I cant say Which games will come out in This Fall. must look forward to internet.. i know New WRC game Criterion NFS F1 2010..These games are not comparable with GT5
If you don't know then why did you say this with such confidence?

If we dont see Release date in E3 SOONY conference You can expect GT5 will come out in 2011..
Theres lots of game that coming out in Fall 2010..I dont think Sony Will throw away this vapourware in Fall. They will push back to Q1 2011.
It hurts but its real
You even described it as real.

I am not sure why you have such an overly negative attitude, but it is causing you to make claims and accusations that are based on nothing more than your own personal angst.

And I am not sure why it would be throwing it away in the fall, when that is when many of the best selling titles come out. Do you think Microsoft is throwing away Halo and Gears of War titles by releasing them in the fall? Yes there will be great games coming out this fall, but I am currently unaware of any other huge Sony in-house AAA titles due this fall, and definitely not anything of Gran Turismo's size and popularity.

Just to give you a rundown:

Fall 2009:
  • Gran Turismo PSP
  • Forza Motorsport 3
  • Uncharted 2
  • Wii Fit Plus
  • New Super Mario Bros Wii
  • Halo 3 ODST
  • God of War Collection
  • LittleBigPlanet PSP
  • Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Republic Heroes
  • Brutal Legend
  • Fallout 3: GOTY
  • Smackdown vs Raw
  • City Bus Simulator 2010
  • DJ Hero
  • Guitar Hero 5
  • Dirt 2
  • LittleBigPlanet: GOTY
  • The Beatles: Rock Band
  • Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
  • NFS: Shift
  • Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
  • We Cheer
  • Dragon Age: Origins
  • Band Hero
  • Ghostbusters: The Video Game
  • Lego Rock Band
  • Scene It! Twilight
  • Buzz Quiz World
  • Lego Indiana Jones 2
  • Left 4 Dead 2
  • Assassin's Creed 2
  • Avatar: The Game

And those are, mostly, just the games that caught my attention. People wonder why I am always broke before Christmas. There were a lot more. And you can see I put the first-party titles at the top. Only a few. A fall release is not a throw away.

To me Postphony must rush their game after 5.5 years...I wanna see Rushed GT.It would be cool than nothing.Rush them all PD! I know You need 2 or 3 years to complete game but at least i wanna touch that Bluray once time before i die.

 Postphony. Very creative.

Yeah, you and analog do have a point, after the millionth post the game still not out there, we're still discussing the very same subjects every day. How many months have passed since the last screenshots?

Not to mention a carlist or track list, I agree that Postphony can't reveal all the game months before the release, however, leaving the fans utterly in the dark isn't a smart decision. 👎

I'm still believing in november, and I presume they're using this extra time to include some more new ices on the cake, like a couple of classic cars. (E30 M3 and 'Stang '67 Fastback, for God sake ).

EDIT: That's the whole problem, we presume, speculate and guess, nothing is concrete.

If anyone knows anything about the US fiscal year it starts 01oct, and ends 30sep. So q1 2011 is 01oct. GT5 will be here before the year 2011. But the game is from Japan.

Sorry for being pedantic, but I was the first coining that phrase ( without an h though ) if you look at the post before that one, credit where credit's due.
Although I don't have copyrights, so everyone feel free to use it.

Now Kaz says Too early March release..Who is talking to us? Pd hired Fake similar KAzunori?Who using these words.?Which person we must believe? If you will say LIE dont do that..Kazu says Game is done 90 percent..Everybody run to buy PS3s.Pd or Sony deceive consumers Fans? Last year We were talking about same things now same things again..Everybody must aware this complex situation..

% in game development are not linear. In fact, they carry no real meaning whatsoever to anyone but the people in charge.

For example : i could say i have completed 99% of the progress of my new time machine. Unfortunately, the last 1% is everything except whats in my head so it may be many many years away.

oh i see ok we can wait forever now/
I knew that polishing word All stuff is completed now we put cherry
I think KAz has problem with DATE or he wasting his time useless things..After 6 years he can say too early..I stopped Kazunori reinforcements are inbound..

:) Stick to actual proven rock solid facts and you'll soon realise, when it comes to GT5, we know very very very very little.

2009 games?
Yes, I was pointing out, using historical data, that fall is not a release time for throwing away titles, but is when large titles are released by all three console makers, as well as many third-party developers.

AKA, the notion that Sony would be throwing away GT5 by releasing it in the fall is baseless and false, and is not any form of evidence that we won't see it until 2011.

Thanks for advice Turbo now we have to wait for Fail Soony E3 2010 Hype on the top at that time.I believe it gonna down after that event.Toomuch attention to detail makes more hype..like this opportunity Game never release.

