Because adding anything else alongside the C7 would take the shine and focus off it. It'll be the C7 on it's own I'm pretty sure.

I agree.with this.

PD working with Chevy to promote the new c7 so they will want to release it on its own.

Although with the purported release date for the C7 before the maintenance it's entirely possible the C7 could be added on it's own then something else two days later. I think it's more likely the maintenance is for a feature update/patch though and not DLC.

I agree, the maintenance is after the unveiling event. It would be counter productive for PD to not have a simultaneous unveiling of the C7, as they did with the Subby in GT5p.

So would that mean the possibility of the c7 already in from the last update?

Yep... And it does suck.

But it looks like PD will have the rights to the corvette

Why don't they just share the rights FFS. I buy GT cos I prefer PlayStation to Xbox, not because GT has xxxxx car in it that Forza doesn't. Exclusive rights just make everyone lose out :-/

Forza also have the Viper rights.

No gentleman, thats not how it works. Turn 10 have licensed the SRT Viper First and likewise, PD has licensed the Corvette C7 First. All this means is that either game has their respective car first, it does not mean that both games "exclusively" have them to themselves.

CorvetteConquer
SRT Viper VS C6 ZR1 races online* fixed.

Only because a 450 bph C7 is not ready to fight the Viper yet :)

But I am sure Chevy has a nastier version already in the works.

Never was ready to do that Mister David

Lets be honest though, who really gives a sideways frack about Viper? Dodge has left NASCAR. The brand is DEAD to American racing. The big question is, who will have rights to Morris and will pianos drop from the sky as you tootle your way around the track?

Please tell me you are being sarcastic right now.

What does Dodge have going for it in American racing? The Ram and the Dart. Dodge is pulling out of racing instead of pushing forward. They left NASCAR because of a lack of corporate fortitude. In other words, Dodge sucks.

But he was talking about the roadgoing Viper, what has their involvement (or lack of) in racing got to do with people wanting the road car?

Unlike you I don't see a direct correlation between a racing program of a certain brand and wanting their production cars in a videogame or not.

You seriously are coming off as this NASCAR die-hard whos completely ignorant of anything else. Dude, NASCAR is not the end all be all that it used to be. It took them this long to relize having bricks parade around with nothing to differciate but Decals doesn't sell anything. There was no "Lack of corporate fortitude, it was simply no point in continuing when you only have two cars compared to every other make's dozens of cars. Money would be better spent on their SRT Viper program in the ALMS (which unlike Nascar, will actually appear to younger audience).

You really want to continue this seemingly very missinformed argument, them jsut PM me because thsi thread goes off-topic enough as it is.

Racing improves road cars.

Compare Chevy's involvement in racing to Dodge's. You guys are smart enough to figure this stuff out.

Try telling that to Pagani and Koeniggsegg then, or to Buick, Mercury and Lincoln

The point is, there are alot of people that care about the Viper then you want to believe, otherwise people wouldn't have made such a big deal about it. Also in-case you haven't noticed:

That might be true, it might not be, doesn't change the fact people want the road car. Might be shocking to believe but for most people their desire to buy a performance car doesn't depend on it's racing heritage, or specifically how they race in NASCAR. There are a lot of companies that wouldn't sell any if they did.

Besides do you really think NASCAR experience builds a better road car? Vipers have been running in GT racing for well over a decade.

Dodge got out of NASCAR because their heart wasn't in it. Toyota got out of Formula One because their heart wasn't in it. If it were, they would've spent the money in better ways to be more competitive.

Who has a superior record at LeMans and ALMS in general, Corvette or Viper? Ford races Mustangs and the GT. Chevy races the Corvette and Camaro. Dodge just has the Viper in road racing. YOU may hold the Viper in very high esteem. I don't.

I (ME PERSONALLY, you know, MY opinion) think less of it (Viper) because of its manufacturer's decisions that affect my favorite form of racing. Their lack of "corporate fortitude" (speaking with their money) has caused one less manufacturer. Which is never good for racing. Dodges return to NASCAR has always been iffy. And that is because they were not willing to spend the money to be at the elite level.

I highly doubt there are that many Ferrari owners who are clueless to its racing heritage.
