9 more cars we don't have and won't have until they are 2 years irrelevant, err old.

So you're saying that 80% of all the cars in both games are irrelevant?
I don't understand what "relevance" has to do with anything in this context, especially when it's just a byword for "cool" in this case, and we all know what that really means.

I like one bit in particular from that untasteful post...

Keeping in mind the engine plant is in Mexico, and the car itself is built here in Canadaland. Mexico and Canada, the well known 51st and 52nd states. Perhaps when they said "through and through" they meant "below and above"? In any case... 8.2% about sums it up

That's our American Manufacturers for ya.... Produced in Mexico, Built in Canada, Sold to the US... Not only Chevy, but I believe Dodge does it with the Challenger as well...

I remember the Simpsons making fun of American cars.

"Designed in Europe, assembled in Mexico, with parts made in Canada."

because they have to pay for Scion FR-S and they surely envy us getting this car for free. We can boost up our morale.

1 of the 10 cars in the DLC is always free. The Scion could be free for Forza owners.

I don' understand your post to be honest.

I said it ironically. At least there is one thing (in terms of cars DLC) where we can feel superior to Forza's owners. It is free of charge Scion FR-S:) I didn't know that 1 of 10 cars of every Forza DLC is given for free. If it is true, at least they have an opportunity to pay for nine new cars every month :)

I should've said "current". I haven't seen too many commercials lately for the 1988 IROC-Z or Dodge Shadow during these 2012 Olympics.

And yet a lot of the cars in FM4's DLC are far from current.

Yeah, some are future. I didn't look through the entire list of these latest 9, I saw most of them, got to the 2013 model and made my post. I'm thinking the only reason why the Lincoln is in there is because it's being used or featured in movies lately. Making it "relevant". If T10 offered a 1976 Ford LTD Station Wagon, with wood panels I would REALLY have to question why they would be doing that. You know, because that car is so incredible irrelevant to any faction of car culture.

Perhaps current isn't really what I was aiming for, relevant is a better word.

If only for the fact they're based on one of the most sound platforms Ford have ever produced. And one of the highest selling too, I believe. Albeit, a mid-70s woody wagon wouldn't be my choice either...

I think it would be hilarious.

It would bring back fond childhood memories! Then there was my first car, a '76 Cougar XR7 with snow tires and a rod knock :P

Why does relevancy even matter when it comes to what gets added through DLC and what doesn't get added?

I wouldn't even attempt to argue with him. Though it's not GT5 DLC, it's another solid DLC. Would hope that maybe we'll see a car or two from that list in a future GT5 DLC.

And what makes it "solid DLC"? The cars are all relevant and moving the game forward..

Where is the ZL1 Camaro in GT5? We'll get that 2012 model car in GT6 in 2014 (hopefully 2013). Boss Mustang? New drop top Vette Grand Sport we see blowing out black & white candles? I'm sure you'd like that Vette now and not when it becomes a museum piece?

Has the DLC we've gotten really advanced the game forward or just kinda kept it treading water? We are all floating around waiting for the nest great GT5 DLC. Which probably won't amount to a hill of beans, based on DLC this far.

There's no point in new content if PD can't put that content into good use. As I've said before, DLC only refreshes the game for about a week, then everything will feel pretty much the same as before.

I'd say it's too late for PD to add new features for the DLC to be used.

Change 1976 to 1966 and they already did that months ago.

We also have the Audi R10, TWO Peugeot 908s, not to mention a Ferrari P4 and Ford Mark IV. And Jaguar XJR9.

Forza has the R8, R10, R15, R15++, R18 and also two 908s. Their Le Mans line up is clearly better, certainly for the modern era anyway.

Still not sure why this discussion is in this thread though.

We also have two Pescarolo C60s, two Audi R8 Race Cars, the Chapperal 2D, and of coarse all those PD-crated LM cars.

Why are you continuing? I just showed you that they have a better list of Audi LMPS but then you repeat to me that GT5 has R8 race cars?