What's upsetting me most is that all other driving/racing games expected to be launch are pointing out towards the fall - WRC game, F1 2010, TDU2, New Eutechnyx games.

As for GT5 I've already gave up in putting any strong hopes on when will it comes. I would just like to have some new games (car games) to play in the meanwhile, and not all at the same time...

haha if SOONY doesn't give a release date at E3,
SOONY has become a complete joke...
Actually it's now already a big joke when it comes to GT5...
but I give them a last chance to be serious.

I tell you, both Sony and PD are very concerned after this post of you.

I talked with both Kaz Hirai and Kazunori Yamauchi on the phone on conference call this very minute, and they have gave me strong assurances they will do whatever they can in order to not become joke for you.

You are so important.

Sony and PD are really there where they are because before today they didn't know nothing about anything.

They told me to thank you for changing their perspective of reality, market, economy, strategy, investments, fundings, license deals, priorities, strategic development and overall company politics - forever.

You are just too kind.

What's more exciting than an E3 release date is visually seeing how much 9 months of hard work has benefited GT5.

If you look back at TGS 2009, the damage model was pretty basic, and although I expect standard models to be quite "basic" (scratches, scuffs, tiny deformations), I am curious to see what else they've added to the model. And then we have the notion of weather, which was heavily alluded to in the IGN video interview at TGS 2009.

To conclude: 9 months is a lot of time since September 2009 and it only equals :)

+1

It´s like a dry dessert. No hope for water (GT5)

Well, like I said, we're getting GT6 instead of GT5. Lots of content and polished details, just like GT4 in a bigger scale in every aspect of the game, when compared to GT3.

Or at least GT5 spec II from the start, although we will probably never know which aspects have indeed been polished, improved or added.

I wouldn't quite say GT6, as I do believe GT6 will improve upon this notion of premium and standard models. Perhaps there will be less of a gap between the damage of a race car and a production car in GT6, but again, just speculation.

And yes, the difference between GT4 and GT5 should be like the gap between GT3 and GT4. GT3's production time was barely over a year, while GT4 was over 3 years. No surprises why GT3 was so weak, the ugly duckling of the series.

I love you amar! Glad you are posting again, thank you for giving us a second chance.

That's purely your opinion, in my opinion the GT games have gotten better every time a new one comes out. I mean sure GT3 had far less cars than GT2 but it was still great fun and it didn't feel as if you were missing out by having less cars.

I'm not the only one who shares this opinion. I can assure you of that.:scared:

For me, it didn't have to do with the number of cars. It was how the game was presented. GT Mode did not flow at all. It was far too easy and just very disappointing. I actually bought GT3 a second time to give it a second chance. I ended up trading it in....again :(

But that's ok. I don't expect every game to be perfect; it does have to be. But I still regard it as the weakest link.

Over the last 24 hours, I've driven a few races in all of the previous GT releases. GT3 is the best of them, followed by GT1, GT4, GT5P and, last of all, GT2.

i prefer gt3 than gt4..It has fun rally events and smooth camera angles.GT3 best seller in Gt series even if it has 160 cars
I still miss Smokey moutanin and Complex String

Hey, I cannot sway ones opinion. But if you sincerely believe GT3 is the best, imagine if it had gotten more production time. Imagine if it had gotten 2 years..or even 3 like GT4!

Recently, though, I've been playing Prologue, GT4, GT2 and GT1. Surprisingly (well, maybe not), the older titles are still very fun! And that Stingray Vette is a beast in the old games. Go, America, go!

Maybe I like GT3 so much because it was the first one I owned. I went back and played GT and GT2 afterwards so they would have lost the revolutionary feel to them. But yeah the GT mode was pretty easy to scale your way up on. Especially with the ridiculously easy Speedway endurance race. That one race alone made the GT mode very easy if you just wanted to destroy any competition with an F1 car. But as for the rest of the game, I thought it was brilliant.

We don't have to think of GT5 like the "new" GT3, and GT6 like the "new" GT4.

GT3 was released 5-8 months after the released of the PS2.
3 years after the release of the PS3, GT5 is not even out.
It's not only a question of development issues, marketing, I'm sure they've learned the lesson.

Well that is your opinion. You clearly stated it as fact though. Just thought I would piont that out.

The only thing(s) I would salvage from GT3 are a few tracks.

And I almost cannot believe it will be 9 years since a full numbered GT title has made a debut on a new Sony console. Should be quite a step up from GT3's debut on PS2. Will be a defining moment for the PS3, the GT name, and myself, as a fan.
