Why am I not surprised ?

It should in no way be taken that he was referring to a release date. I did say to him "The one thing I won't ask you about is a release date."

However, I later let Mr. Tackie in on what I thought - though the question I asked wasn't about the release date. The answer he gave, or rather the way he gave it, seemed to confirm what I thought though, since I clearly told him this question was entirely off-the-record, I can neither tell you what the answer was nor what the question was. Or, for that matter, what I think

Suffice to say that if it's sooner than I think, they'd best have the marketing campaign of ever lined up.

Time is psychological. All you have to do is keep your mind occupied in all matters not related to Gran Turismo 5. Tend to your kids, work hard, study well at school, do your homework, visit your friends and check up on GT5 every so often. That'll make "soon" even "sooner"!

So much easier said than done, though

That's one of the features they were planning to implement, but apparently they had a 12% miscarriage rate that they couldn't dial out.

(If that's not offensive to anyone who knows any man who ever miscarried, or programmed a PlayStation format driving game)


sems - I can't say. I've posted all the answers to all the other questions I asked him, but this was off the record. My opinion that he confirmed my thoughts is also just that; an opinion. However, what I think about the release date has also been mentioned by a few other people here quite recently. So it's on here somewhere (though I posted it in the Mods forum in January).

Heh! Reminds me of the old zen story where the master tells the monk he will become enlightened as soon as he stops thinking about his elbow.

The more I try not to think about GT5 the more I find myself unable to think of anything else

A little philosophy can change a perspective for good! But personally, for me, I am trying to back off GT5 somewhat. I still come here daily, but I am focusing on trying to not focus too much on the game. It'll only appear much slower.

And remember, a train (GT5) will approach you must faster when your eyes are closed.

I'm sorry to sound like a total ass, but these images don't impress me at all. Yes, the graphics look stunning and there is tons of detail. But there is nothing that tells me GT5 will have anything more included than already shown. It's still the same SLS car, no other cars. As it's SSR5, we still don't know if we will have a day-night cycle in the game. It's time PD show what they have been working on the last 6 months...

It looks like 19:35 on this picture aswell, so i guess the clock is still not working.

Looks like compression or artifacting of lens flare from the light (something GT5 over does IMO). Notice it bleeds over the steering wheel aswell.

I assume you mean the grid overlay I can see.
