I'll take your opinion seriously after you drive one. Til then, lol.
Famine-the-argue-monkey
I drove a 1984 911 Carrera 3.2 around a race track. It was all-ends-up terrible.

C'mmon you dont really expect anyone to respect your opinion of Porsche based on one driving experience in a 1984 911?

If you read anything in any motor-press you would know Porsche are widely acknowledged as the pinnacle of driving/handling finesse (since the late 90's at least)

Sheeesh Famine, you're just throwing ammunition at the crowd now..

Sorry, but the 1984 911 Carrera was a CAR. From an era when Porsche owners had to be at least moderately skilled to be able to drive them. When amazing stories about back-end-control were exchanged between Porsche owners.

Now ... Even my great-aunt can drive a XXIst century Porsche.

I'm sorry, I don't recall giving anyone my opinion of Porsche. I gave my opinion of one Porsche. The one I drove.

Lucky the crowd are apparently smashing it with hammers to see the shiny-shiny.

For me this is cockpit view, expected on all models:

And this is interior view only on premium models:

I have to guess, yes no confirmation at all, the only difference will be in the replay where you will be able to chose "cockpit view" for almost all cars (some prototypes might not have this like in GT5p) and "interior view" only on premium models.

Edit: the Pick on Famine day seems to be growing into a pick on Famine week. Well he picks back anyway.
Hope it does not lead to an Amar rumor, Famine left, being tired to be the "pick on this person" of the year ...

IMO thats a plane shape with a texture and a normal map.

I dont think they modeled that, it kill the processor in PS3, PC, any system.

Already the polygons of cars are too much.

have a look at the engine, it's 3D for sure....

No-one's picking on me as far as I can tell. Besides which, you don't last long on my "other site" without an extremely thick skin - and I've been there six years (and here seven).

In any case, my skypaths are full of birds and liontamers, with a union of two score days since the noon of assistance...

Hey - why the purple?

It's a tradition. Or an old charter. Or something.

Yeah Cool, but that's already known dude. ;)

You just need to use the rear view on a Ford GT or F430 in Prologue and you can see reflections and shadows on the engines, they're fully modelled.

These "premium" thing, is just to point which cars have a fully detailed body structure modelled, I mean trunks, engine bays ( under the hood, for example ) and every part which would be visible if a bad collision have happened to the car.

So ******* nice!!!

Really nice to see that!!!!

Besides thats pics, the FT86 IMO, its a plane shape.

Its weird, i suposse that car must be a premiun model, no??

Any pre-993 type 911 are widely regarded by those who know ( not me I must admit ) as the best sportscars when stationary;), only after the 993 version was introduced they actually became "drivable" for mere mortals when the whole pendulum effect was reduced.

And I really hope those cockpit/interior views will indeed be on all cars and the "interior" modelling meaning chassis/engine, etc. exposure makes perfect sense although I am still not fully certain ( but that might be me being sceptical as always...).

IMO it isn't flat, watch the video. It's a concept car though

I don't agree - the 370z in the Time Trial had a nice cockpit, and you could access driver view replay in the press version, and it isn't a premium model... Plus you can zoom in just fine in the replays, and see all the interior details

You may have drawn that inference, but it is entirely your own. The whole point of the discussion was that posting "Release the damn game" all over a news story about Lucas, Jordan and Alex racing at Silverstone fundamentally misunderstood the relationship between GT Academy and GT5's schedule - which is none.
Wait, so is that why I didn't get a response when I complained about Shell's diesel fuel on Allan McNish's site? I totally thought that since they sponsor him in the ALMS that they would be watching his site for comments regarding their fuel products. I have wasted so much time there. :guilty:

We fear change.

After see that(i dont saw before) i must say that peopple (PD) are insane.

Im a 3D modeler and its for sure is an after and before GT5 in 3D model terms.

Man i envy!!!!

Sorry my english.

Seeing that engine bay in the FT-86 vid and those cars in other vids displaying damage makes me wonder if ( and if indeed it's only available to "premium" models ) any engine upgrades ( from the tuning shop ) may be visible when fitted ( only those parts which are visible, obviously ), it may be too much to ask though and probably irrelevant compared to interior view on all models but still a cool touch.:)

And yet I was the fastest on the Silverstone autocross in the GT-R. Amazing for someone so bad at driving.

Sorry that, having experienced it, I don't like a car you do.

Yup, amazing

Autocross? Is that in a carpark driving round cones?

How do you know this is not a premium model, I seem to have difficulty finding the confirmed Premium (or not) Models list.
My conclusion is that your argument above makes it probable that the 370Z will be premium.

As it is my current interpretation it might be completely wrong, it is clear that GT5 will be very convincing for Premium models, but what this really means is very unclear to me.

dont start again premium models argue.!

Agree, it seems only interpretations, guessing.
Which car is premium?
What does premium mean?
What is an interior view according to Sony?

The only point I was trying to make:
1) What we have in GT5p seems to be none premium.
2) What we see in the GT5 demos and is not in GT5p might be limited to premium models, since there will be extra modeling work needed to show this in GT5.

Yup, amazing

It was the lessons I didn't take from you on how to corner that did it.

Yes.

I didn't like the 911 I drove. It was a terrible car. No need to get all precious about it because someone doesn't like your car. Stop trolling.

Jeezuz you're a touchy fellow.

Yes that's me doing it properly. No abs, tcs, 4wd yada yada yada. Just me and physics.

Jeezuz you're a touchy fellow.

Who's the one implying someone else can't drive just because that person doesn't like a car they own?

Yes that's me doing it properly. No abs, tcs, 4wd yada yada yada. Just me and physics.

Which, funnily, was what I was doing in the '84 I drove (unless that had ABS, TCS and 4WD added - but obviously I'm so inept that I wouldn't have noticed).

I notice yours is LHD (and first UK registered 4 years after manufacture date) so presumably an import? The one I drove was a Porsche RHD conversion and this in no way helped the car, as the driving position had the upper body aiming forwards and the lower body aiming 5 degrees to the left as the pedals were wonky.

It was a terrible car. That's not the same thing as saying all of them are terrible cars. That's not the same thing as a review of the entire Porsche range. That's saying that the 911 I drove was a terrible car. Disagree with that all you like - the worst that can happen is that you'll be wrong. Don't, however, start making things up in an ill-conceived attempt to defend something not being questioned, or we'll have a problem.

To be fair Famine, it was you who said the bad driving thing, not me

I can completely believe the car you drove was terrible. It may well have had 20 year old suspension still on it. But the way you said it sort of dissed the whole marque, obviously you didn't mean that.

You also missed the point of the smiley after the efa which was meant as a jokey type of post. But then again I suck at interpreting texts/ posts and always grab the wrong end of the stick

No offense intended or taken
