while a New 'Premium' version with whatever updated specs will be available at a Dealership.

It's also reasonable to expect the sound to be better when hooked up to a cinema system but that doesn't stop people moaning about the sound quality from a home made recording.

The C5R has been in GT for some while. Even though it's not confirmed, the C6R should make its appearance. You can check what cars have been confirmed or semi- confirmed through various sources here:
