How is that possbile again that EU get the delay??

How is it possible that its a "delay" when Europe (or US for that matter) never had a finalized release until now? I also find it funny that all these complaints weren't made when GT5P came to Japan first and the US was dead last so what makes this so different?

Nearly all games come same time now. This just show how ancient practises there are in PD.

I'm guessing you don't keep up with video game release dates like I do, I can name you 20 games that came out in different regions at different times, maybe even more. The practice isn't as "ancient" as you say it is.

I remember all big games released within a week in different continents; quess i do not pay much attention on release dates and only remeber the games i want :) . I hope EU gets free DLC as compensation as some Japanese developers do when some countries are delayed.

PD finish the game, they don't decide when the game released. It's Sony's decision as to when they want the game to be in store in certain region.

It was on PS-site, but no official notice has been left(i would not be proud either to say that largest market version is delayed again)

its not delayed AT ALL...there is only one official release date...and that is November 2 in America...no other region was given a release date, and therefore no other region has gotten a delay...

the only people who can complain that their region received a delay, are the people in Japan...because they were supposed to get the game in March...

compensation for what!?...there is no delay.

This is where I would put a big thing about how long it takes to translate the game's text and then stuff it onto a blu-ray, but I just remembered that Blu-rays are region-free, and it's PD's job to send out the information to translators so that each country's language is represented, so that, when they put it in their PS3, the correct language comes up.

However, the game STILL has to be shipped to the different regional Headquarters, and then out to the retailers. And usually, when a game goes "Gold" it means it's finished and shipped to retailers and it's 30-days away from it's initial launch. However, sometimes countries don't get their disks in time, or not enough or whatever. Really, it's up to the regional HQ that decides when the game's going to be released in a particular country.

On another note: If Sony's already getting the translations done, then pretty much, what they'd be doing know is putting the finishing touches on the game. It would mean, all the cars, tracks, features and what not are pretty much finished. (There maybe 1 or 2 cars that don't quiet make the launch, but they're text would probably already be on the list, anyway.) So, it would seem that they're working on the last few cars maybe...maybe a track...maybe fine tuning a feature, probably doing some graphical work...kinda like putting the finishing touches on a setup before a big party: Chips: check, Dip: Check, Beer: Umm....gotta pick some up...

And the point of different release dates is ...?
You want the long list of all possible reasons or what I personally think it might be in this case?

For those of you acting like it is some sort of personal offense that you might not get this game on the same day as the US, look at the Prologue release dates again. Did the US gets some sort of "compensation" for their "delay?"

Not every game has a worldwide release date. In fact, most don't come out on the same day in every region simply because new inventory doesn't get put in stores on the same day in every region. And if you really want to hear someone justifiably complain about late releases ask Australian members how they are enjoying Rock Band 2.

22 days?
Wow, seriously, that's no reason to complain, I will go on a media blackout for this time, so I won't get spoiled. And if you want to have the game earlier: Import.

Same here, will be hard to resist but I want to see even the intro for the first time on my tv.

Came across the GT/Kaz documentary today. Man, he has aged fast :dopey:

It explains why the majority of cars are Japanese. GT1 was meant for japan so most cars were japanese. Then GT2 more worldly cars were added. Since all the data they gathered for GT1 was later used in latter games, now we know why there are 100 skylines and imprezas.

I can't see this video (5 minutes interview) due to firewalls.
It will probably say nothing but if you want to check...

It is this video:

Edit>
He says one interesting thing and that is that they have monitored how online went with GT Prologue and all the thousands of questions that were asked (by the community). They looked for the questions that were NOT asked, and implemented thoses features. So basically, they were looking for something completely new and unexpected for the online mode.
