I wouldn't be surprised if we get the course creator video we already seen. Since there really isn't any information coming out now it's what I'm expecting.

After finally recovering from the shocking recent news it dawned on me that now we're back at waiting for a release date.
Yep. It first hit me when I saw people posting "just release the damn game" on every news item that I post...again.

Is the Madrid launch party still going ahead?

Just wondering if it is, that's where Sony will announce the new release date?
No, the Madrid party has been postponed.

Someone like me has a life outside of GT. So maybe that's why as much as I love GT I'm not hung up on a specific release date. Quality takes times. If you want a rushed product go play another race game, NFS Shift is a pretty decent example. A patch had to be added to it. Cars still hit bumps and fly in the air though. I'm not mr. anal about a game. When it comes it comes. If there is word the game is coming, expect it to come. The wait is just that, a wait. If you've waited for it, you might as well wait a bit longer. People act like they'll never release it. Weve got demos to play at stores, game shows showing demos, information from media sources talking about it. It's not vaporware, so I don't get all the fuss over 'a game' even if it is GT5, like I said before.

Thanks for your reply.
I would have to assume all of us have a life outside GT.
I'm not sure I fully comprehend that explanation with regaurd to it's influence on the situation at hand. I have a very full life, but that can't fill a void that only GT can.

At this point, I don't think there is anyway you could consider GT5 "a rushed product".
Almost 6 yrs is still a long, long time to wait, and finally we had an official release date.
The delay was a bitter pill to down, and no new date.
Now back to somewhere over the rainbow.
There will be a future harmonic alignment of the constellations, which apparently is what it will take for release, and we will get to sample Kaz's GT5 wares.
In this case quality doesn't take just time, but largess portions beyond whats comprehendible.

I do have to admit Kaz isn't likely to let the game go until it is near perfect, no matter how long it takes.
Ironically that is precisely the reason it is my favorite game with far and away more hours of play than any other.
On the other hand it also drives my impatience to be playing it already.

As for NFS Shift, its absolute rubbish. I took it back after less than two hours. Although, I thought it had a lot of potential to be a great racer, had it been properly debugged and polished. Truly a shame.

I'm not interested in demos, any more talk and hype, or info, except a soon release date. The time for all that is and has been way over.
Plain and simple, I want the game and nothing else.

There's numerous other games that get pushed back or delayed, but GT is criticized for it more often than the others. Be it the size of the game or the importance of it, no other game should go unnoticed if it too is delayed. If you don't have patience to wait a month or so longer when you've been waiting for 5 years that's on you. There's plenty of people who have the patience to wait for it. After all, there are other games that you can play. Even if they aren't GT5, you still have plenty of content available to you on the Playstation. Why get bent out of shape? I hope they get it out soon as they can, but if it was delayed for a specific reason, none of us can do anything about it. So petitioning, complaining, rioting etc. is useless. Get on with it and have a good few weeks extra with other games.

When you seem to have a grip, watching people fly off the handle seems quite out of touch, but then people do a lot of strange things when in groups.

If you know that someone is always late to lunch, then why arrive on-time and put yourself in a position where you will be angry, bitter and moping.

It isn't me, but I do understand that people need to cope in some way.

OFF TOPIC: Am I the only one that missed this video from gamescom? I've never seen it before

Let's hope you are right:tup:but I think that all those videos from GameStop are an old build:tdown:

This is the only constant source of info and features being shown to the public at the moment yet you still complain. Are you grateful for anything thats being shown?

WTH? I did miss this one  It´s really getting dissapointing again...

Why the hell did I choose an game that gives me negative emotions all the time till it gets released :scared:

I remember so many dissapointments only in 2010, I really don´t know if they are fetishes and enjoys to make people dissaponted :dunce:

The good news is I did not wait for DNF lol

The question is are you waiting for GT5 though?

I was thinking, and Kaz said he's keeping some secrets about GT5. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a couple more official licenses hidden in those secrets...Like maybe NASCAR allowed him access to the Grand Am license. I mean, they have the Daytona Road Course, and we can guess that the 24 Hours of Daytona is going to be an endurance race in the game, maybe the prize car for winning that race will be a Daytona Prototype.

There hasn't been an Official Grand Am game, and the closest you can get is the Daytona Prototype in GRID (The Ford Doran JE4), and it would be awesome if GT were to give us a taste at what Grand Am game would be like.

That wouldn't surprise me, either, since there were a LOT of D1GP cars in GT4. Maybe they'd toss in Formula D in there as well...be awesome to see Rhys Millan's GTO, Soltice and Genesis or Sam Hyubenette's Charger, Vipers and Challenger...or Tanner's 350Z and Scion tC. or Vaughn's Falken Mustang.

The only downside of having D1GP and drifting in general is the fact that you might damage the force feedback of your wheel :nervous:
I don't know if my dfgt's ff is as strong as it was when I got it 2 years ago. I abused it with the Prologue and Dirt2.

it's probably still close, you just got used to it that it doesn't feel as hefty as it once used to feel.
