No, unfortunately not. I really like the current intro (yes, also the piano part), but My Chemical Romance kinda ruined it.

YEP! There is so much better music that would've fitted. Such as "Horsepower".

Do people honestly watch the intro over and over again?

Nah, but the intros were always a "special" part of GT for me. Will never forget the moment I saw the GT1 intro the frst time with "Everything Must Go", got me so pumped. The GT5 intro is the first where I don't like the song.

I like to watch it to get me on the mood to race... usually while enjoying a beer. I don't get time to play GT5 as often as I like so getting the wheel out and preparing to race is like a ritual.

Back in the days of Gran Turismo 1-3, I watched the intros 99% of the time. Yes, they were that good!

GT4, I usually watched start, but rarely made it all the way to the end.

GT5, I skip the intro before I hear the first piano key. It's smegging terrible for Polyphony standards.

I did with GT4 and GT5:Prologue. GT5 is just too slow to begin with in my opinion. After I watched it a few times I no longer found it interesting. After the piano scenes it does get better for me anyways. The song choice could be better (they should have had feeder like in GT3) but it's not terrible like most people say it is.

I turned off the intro scene after the first view. My Chemical Romance ruins it. I wonder if I'll have to turn it back on after the update? Either way I'll probably watch it once then turn it off again. GT5 takes long enough to load with out the movie IMO.

I would if the piano part wasn't so long and it would have instead just gone straight into the actual intro. I've done so in previous games because I love the songs used.

I like the Chemical Romance part, but i don't need to see how they make a fast Datsun.

A good idea could be a mid-intro save

TBH I don't like any of the soundtracks in GT5, worst choice of music in the series.

No, I'm not listening to music when driving but I loved listen to music while watching synchronized replays:)

Really miss that feature.

GT5 really needs to bring Feeder back. In my opinion Feeder is the ultimate driving music. Daiki kasho produces great music too. 👍 I thought Prologue had a really great choice of music.

I just skip the intro, disabled in options menu. Less buttons to click :)

Woah, did not know you could do this. Thanks I will do this if the new intro still sucks. Pity I couldn't even skip past the whole datsun scenes at the beginning. Lang Lang is a great pianist but he could have picked a better tune to play - it just doesn't feel fluent, it's all a bit too mad for me.

never forget !

i can watch it 1000x times a day... :dunce:
You see... THAT is a proper introduction. I actually still prefer the PAL version of the GT2 intro (the same for GT3). The Favourite Game - Remix version sounds a bit mystical, and they even changed the colour tone of the video to a darker brown to suit. 👍 I can't post a link of the PAL video here, because I'm at work.

AND, one of my favourite Gran Turismo clips is the ending credits of GT3 (PAL) with that Lenny Kravitz song.

I know Polyphony are still capable at making good videos, as they've shown us with GT5's ending movie (Smashing Pumpkins - 1979). So I still have some hope for this new introduction for the 2.0 update.

I'm from the US, but this is slightly different from my game's intro. The song is exactly the same, but mine is shorter and ends with a fade, only to be replaced by engine sounds. (and I now it isn't the remix version, I've seen that one)

While people are discussing a new GT5 intro and DLC of former GT tracks, I have to say I would love to be able to watch, re-watch and show others a HIGH DEFINITION GT5 remake of this particularly epic 'Vision Gran Turismo'.

(Music: "Rise and Fall" / Boom Boom Satellites).

So many cars, so many pit-crew... I would love these numbers for GT6 on PlayStation 4. Given the hardware limitations, I don't think there's any point releasing GT6 on PS3, rather keep improving the GT5 engine, keep producing very high quality assets and selling DLC to PS3 quality / capability / standards. PS3 DLC will surely sell and continue to fund further, future development. When the next generation arrives, higher quality assets should hopefully become more usable in-game and should ship with the game.

Anyway, if the GT-PSP / GT4 tracks are forthcoming with the post-Spec II DLC, I don't think anyone could do much better than try to reproduce this 'vision' for the game and follow it up with 'Moon Over the Castle' along with some great racing action.

The PAL version of GT2 had a truly fantastic intro.

I totally disagree about GT5's song selection. I found alot of great bands and artists thanks to hearing them in the game. Maybe the new Intro will introduce to me yet another.

...I gave up on the music and turned it off in the end, preferring to just run my laptop with itunes up next to me! Personally I want feeder, more feeder and just a little bit more feeder on top for GT series games. I suspect the presence of feeder was why I persevered for so long with GT3 at the tend age of 12.
