I got my copy yesterday and the owner gave me a pre-order docket so he doesn't get in trouble with GAME owners.

There are clearly not enough copies in existence for all those who ordered the game.
We have had the banking collapse that shufled virtual money around eventually to nowhere. Is this the beginning of the game suppliers crash? I think virtual stock quantities of GT5 have been spinning around the globe.
There has been trading in "Toxic Turismos". Deals that can never be resolved. The tyre has burst. The G25 steering wheel has come off in the hands at 200mph.

Though Gran Turismo along the rest of the gaming industry is huge, it will never ever reach the size nor have the power of the banking industry. And I hope they don't.

I am sure that they will stock enough to fill every pre-order plus some.Why would they start running short if you have it pre-ordered?
 
I preorded from Gamestop 8/31 and checked my order status today. I have home delivery specified. The status today said "backordered" I was suprised and investigated. Of course access to the online ordering warehouse is not easy to find. I found a direct number at last and the "backorder" status was not correct. The agent stated future orders wound be backordered. My account was charged today and should get GT5 CE Wednesday. The Number is 1-800-883-8895 if any other racers have this status.
 
Today, I drove out of town to do some snooping to see if I can get somebody to slip up and let me get the game early. I went to 3 Wal-Marts, a Target, 3 GameStops, an EB Games, 2 Best Buys and Toys R Us and when I asked "When can I pick up Gran Turismo 5?" every one of them said "on Wednesday".

This some BS. I guess people on GTA will have to suffer until I get my copy.
 
I called 3 GS's and asked "Are you sold out of all pre-order's of Collector's Edition & standard?" Yes, So why no Midnight release? "To close to Black-Friday." 10am Wed it is. I waited this long...

Right, I'm driving around town hoping I can catch somebody slipping, but all I did was waste a tank of gas. When Wednesday roll around and they act like they can't give me a copy, Gamestop will get punished.
 
I never realized how bad the shadows actually look

But the games graphics are some of the best those shadows look like they come from the stone age.

I'm wondering if there will be patch but I'm not really sure...
 
For anyone still wanting CE....gamestops website on the main page under "now shipping" has GT5 CE copies still left. It wont let you choose in store pickup, only delivery to your home.

I went to my local gamestop tonight to check on the pre-order status, collectors edition is delayed until Thursday at my store due to the shipment not making it on time. The regular edition is already there.

Word is Milton Real Canadian Superstore is already selling GT5 copies.

Got the CE today. Doing the a and b license right now. Any questions?

Btw: it feels so much gt4, which is a good thing. The old feeling comes back with a fresh new design. Love it!!

GT4s physics were weird, Cars wouldn't turn, the E-brake kills the engine and drifting was impossable compared to GT1, In GT1 you take the Viper GTS-R out and give it gas through a corner and slide the whole way no problem, in GT4 you just spin out -_- I hope they fixed some of these problems.

You would either spin out, or once countersteering in a drift it would grip and pull right out

Because in Australia you can show a receipt to the guys which gives them permission to sell the game early.

It kind of worked too, he e mailed the head office and he said it's likely I'll get the game tomorrow - 1 day early.
