Ahh, its been a while since I have posted (since the announce of the delay). I'm not getting my hopes up for a release date this month. The fact that they have waited this long to give a new release date tells me that they still do not know. For if they did, they would have announced it already so that customers, retailers, and stockholders could plan accordingly. WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH WAAAAHHH WAH

You have such interesting things to add here.

I'm not getting my hopes up for a release date this month. I am canceling my preorder. Sorry everyone for the negative rant. Hopefully we will be pleasantly surprised by a release date that is relatively soon.
Hmm, so is he an optimist or pessimist?

Picture straight from this month's issue of the US PTOM:

Given what transpired on the 13th, I found this rather interesting. Perhaps another piece of media published before said date?

Hockenheim in? Thanks to GTRP & RudiRaser 👍

But it concerns the Flügeltürer with the star here and now. It is not only the star on the racing courses and the boulevards of this world, but fascinated shortly also mentioned as a Cover hero of the Sony Playstation play „Gran Turismo 5 “, briefly „GT5 “. In that new video game, which will be available still before Christmas for the PlayStation 3, play fans and autoenthusiasts can experience Mercedes-Benz the SLS AMG owing to the extremely realistic representation in Full hp quality and in already nearly frightening spatial 3D-Darstellung intensively and interactively. On different international and also German racing courses, under it evenly also Hockenheim and the legendary north loop of the Nürburgrings, expect the SLS AMG driver packing high-speed running against competition vehicles from the supersports car segment.

Dude, Hockenheim is not in. Thats just some press event at Hockenheim.

I want to be optimistic, but Sony/PD has let us down twice already and they still have not made an announcement this late into the month. Are they waiting until the last moment because they want to be sure or is it because it is still up in the air? No one knows but Sony.

Another article was posted in the track list thread and it does say Hockenheim is in GT5. People are just unsure if it's accurate.

I'm not so sure its accurate myself. If anything, I'm more inclined to believe Spa is in then I am Hockenheim and thats merely because of that video that leaked some of the track photos, but thats just me. At the moment, I just have no reason to believe its in.

Wonder when they're gonna update Turismo Tuesday's at Gamestop's page today. It's 3pm and it's still showing last tuesday's wonderful / non-animated wall-paper of the same car we've known about (the sls amg) for nearly a year now. /sarcasm

But yeah, It's Tuesday. I wonder if they even have anything to update with? lol

or week 6 :D

haha, yeah, another wall-paper, probably another car we've already seen. I feel kinda bad, Gamestop had a really cool thing going with this, now they've gotta procrastinate just like they do on releasing a release date, and until then go uhh.... uhh... hmmm well we have this from our archive! lets post it! lol

I wonder whether this could be some badly thought through idea by Sony.

Is it actually delayed or is this a bluff by sony, Are they actually going to say a couple of days before the original release date, Suprise it will be released on that day anyway. It would explain the lack of news from Sony or PD and the pretty bad excuse's for the delays so far. I know its unlikey and EXTREMELY optmistic. However it is possible. (The ferrari 458 was developed in secret) so the shiping of the games to a warehouse in each region ready to be distributed in very late october and for the secret to be revealed.

It very unlikely however Sony may think if we let them except the delay and recall the delay then we would be delighted, in sony's view maybe they may think that would solve our unhappiness problems. I know I'm clutching at strings however it would explain the lack of info we have got from sony.

Please don't shout at me for suggesting this I know it is really unrealistic however I was just curious about this whole situation and this answer to it seems to cover most the base's.

i have a feeling theyre discussing it now,

"boys turismo tuesday needs updating, whos going to do it? we have another load of weeks to add in till march 2011 so weve got a few more filler car pics to go up!"

so maybe they are just going to pull it down!

I'm from Germany and the article says that you can play with the SLS in GT5 on German tracks like the Hockenheimring and Nordschleife. So for me it confirms that Hockenheim will be in the final game. That's great news for me :)

Really? The other article (also German if I recall) didn't seem to say that.

At one point I wanted that to be true as well, but then nothing adds up. Plus I have some bills to pay next week that will put me below my CE pre-order price. So it will suck for me if Sony says, "Surprise! We're taking $118 out of your bank account without telling you. Aren't you happy to get GT5!?" Which I would be, but you get the picture. :sly:

The article indicates Hockenheim is in indeed. Though I'm still a bit suspicious.

Quite some time ago, I really felt like all these various weather locations in GT5P couldn't be featured in the game. But since the latest tracks to be unveiled were Laguna Seca, Monza, now possibly Hockenheim and Monaco, well... we may not exclude something BIG.

Yeah sure, provided that the source for the artice is right. They also mention that GT5 comes out before chritmas and say that the delay is because there are some minor things that weren't perfect enough for Kaz. All new track they created consists of 80.000 photos made by themself and Kaz said they don't trust the local track guys or the automobile manufactures with track data. They want to build the tracks on their own knowledge.

I don't have 100 posts so I can't create topics on the GT5 board. But here is some video of GT5.
