All sounds great but now I'm hearing the release date has been put back again:tdown: Sick of it. After playing Need for Speed: Shift I find the gameplay on GT Prologue, vague and uninvolving:tdown:So I think I might wait until GT5 is released on Platinum, that way I can be sure its actually been ####### released:ouch::ouch:

Ok, I'm seriously bored with these release date shenanigans...👎
Here's what happens when you happen to crash a car with a carbon fiber body.:scared:

I'm really interested in the final damage modeling in GT5, and I hope it isn't going to be like watching a bunch of scaled models rigidly bouncing around, but fully fledged damage where car parts brake+dent+fall off, materials are taken into consideration and so on.💡

Let's face it guys. It's not coming out this year.

To be honest, some 1-2 days I thought differently, but now, I agree, at least I think it is quite likely NOT to release this year. Simply of the fact that there is this silence again, and we know what that means...

I wouldn't be suprised if we get a spring 2011 release date over the next couple of weeks (and then of course a Holiday 2011 release date) :grumpy:

Games like black ops and MoH had advertising campaigns MONTHS in advance of their release dates. For GT5, one of the biggest PS3 exclusives ever, I haven't seen anything, at least not here in the UK.

When it does inevitably get delayed to 2011, they should at least give us a demo of a new build.

You're right mate. and this game is actually the BIGGEST PS£ game ever. this is meant to get xbox 360 users to migrate to the PS3. sony need to put in the effort and money into the advertising campaign if you ask me.

God it feels awful, but if there is no news from Kaz or Sony by tomorrow then I'm boxing my DFGT. There's no need for it to be collecting dust waiting for GT5.:indiff:

Well, didn't GT Academy 2010 start on the 17th of december? If GT5 doesn't come out this year then we'll probably get GT Academy 2011 in december.

The info about GT Academy 2010 launched on the 3th btw.

I dont want another 🤬 "time trial demo" like last year, I'm talking about a demo based on the latest build with at least a few cars and a couple of tracks.

last year's time trial demo was embarrassing to be honest.

I am still waiting to see what happens, and if GT5 doesn't come out in 2010, I will be disappointed, but it won't be the end of the world.

I still think that it is weird that only the Asian and North American pages on GT.com have new about the delay on them. Why would they not update the news section for all the pages and it has been weeks now since the delay was announced so it cannot be that they have not had time.

lol.. grasping at straws? I don't concern myself with fussing over a release date that was never to be. If you know GT, you know nothing is final until the damn thing is in stores. Only people like you 'grasp at straws' to deal with your fascination over trivial things like a delay! Seriously, what's the worse that it can be? You'll get it this year. Like I said before, people who are fussing over it not being out lack patience. You've waited this long, you can wait a bit longer. 5 years to a few more weeks is nothing. I love GT as much as the next guy, but I don't cry a river because it's been 'delayed'. I don't do the pre-order thing, I'll get it when it's in the stores, that way I'm not disappointed like the lot of you when we don't get it the day they initially gave.

Seth, you are full of assumptions. People like me? I don't have a fascination with the delay. I merely noticed that things you were saying were false. You can not ignore fact. Let us start with your first statement, shall we?

"You can't rush PD and Sony to get the game out, there's a good reason for the delay, in my opinion it's not even a delay cus the game never even came out..."

This statement doesn't make sense. You acknowledge a delay, but words later you're on to how it isn't a delay. You also give a nonsensical reason as to why. Then in a later post you write the following:

"...but GT5 to me isn't delayed, I didn't expect it here on the 2nd of November..."

You are talking about two very different things in this statement. You confuse fact with your expectations. The fact is this, the game is delayed. This is why I quoted Taku Imasaki the Producer of GT5 to the SCEA. His words are below:

"We can confirm that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available this November 2nd, but the game’s release will be coming this holiday season. We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay..."

Now, I can understand that your expectations for the game have not been tempered. A delay is fact even if you argue to the contrary. The way you use words is powerful and their meaning relevant. It would serve you well in numerous conversations with folks to use these terms appropriately. That is all.
