The quality of the track actually looks close to Iracing level. If that is GT5, I'm impressed.

Someone just uploaded them both to compare. The original is in a GT article, the track is in GT for sure.

There's some slight differences between the iRacing version and the one in that screenshot that is supposedly GT5. Also, the track name is in the same way the PD does it.

Well. I saw a video of iRacing's Motegi track, and lets just say it's different from the picture we're seeing now. Start at 1:19 and you'll see it.

The sand in iRacing is also different from the picture as well, and the colour of the sky and the clouds.

I don't know why there is even a suggestion it's from iRacing. The screenshot originates from an article on GT Academy, alongside other screenshots all from from GT. Why would they stick an iRacing screenshot in there, just for ***** and giggles?

You would have to assume PD/Sony press department. They probably weren't supposed to post them yet.

It's obviously in the GTA download but does anyone else see them letting you play it for free in that then releasing it as paid DLC in GT5?

Maybe once you've golded the events, they give it to you for free...just like the other prizes (GTA Leaf, Silvia, etc.).

Yeah I know, I guess I meant does it say 'Sony provided these latest screen shots'?

I think they won't have a problem letting us use it then charging. They did similar with Route X, charge us then let Academy people use a portion of it for free.

So if we are going to race in that circuit that nobody knows (now i know why is the last round that really counts to win GTAcademy, smart move by PD) probably (and now begins "speculations part 2") after GT Academy "OR" we are going to unlock not only the cars but the track too or only unlock the cars to import into GT5 but maybe they have a DLC prepared with the track and possibly more cars.

Sounds good to me and i like speculation!!

Well of course, that includes Monza, some Eiffel courses, Route X, Nurburgring, and other tracks I haven't mentioned that we've seen already.

I guess Motegi is nearly certain to appear in GT5 at some point.
If they modeled the track for the Academy, they'd be completely stupid if it weren't included in the game.

Especially the Motegi East layout was THE favourite layout of mine. Such a fun track. I'd happily part with some money for that layout alone.

Personally it'll take a whole lot more than one track to get me to put my GT5 disc back in my PS3. If they don't add new events or something else it's use is pretty limited at this stage of the game.

That page shows ssrx as being one of the academy rounds. Wonder if they will unveil new parts of the track can be seen when you use three break out glitch.

At this point I'm expecting a lot of new content as part of gt academy. There's no way 18 months of work could pass with just 3 car packs and Spa.

My 2 hour, 55 lap Grand Valley race yesterday with a margin of victory of just 0.017 says otherwise.
