No, we need both. Silly you. :P

I'd want the LP670-4 SV more but still the Balboni is an awesome Lambo. Looks awesome with the stripe and it's 2 wheel drive too, so sick.

When I read that the 550-2 was in; I could not believe it. And it wasn't an OMFG it's in type of reaction! I was more happy because if that edition/model made it to GT5, then we'll likely see every other Lamborghini model because the 550-2 is just so....sheltered.

But, the 550-2 hasn't made the cut yet, and I don't really expect it to. But yea, having both is better. The more the merrier.:dopey:

Spa is all but confirmed. I'm willing to bet those weather tracks from GT5 Prologue will all be in which will be huge.

The only thing we can do is try to understand their wording based on how they treated this on older games.

Look at GT PSP. They said over 30, 60 variations and in fact we have 45 tracks, then the variations.

They always lowball their own numbers. In GT, i remember seeing on the ads "over 100 cars", and the final count was 166.

I just looked at my GT4 case, and it says "over 650 cars spanning a century of automotive history".

The game has 721 cars, why not say "over 700"? it's like they don't even try to hype their own game.

Personaly, i think Kaz likes to surprise the fans.

We could do some tentative rational track lists, but there's no way tracks like Grand Valley, Trial Mountain, Infineon, Deep Forest, Motegi are not in it.

It really looks like the numbers so far have only been translated back and fourth, without any reasoning.

They don't even need to answer anything concrete, just tell us their definitions of track, variation, location.

QFT.

There is far too much unnecessary speculation going on about the track and car count, this sums it up perfectly.

Hmmm :)

Dude I heard that GT5 is gonna have like DRIVER CUSTOMISATION! Plus there's gonna be a walk-around GARAGE that you can check out! And then full integration with PLAYSTATION HOME!!!! So gonna rock.

If in all this hype in a next interview Kaz still says:
,,The release date is a just a marketing decision..."
I go nuts.. Now with the official cover, the new demo, all the hype stuff.. It's really time for a release date

I find Nurburgring a little narrow... (the moment in replay with chase cam) it probably fits 100% with the game scale but still could be little wider ...

If it is wider then it is not accurate, Turn 10 made their version wider in places for the very reason they think it would be better that way (for online races etc).

I want it to be accurate.

Correct me if I'm wrong because I'm no good with tracks but perhaps its the Valencia street circuit
Just a photoshoped picture of the London track.

Somebody said a few pages back that Kazunori claimed every track from GT4 would make it into GT5 but I don't think they ever said what the source for that information was. Does anybody know? I'd love to see a quote from him claiming this, since I'd be chuffed if they managed to have every GT4 track in GT5 along with all these new courses.

Tapey. I also heard that GT5 would have all tracks from GT4. Obviously they will have new ones also. I also will be chuffed as this means hours of fun game playing.

I'm not seeing any real evidence there, just a magazine cover in someones post who's put that information in there. There's a chance that is right, but there's every chance it's not too. Whenever Kaz has been asked he's said the same answer, 20 odd locations and 70 odd variations. For one magazine to print otherwise bac in 2007 seems more like a misunderstanding or mistranslation than anything else much the same as the "all cars from GT4" comment which again may end up the case, but it's certainly not . I hope we get all the tracks from GT4 and more, but I'm not going to worry about it if we don't and I've not read or seen a single interview with Kaz where he's really said anything other than 20 locations and 70 variations.

I thought it was confirmed that the release is up to the SONY marketing team?

But it IS all about marketing. :(

Yamauchi said that the game would be finished for each region at once meaning that when the Japan release happens all other versions will be complete. It's because of that darn GOW III, FFXIII and other titles that Sony do not want to release the game in March.

The real kick in the teeth will be if they keep GT5 as the big winter 2010 release. I can totally see that happening because no doubt it would boost PS3 sales if released during that period. I just hope Sony have enough sense to know GT sells systems and software whenenever it is released..........that and I really want this game ASAP. :(

french vidéo game magazine " JOYPAD" goes to Japan and meet K Yamauchi at polyphony digital and give us 3 pages of interview and some more scoop about GT5:

- All cars and tracks of GT4 will be in GT5
- more cars and tracks should be downloadable
- 4 driving views
- damages for the race cars
- All Ferrari + F1
- new city tracks
- online drivers : 12 to 20
- changing weather during race

"for Porsche and Lamborghini, no confirmation"
"an employer take the pad : black screen , lot of lines in japan , nothing to understand except "indianapolis""
"I can comfirm a game will be out between GT4 et GT5" K.Y

the article ending whith 2 more interresting paragraphs concerning the problem whith F1 right and another about damages.

it's only a translation of the link

more details when I bought this magazine tomorrow ;) ;)

So 50% of that was said in Novemeber by JOYPAD when they went to Japan on the 25th September 2009, can you just check that the date of the meeting was different? If it is not then the French magazines have had to hold back their information for a good while, and now they tell us more? hmmm...
But they showed a Lambo 560-4 on their own pages in November and they now say its unconfirmed? More hmmm...
Either way I'll buy it tomorrow too to see this, always love the scoop on GT5!
