That's the new Fanatec CSW with F1 rim attached. My question is, why are they not using the T500rs with their F1 rim.

The next few photos shows some young lady buried in a wall using what I assume is the T500RS... Just puzzled as to why they would bring the F1 wheel set up and the official GT wheel

**Edit** on closer inspection the other round wheel isnt the T500RS... looks a nice wheel though

Possibly because Fanatec is a German company and GamesCom is held in Germany. Maybe a deal was worked out that the Fanatec products get used instead.

Has anyone else noticed that when you buy a Ferrari California in the color F2008_Rosso you don't get the color chip? Seems a bit weird, like a glitch or a test color.

dont know if its a repost but theres a interview with kazonuri done by the british car classified site piston heads, theres some stuff i never heard him say on there, mind you he probably has as i dont follow kazonuri much.

1. But of course he'd list the GT-R first, out of any car in his garage...

2. If he likes the supra as much as a GT-r or an Evo, why not make it premium?!

That's a different article/different section of the other article.

Looks like I mistaked the last five numbers in the link for being the same ones in the previous link.

Does GT now cater to professional race car drivers rather to than gamers?

I'm glad new tracks are on the way, but I feel some of these new features are made just for professional racers instead of gamers. As Jordan wrote: "most players will obviously never have a chance to record their own laps..." This data logger feature's been in the works for 2 whole years....my God. Precious time.

Still waiting for features we've been requesting since 2000: Livery editor (no more silly paint chips), /number plates, team building, etc. Still waiting for GT to be the ultimate car enthusiast's game and not just the game that professional drivers use to practice in between races.

Anyone have similar feelings?

I agree. How many GT players have, or will plan to buy, a Toyota GT-86, then are going to be willing to take it to one of the tracks in GT5 (and the tracks have to be in the right configuration too, btw) just to see their lap recreated in a game? Very, very few. Even if I could do this, it wouldn't be worth the effort. The novelty would wear off after seeing it once or twice.

The "celebrity laps" thing might be cool, but it's nothing but an empty promise until it's in a GT game.

It's mainly an advertising venture for the Toyota brand, just like the academy is a marteting tool for Nissans - barring the handful of people who become professional race drivers out of it.
I don't see much that's interesting for gamers in either really.

I'm getting tired of PDs attitude. They act as if they are a blessing to the gaming industry but all their promises and innovative ideas never seem to reach the point where it gets truly interesting. We want to see results, be it for GT6 but for now can we just have some DLC? GT Academy is getting on my nerves (mainly because my country has been left out in recent years) and all this visionary stuff is ok but let's not forget the thing that brought all this to life, Gran Turismo! It's the only thing that matters to 99,9% of the players. The remaning 0,01% either won GT Academy or own a Toyota GT-86 that they might bring to an open track day somewhere in the world where they were lucky enough that PD made a visit to record data for the local circuit. All the news we get is so irrelevant and the irony of it is that it's all about publicity for Gran Turismo.

This is what I'm a little afraid of.

GT lately seems to be more focused on making people professional race car drivers instead of being a fun racing game. It might be part of the reason why GT5 turned out to be a scatter-brained mess. I just hope I'm wrong though.

To me, GT6 will determine the true nature of the GT series. Hopefully, Kaz and PD have taken note of all the criticism towards GT5 and are still interested in making a fun and enjoyable racing game.

No, I think your fear may be right. And I am glad that you replied to my original post.

Just looking through this site's news page gives you a great idea of where GT is at:

1. Nissan GT Academy

2. Nissan GT Academy drivers

3. Lucas Ordoñez

4. Lucas Ordoñez

5. Nissan GT Academy

6. Kaz racing

7. Kaz wins class

8. 500-600pp boring seasonal.

9. DLC soon! Not.

10. Buy GT XL!!

I feel like we're a test subject. Kaz is so distracted, it appears. Is he ever back in the studio? Is GT slowly...dying? Sales say otherwise (then again, GT5 is the worst selling full-numbered title, but the tone on many forums says yes.)

I'm sorry but GT sales are as strong as always. Maybe you don't know how the totals were reached in the previous titles. Many many year of sales.

GT4 is still selling today so figure. With the console bundled packs and the cheaper updated versions with all the DLCs it will still growing for some more years and will have no problem to reach the 10M barrier that is the norm in a GT title. Plus the still amazing GT5 Prologue sales and the fabulous DLC sales!

My mommy :) used to think I wasn't doing my homework, because she never saw me doing it. :dunce: Seriously, you expect to know when the head/boss/head honcho of PD is in the building?

Read til the end of the post. And no, GT5 is not the worst selling GT.

ethomaz (4 days ago)
@SunofKratos it's flat... it's selling near 20k per week the whole year... the lowest week was in July with 13k... so no reason but I expect a good jump with GT Academy Edition this month.

The ethomaz guy has been keeping track of the numbers since the start. He's said somewhere else that it's selling better than GT4 a few months back. Considering how consistent its selling, it wouldn't be crazy to think that it still is selling better than GT4 at this point in time.

Subaru BRZ DLC?

Perhaps the event 00 thing, is relating to the event for Academy Edition users starting in January, or whenever it is that it starts
