I just picked up Prologue this week, and the spectators and trees do not look bad at all compared to the time trial, I guess all the low res textures in the time trial seemed to draw attention to them.

Honestly the Time Trial is severly cut down, even compared to GT5:P!
GT5:P has variations in tyre noise, way higher res textures for roads and grass etc, especially the sand pits

It should be due to the TT overall file size. Come on, 300MB??? It's just too light that's why they included so few textures and quality images. Maybe it's the same with the demos we've seen, they're saving the good textures and trees and spectators for the big BD pack! ;)

Wow. Thats some pretty extreme detail they are putting into this game (and people wonder why its taking so long to make this game with a staff of less than 150 people). I mean they even render the eye movements. I would have never even thought about seeing that in the game. IF this game doesn't get insanely high scores across the world (just on graphics/presentation alone), then there are some seriously messed up reviewers out there.

150 is a huge team for game development. (PD is at about 140, so it's not small)

I guess thats correct, but I was basing this on comparison to another specific driving game developer (that I will not name) who had assistance from a team of 400 to help develope a racing game in 2 years and was built from its already exsisting older brother's code and still had a lot of things that needed polish and completion.

Thats all I saying.

This isn't the official PS forum, you're allowed to say Forza

It's alright, this isn't NeoGAF...you won't get banned for mentioning the other team or game :sly:

I don't think the numbers affect things like polishing or completion, it's a case of what you gain in numbers, you generally lose in consistency; something which judging on 5P, PD haven't lost.

Have you, or anyone else, got a link as to how many outside people worked on FM3 with T10? I wasn't aware it was anything like 400.

Actually bish did it right, one GT5vsFortza3 thread and then each game getting their own threads.

Yeah much better now, although I wasn't too pleased when the GT5 thread was axed and everytime a bit a news came a new thread was made, which in no time at all got lost in ocean of all the new threads, they seem to stick to one thread again.

I give up!IT'S CRAZY GAME!!!

Cockpit view playing very big role in GT5.And that's what i like very much, cause i never get a chance to drive all those cars! (even a single one) :(

Back to GT3,4 i never paid extreme attention to a normal (japan) cars.Maybe only "cool" tuned cars. But now with such detailed and beautiful cockpit EVERY CAR IS SACRIFICE!!!

Omg I hate new pedal shifting animations. So unreal.

Where have you ever seen somebody to shift with removing hands off the wheel.

I rather see no shifting animations than this. And thumbs are not even holding the wheel.

Fixed.

The animation depends on what kind of the paddles are. If they don't revolve with the steering wheel of course you are going to have to remove your hands to shift.

Also I keep my thumbs the same way when I'm driving. It's just preference.

@ Dravonic

Italia have non moving paddle shift (which is great) and in ferrari 430 it's moving with wheel.

I hate paddle shift option :P But i always stick to real sollution. So if italia has paddle shift option and use it ingame so i too use it on my g25.

Immersion is always key factor to me.

Totaly agrea. But P-D was arround 110 peoples 1 year and half ago, and dont forget than they must make GTpsp in same time.

So this GT5 starting with a new 3D engine game model with WRC, Nascar, and lot of differents things, with all this détail out directly from hell of the brains of this P-D team, with GTpsp developement, in 5 years it's just awesome for me.

We can wait 2 or 3 years for a game and play 5 months (for hard core player) and be borring quickly, but with GT5 for hard core and fan player it will be 2 years or more for see and discover all things inside game, try to finish all licenses... and make yourself a good place in online race.

:)

do you think PD will insert the 2009 Le Mans winner Peugeot? I wonder since it has a big XBOX360 sticker on it:)

You call that a big sticker ?

These are big stickers ! :)

And that one (the Pescarolo 908) will definitely be in the game.
