I also wish:
The game is not delayed, it is just Sony/PD pulling a stunt on us so that for once instead of this game being late, it will arrive early. Imagine waking up on the 2nd November to find GT5 at your front door after thinking it was delayed. That would be awesome.

Yeah that would be amazing.. but there's been too many official announcements and anyone selling the game has had to send emails out to everyone informing them about the delay. Also if it was a stunt I'm sure someone would let that info slip or get a hold of the gold game and post some real screens.

That's actually a very reassuring interview, since he emphasises that it will "definitely come out before Christmas".

Kaz also laughed at the notion that we had to wait until 2010 for the game...He also said the game was 90% complete a LONG time ago...

KY has said many things in the past...Color me skeptical.

This weeks Turismo Tuesday:

Bikes added. GT5 and TT2 are now merged in one game. Cars & Bikes can race on the track at the same time.

I WISH.

:)

*Note to people who do not realize; this is a joke.

Sorry but I really hope that bikes will never make it in the GT series... Why not also planes, boats, trains? It´s like making a website about every theme on the earth...

I don't want bikes in GT5 but I would like to see a gran turismo style bike game. I as much as it would be great if PD make it I wouldn't want them to as it would delay actual gran turismo car games, but I would love a bike game with a 1000 road and race bikes.

Bikes and cars share the same tracks / surface, and can easily race against each other.

Bikes in Gran Turismo would be awesome.

Seriously some people in this world don't seem to understand that if you don't want to use something, then DON'T. Where is the problem if they added bikes into GT in future? You would still have cars to drive...Riding the bikes would be optional.

Its like the issue with Medal of Honor and the Taliban, If you don't like it...Don't play it. Simple as that.

Rather than PD making GT5 and TT2 and charging £50 a piece, wouldn't it just be awesome if they were both in the same disc?

Damn I hate the negativity that some of you live in. More is better!

You are "asking" for a Tourist Trophy 2. ;)

Exactly. Making a separate Tourist Trophy would only delay the next GT even more.

Yes, but PD has shown in the past with Tourist Trophy, that they want to keep them separate. It's better for the bikes to be in a separate game, that way PD can give more attention to the things that are bike related, as opposed to dumping them into a game that is car focused & watering down those details that would make a bike game better.

For sure it has been though of :) I'm not against it, but not for GT5!! Do whatever you want with the next one..

Oh please, this is not Test Drive Unlimited.
No bikes!!

👍

Also as it's been discussed before a long time ago and my opinion hasn't changed....

I've ridden bikes and driven cars for many years but they offer vastly different experiences due to the inherent differences in how you control them. You turn the wheel of a car and it goes in that direction but the same doesn’t apply to a bikes handlebars. You use counter steer to turn a bike so actually push the left bar to go left which is hard to get your head round but it is true, in addition to this you use your body weight although it has less of an effect than you would imagine. You really can’t replicate the feeling of being on a bike in a computer game which is why the majority of bike games are rubbish, it’s much more realistic to experience driving a car using a force feedback steering wheel.

I love riding bikes but wouldn’t want them in a full Gran Turismo game as I feel they couldn’t be executed with the same quality as cars. No doubt years down the line PD will release a bikes rehash of GT5.

Of course it's just my opinion and I'm not inferring any one else's opinion is wrong.

Why are you assuming that they would 'water down' the features if they added bikes. If there is one thing PD don't do, its water things down.

Bikes could be implemented into GT5 as DLC very easily without any issues, or even be released within GT6. I know everybody has an opinion etc I just can't understand why people are so negative about it. Adding bikes to GT5 would not take anything away from the experience, only add an optional variation for your mode of transport.

I guess some people just don't like change.

The one thing I don't like about bikes in a simulator is we don't have any realistic input device to simulate the experience. For cars we have steering wheels, simple enough. But for bikes, most of us would be stuck using a controller.

Compared to cars, bikes require a completely different driving system (which in a game/sim can only be loosely approximated), and more complex physics. I feel that trying to include them in GT would decrease programming and modeling time dedicated to cars.

NO BIKES IN GRAN TURISMO!!! In real life you don't have races bikes vs cars so why we should have that in GT?? If you want bake game buy Moto GP or superbike... 👎

Tourist Trophy was perfectly driveable with a Sixasis/Dualshock...

I'm not saying it's not drivable. But when I play a sim, I'm looking for realistic input. I can't stand playing GT with a pad, even though I know I can still probably get 100% using one (I beat GT1-3 and GTPSP without a wheel). I'm not against Tourist Trophy or other bike games (I bought TT), I'm just saying it's too bad we'll never be able to simulate bike input as much as we can for cars in out living room.
