Dodge got out of NASCAR because their heart wasn't in it. Toyota got out of Formula One because their heart wasn't in it. If it were, they would've spent the money in better ways to be more competitive.
Who has a superior record at LeMans and ALMS in general, Corvette or Viper? Ford races Mustangs and the GT. Chevy races the Corvette and Camaro. Dodge just has the Viper in road racing. YOU may hold the Viper in very high esteem. I don't.
I (ME PERSONALLY, you know, MY opinion) think less of it (Viper) because of its manufacturer's decisions that affect my favorite form of racing. Their lack of "corporate fortitude" (speaking with their money) has caused one less manufacturer. Which is never good for racing. Dodges return to NASCAR has always been iffy. And that is because they were not willing to spend the money to be at the elite level.
I highly doubt there are that many Ferrari owners who are clueless to its racing heritage.
It still doesn't make the fact that people DO CARE about the Viper any less true. The problem here is you are somehow using their exit out of NASCAR as sort of backing for people not caring about the Viper (which last I checked, isn't at all associated with NASCAR and is now an SRT product instead of Dodge) when it is far from it. It might be your opinion, but its not fact. I still fail to see how NASCAR improves Road cars when they share absolutely nothing with their road car counterparts other then badges.
Now if we're done with this belly-aching about having one less American make in NASCAR, can we get back to actually discussing GT5 News?
