Is that an XF, bottom right?

I thought it was a lexus GS-- since it has no side vent on the wing.

Though I think there is an XK (white car in front of the red toyota.)

I think I see both the Fiat 500 & Fiat 500 Abarth.

There are a lot of cars there that aren't confirmed yet, such as:
second-gen Mazda Axela (modified?)
Maserati GranSport (yum)
Subaru R1 (please?)
Jeep Comanche
Jeep Grand Wagoneer
Plymouth GTX?
Lexus GS
Fiat Panda (would be nice)
Citroen DS3 (good possibility)

My kingdom for Jeeps in GT5!

from game.co.uk

I guess we can confirm that car if we haven't already.

I'm pretty sure that Sony invited regular people to bring their cars to the commercial filming area so that they could be in the commercial. So I wouldn't read too much into which cars you see in it.

Isn't Jeep controlled by Fiat now?
If Fiats are in, most probably Jeeps will be too.

From what I gather there have been selections.
Also, like in the other We Love Cars commercial, there are too many unusual cars for Japan or very specific models in those photos.
Surely, they have not been chosen randomly.

Me? I'm doubting we'll get a 2010 date. We keep hearing whispers of "PD was only 3 days late providing their gold copy" or "production issues"... it's now been over a week since the news broke, if it was either of those things (or a combination of both), we'd have a new date by now. We also only have five more business days for them to keep their word on giving us one by the end of the month. How many games, of this importance to their respective consoles, still have no solid release date at 2 months before release (if they manage the "before Christmas" thing)?

I suspect also, if it was due to a jailbreak, we would be hearing of other games being delayed now due to the same vulnerabilities. The other possibility here as I said in another thread, PD punts, delays the announcement into mid November, at which time PD announces that it can't make the Christmas holiday & pushes the release into next year. I think all this is due to the fact that PD is much further behind on GT than is being outwardly being portrayed, our glimpses into the core of the game being mock ups, some with errors such as the B-Spec with the NSX, others with changes in the icons used. Like Bill Gates did with an unfinished Windows product some years ago, presenting it to the public, he was instructed by his programmers to select only those parts that had been coded, but accidentally selected one that hadn't bringing up a blue screen. I think Kaz in a similar way is dancing around, but this is just speculation.

Which car is the red one behind the Maserati?

Toyota Sports 800; one of the lesser-known (and used) cars of GT4.

others: a non-AMG last-gen C-Class, an ancient Suburban, a new Mini Countryman (infront of said Suburban), a Vanquish (mmm)... an older Celica and an S14 are in there too.

Honestly, considering some of the cars are modified, I don't take this to be representative of the car lineup in game. It's interesting, and it'd be nice if these are hints, but I won't get my hopes up.

Ah yes, I think you may well be right there. 👍

And yeah I think it may be an XK infront of the Maserati too, but we've already seen that in Prologue, if you remember.

The "Suburban" is a Jeep Grand Wagoneer, no?

I agreed with most of your post, but what I quoted, I don't, because they did have a solid release date in June, as we all know, but something has came up or wasn't right, so they decided to delay it. The "Jailbreak" issue seems the most logical to me personally, and fixing that could have very well pushed them back 3 days. Then they had to find another slot with the BlueRay company, line up shipping, etc..., and that can take a few days to sort out to get another solid release day, because I am sure they want to release it on time when they provide another date. Atleast that is my thought of the whole issue. They will definately lose some credibility if they don't deliver before Christmas, as that was their "unofficial" date when they announced the dreaded delay. I think Kaz is sincerely disappointed that he was not able to deliver on Nov 2. His twitter apology just seemed different that when other delays have been mentioned.

Plymouth GTX?

Yes, I saw that too. The Blue one with the white stripes looks like a '68 GTX, and the Butterscotch one beside it looks like a '69 Roadrunner with a 6pack hood on it. I HOPE THESE ARE IN GT5!!!!!!

I wonder if they'll include the far-superior 81-82 Jeep J-10 pickup. Got a blue one in the garage. :D

Dont forget the new Fiat 500 over on the right and maybe close up on the left :P

Since it's been playable in demos for a while though, that's not really important...

Doh, you're right!

I can't find the vanquish or the countryman :(

The Vanquish is a tough spot; it's white, infront of the Toyota:

Countryman is infront of the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, to the right of the VW Bus.

True, they had one; but it's a huge backwards step to go from "specific, (apparently) solid date" to a more vague window. Most games, if they're supposedly going to be in our hands in a month or two, have a specific date set. And if it was something as small as the jailbreak issue or a manufacturing problem (on account of PD yet again not understanding what a deadline is), it shouldn't take long to determine a new release date.

I still have this feeling that the rate of work that PD has done with GT5 was really quite slow up until the past year or so. Considering the flurry of new updates we've seen on regular intervals (going from E3, to GamesCom, to TGS), I assume Sony started leaning on them to finally stop fiddling and get the damn thing out.
