Why is it doing it since last update?

Maybes its me, but its done that to me since release day, way before this update. Hell, GT5P did that to me all the time.

My point from earlier regarding my B-Spec racer (before I sacked him) was probably a bad one because I'm more of an attacking racer. I can hark back to the bone-headed move Paul Tracy put on Alex Tagliani in 2006 in the Champ Car World Series on the streets of San José. The driver just got off course, stuck it in the gravel, WAIT for the other cars to pass by to go down to 8th Place (last), then decide to get back on the track. I guess I was just mad that my B-Spec driver was too passive and shy about going up through the pack rather than offensive.

As for the clock issue, that was a problem that was eventually sorted out over time when GT5 loaded. I haven't gotten that message about my clock settings after a while since downloading the 1.10 update. This is only a problem if you continually get this. But at least to me, this clock issue will probably resolve itself over time. Check the clock settings anyways to be safe.

For the love of God why does GT5 keep telling me my clock is not correct?

It often helps to 'reset' your PS3 clock I found, sometimes it's a difference of mere minutes which seems to activate that message.
Just reset it with the online function and that message disappears. :)

Yeah, but it takes all of a day to bugger up again :grumpy:

Really? It only occured once so far since I played GT5, in Prologue it happened more often, strange.

Yeah, I went through a phase of re-setting it daily. Now I don't bother. I never reset it with Prologue, so I can't compare.

Actually, now that I remember, GT5 did go through a phase of being fine for a few months before the clocks changed again. Since then it's been a pain - maybe it'll settle down soon.

I too have the clock problem. I reset it several times but eventually it will keep telling me that it is incorrect. So its now just second nature to me to just click ok.

I ve solved the clock problem. Go to PS3 time and date settings. Tune via internet then daylight saving or standard which one is corret for you. Thats all its fixed. i didnt see any clock problem

For the clock issue, go into the system setting in the XMB and change the PS3 to set itself via the Internet... problem solved.

Until the next time it messes up.

That fix was mentioned in analog's post above ;)

I just ran the fastest I've EVER run in GT5. Only one car can surpass the "111 Meters a Second" deal, and I earned it by clearing the GT World Championship. Only one car is capable of truly allowing you to go full speed. At first, I ran Special Stage Route 7 with the Bugatti Veyron (a car you all might have heard of before. Supposed to be very fast). I didn't crack the 400 km/h (about 248 mph) barrier at first. Then after piling on horsepower upgrades, I went as fast as 255 mph! I think that's the fastest I've ever gone in a street car in any GT game. Fastest I ever recall going (legally) was about 270 mph in a Pescarolo in GT4 after adding a Stage 4 Turbo to it.

About the GT World Championship... it seemed very disappointing how short it was and the cars featured. I bought a Peugeot 908 HDi FAP thinking it was going to be a prototype battle GT4's GTWC was about. Maybe that's the most disappointing thing about GT5 to me- some races and championships seem to be over too quickly. Either longer races or more races would be better, especially for Gran Turismo's signature championship.

I am now running the Expert level races in A-Spec.

[UPDATE] Correction... the fastest I've ever gone in a "road" car was 260 mph in a Toyota GT-One Road Car in Gran Turismo 2. Still, I've NEVER been beyond 250 mph in GT5 until earlier today.

The list was released when the game was still in production, back at the time people were speculating if all previous tracks would make a comeback in GT5, which is why there are a bazillion different tracks on that list, someone just took the speculation a bit too seriously, so it's hardly even worth mentioning I suppose.

On other hand, there was a Red Bull press release which mentioned the Pikes Peak Hillclimb track, that could be a leak of said track or ( more likely ) a simple mistake.

Actually no, I went to that list after the release of GT5, and it had the same tracks that make it into the game, the current list, that I mentioned above, is more recent, for sure that's trolling, also, I won't remember that Zamboanga Street Circuit being speculated, like I said, I won't remember.

Very strange, I earned it in the first days of gaming, doing Jeff Gordon's challenge at Daytona.

Wait till you get the X2010, you can almost reach those speeds when cornering, it's both scary and hilarious.

Oh, trust me. I'd pass out and die if I raced the X2010. I tried to get the Rollover trophy and did just that. I intentionally failed the final event of the Jeff Gordon NASCAR School (2 laps at Daytona) and wrecked to where I rolled over. Even as the "Disqualified" screen was up, my Impala stock car was on its roof, and I got me the Rollover trophy. I always realized why cars in GT don't roll over anyways prior to GT5. I swear there are times where I fear my car (or someone else's) would roll over on its side or on its roof... but never did.

I still find it fun getting those Museum cards and the extra paint items. I think I sometimes get some extra Museum cards of Museum cars I already have. May have to start trading some of my extra ones. Sometimes, I get some of those Used cars just to get the colors (especially if I see anything I like). I colored one car with Redhot. I liked it so much that I got a Holden Commodore SS colored in Redhot to add to my color collection. I almost seem tempted to get a TVR in one of those color-shifting paints (like the notorious Reflex Spice) just to add to my color collection.

I am actually taking a break from the A-Spec and B-Spec races to try to win the Gran Turismo Rally Tarmac King events. I get behind so far in the tarmac rally events that I am terrible in trying to make a comeback. Of course, you need a proper rally car for the Advanced Rally events. I am using the Ford Focus WRC that I won for clearing the Intermediate GT Rally events. I was initially torn between getting the Citroen C4 WRC or the Suzuki SX4 rally car. But, just trying to make due in tarmac rallying with the Focus. I even made a course in Course Maker to practice my tarmac rallying.

I think you mean the 200 mph one, not the 400 km/hr one.
I got the former in the NASCAR special, too; I've yet to bother to achieve the latter.
Sorry for my fault. I checked psn trophy date, and is the same as Vettel challenge.

From reading past discussions it seems theirs separate servers in each continent.
Would their be a benefit to Gran Turismo, additional tracks only available by location?

Example- North America server would have tracks like Road America and Mosport International Raceway.
Germany's addition is Hockenheimring Short Track. Of course the UK's list of cool little road tracks is endless.

Or would it be best for programming to have the same tracks at every location?

I wonder that there are no secret cars or something in GT5... In the old GT games there were always some surprises (or cheats to get an porsche?)...

Hey guys, I need a lil help. When I booted up the game, it froze when the "Gran Turismo 5" logo appeared on the screen. Usually (when it works), the online terms of use thingy appears below it but not this time. I tried quitting the game and starting it over several times but nothing worked. I thought it could be the disc so I popped in my other copy (that had never been used) and the exact same thing occured. What could be causing this and what do I do? Thanks.

Check the memory if there is alot of things you saved in your ps3 maybe thats the problem and try again entering gt5 but leave it maybe its really slow then install game data ( if you already done it , do it again )

if it didn't work the last thing i think you can is delete game data utility for gt5 and install again and see what will happen !!

That slow loading thing happened to me last night. All I did was quit the game and then try again. Worked just fine the second time.

My game has been freezing a lot lately when ever I enter or leave an online lobby.. But only sometimes.. It annoys me though.

Push the ps button and wait for few seconds ( until everything shows ) then get back to the game maybe thats will help ( it works with me )
