Ok I think Kaz knows about Spa and that it´s one of the best tracks on the planet... I bet it will also be in, if hockenheim and monza is in...

Well if Hockeinhaim is in then that pretty much confirms SPA ,funny I was playing Hockeinhaim in F1 2010 and wished they model it in GT5.

Also the previous article apparently mentioned something about them visiting Polyphony. If that's the case then they probably saw the final build of the game which is how they'd be able to confirm Hockenheim.

@sems4Arsenal: Not to be mean or anything, but I don't think the transitive property from Geometry can be used to say Spa will be in if Hockenheim is...

Though it will be splendid if Spa jumps on board GT5.

Right, they visited Kaz in Tokio. So I think they saw the final product or close to them. Also hope that Spa will be included. One of top 5 tracks in the world, it's a must have track.

Looks like it might be an ok track to race at and looks like it has 3(?) possible variations.

Korea in the rain ! Add a few Formula one, and we can almost recreate last weekend 💡 :D

That race was fantastic! And that track is awesome.

I would like the Singapore track though. I don't know what it is but I really like that track also.

seems the "news" is beggining to creep up, surely with all these "events2 the release cant be as far off as march?

theres either a LOT of events to come untill march, or a big gap of events when they all run out!

The new Hockenheimring only has 2 different variations, one is only for german car magazines or televison shows for track tests (it's the small one) and the long one for F1, DTM and so. But this year the DTM raced on a new track layout which I think PD won't have modeled. So with the old Hockenheimring maybe we'll see 3 different layouts.

In saying it won't handle 40 mins of racing you've pretty much just described almost every production road car ever made. Almost no road car is designed to be hammered for 40 mins on a track. There are the occasional track day specials which are more resililient to track use, but cars like the Veyron, Enzo and Zondas will all be knackered after 40 mins of on the limit track driving. The bottom line is the Veyron is insanely fast despite it's weight. It handles well despite it's weight and it laps a track very fast despite it's weight. And all of that is despite track performance not being on the cars agenda. You are right, it isn't a car designed for racing, but neither is an Enzo, it's designed to be a very fast road car. Try to race it without modifications and it will break, the same as a Veyron which was designed to be both a very fast road car and a very luxurious one at the same time.

When I was writing my quote I had the quote of AleksandarSRB in mind (witch you quoted) where he mentioned cars like Mc Laren F1 LM and Ferrari F50. The by AleksandarSRB mentioned Diablo won't make it for 15 minutes.

AleksandarSRB
There are much more iconic car's than Veyron... Veyron is fast only on drag race but not on track... McLaren F1 (F1 LM) are musch more iconic car and he win so many races! Alo Ferrari F50 and Lambo Diablo

I agree that for every car you would need some mods to make it track(race) ready. Altough I think the F1 LM and F50 can hold longer than others like 'normal' streetcars and the Veyron. The F1 LM is a racecar for the road IMO.

The Veyron would be an expensive project to make it a racecar. In a top gear episode they mentioned the tires of a high speed test and they were 20000 pounds a set if I am correct. Thats only a set of tires:nervous:.

Imagine if they modeled the old Hockenheim

Right now I don't even think that we'll see the new one in the game, I have asked for confirmation but I'm rather expecting that it was a mistake by the writer of that article. I just hope that he'll respond to my mail - as soon as he does I'll post his answer here.

Good thinking.

The "straight" section after the the tight hairpin is part of the old circuit. I remember that you'd come diving down past that new turn complex and enter the old short circuit. It might still be used as a motorcycle section, but I doubt it.

This section you mentioned is not in use anymore. But you're right that it was part of the old fast Hockenheim circuit.
