Can someone tell me if the latest round of DLC (the one with the BRZ) will be included in the new GT5 Academy Edition or not?

Probably not, informations say that only Nissan GT-R from newest DLC will be included. So you'll have to buy BR-Z in PSS.

How many GT5 editions we up to now 4/5?

Only Edvard V12 can answer you that question with full accuracy, but he still hasn't updated the list for his GT5 collection.

From what I can tell, there are following *regular* editions on 3 territories:

- Gran Turismo 5 regular release edition for NTSC JP/Asia, NTSC US and PAL
- Gran Turismo 5 Signature Edition for PAL (Chrome/Stealth cars as special content)
- Gran Turismo 5 Collector's Editions for NTSC JP/Asia, NTSC US and PAL (Chrome cars as special content, some differences in other *physical* content)
- GT5 Greatest Hits/Platinum (budget) 2011 releases of regular edition for NTSC JP/Asia, NTSC US and PAL
- GT5 Spec II release for NTSC JP/Asia (2.0 update + Racing Car Pack, Car Pack 2, Course Pack, Racing Gear Pack, and Paint Pack)
- GT5 XL Edition for NTSC US (2.0 update + Racing Car Pack, Car Pack 2, Course Pack, Racing Gear Pack, and Paint Pack)
- GT5 Academy Edition (to be released on 29/9 for PAL EU, 2.07 update + Complete Pack (Car Pack, Course Pack, Special Paint Pack, Racing Gear Pack), Car Pack 2, Car Pack 3 and Course Pack 2 and
The Nissan GTR driven in this year’s Nurburgring 24 hour race by series creator Kazunori Yamauchi)

That is basically it.

Well, there's the...
Signature Edition
Collector's Edition
Normal Version
Platinum Version
Spec 2.0 Version
XL Edition
GT Academy Edition

I may have missed some but that brings my count to 7

As far as I can see, only the Nissan GT-R From this year's Nurb24 will be the only one it (as it is featured prominenetly on the cover).

Thanks for the replies, seems kind of harsh to release new DLC just right before the release of the Academy Edition and not include that content in the game because some will be under the impression that it has all content released to date.

Lol nice but Spec II and XL are same the academy version has little more content.

I thought it was good time to announce GT6 at TGS. Surely they should make it on PS3 as well. PS4 is still some 2yrs away

Exact release date for the PS4 is right here. :) You think Kaz can release GT6 by then?
EDIT: There is some info on GT6 on that page as well.:D

Not "exact" at all... that link says:

"While Sony has not released any official information concerning the system's future launch, the generally accepted release date is pegged as late 2012, which would follow the trend of Sony's previous console generations."

I interpret that as "speculation". Quite different.

Yea i ment to fix that:crazy: Theres an update below were just read about it. According to what it says on there about GT6 it says GT6 will probly be released on the PS4 and i highly agree with that because i doubt Kaz would release it just before the PS4 comes out.

No way PS4 is realsing next year. I can't see it before 2014 TBH.

Even if they make it for PS4 with next gen graphics, damage and weather effects. They need to make for PS3 when potentially there are millions that will buy it.

Yea there is a good convience with that, as for the PS4, there is no telling when it's going to be released, release dates are always unpredictable!:indiff:

Exactly how does this little Countdown site count as reliable source? It looks like it was just made by overly eager fanboys.

If I make a little flash applet that says the exact date GT6 comes out that you can embed on your own personal website, can I be considered having insider info too?

Hahaha this. You also find it funny how its not on Sony's website? This site that was founded with the count down is all lies...

Yea i will admit i do feel kind of dumb for posting it now, i wasn't trying to start a long discussion, i just figured it had some useful info but apparently not.
