On an unrelated note, does anyone know where I can get the GT5P intros in HD? And I don't mean Youtube HD but a proper MP4 file with decent bitrate. I'm looking for the EU/US Intro, SpecII and Spec III

just thinking with all the videos we've seen has anyone actually seen a good clean lap of any track? Theres always someone having a spin out or of course the drunk drivers pin balling of every single wall... but seriously as anyone seen a mythical clean lap?
Is this just pointing toward bad drivers or have the physics been tweeked to levels were you need to be the stig? what do you guys think?

Maybe if someone drove more slowly. The longest held, clean driving video that I can recall was a lap at the Nürburgring.
We've seen many bad drivers, but mainly at the game conventions (from what I can remember), but as for those playing the demo in stores, the physics are new and everyone is trying to drive very fast, so...
When I want to learn a new car, I usually pick a 2 mile track with various size corners and a decent straight, like the Autumn Ring, and put in a quick 10+ lap session. I don't see the demo folks having that opportunity, and they are usually driving exotic supercars.

One thing that annoys me in the demos is that the bumper cam is set to far back. In the videos the camera is still to far back when it should be touching objects, and front tyre smoke can be seen as well.

Sorry for being cynical but at this point I'll believe it when I got a copy in my hands ( and then check there's an actual disc inside ).
I do hope however a new date is announced s....shortly.

Dude, don't play with my emotions. Part of me believes him, but then he uses the same "perfect racing experience" line, and that just kills it for me. So back to waiting for something more official.

Don't forget to check the disc for scratches and rather deep gashes.

The game is not delayed, it is just Sony/PD pulling a stunt on us so that for once instead of this game being late, it will arrive early. Imagine waking up on the 2nd November to find GT5 at your front door after thinking it was delayed. That would be awesome.

It happened to me once, and only once before, because now I rip open all game boxes in front of the store clerk
.A Bushism comes to mind "...fool me can't get fooled again."
I really hate standing in line for a store return, especially on release day.
