GT5 makes forza look like NFS. Cartoony graphics, weak replays, unrealistic physics/car movements, drawn on race tracks etc. FM3 is a good game, but GT is an AWESOME game.
The fact that each GT game has sold close or over 10 million copies shows it's lasting power and it's popularity. Can't wait to find out more about the customization and if there really is a track CREATOR.

Just watching some of the E3 replay and it occurred to me. Day to night transition, 24 hrs of Nurburgring. Would that make it the "Dark Green Hell"?

You guys, i am getting bored coming to GTP now...
All the speculations and hot topics have been beaten to death ... there is not a single thing that can surprise any of us anymore...
We have talked about everything from the past, present and even future...
... the only thing left is the Wait.
Do you feel the same? I wish someone come up with something from the left field for us to fight / discuss / yell / argue / rage / and divide among ourselves...
It's getting boring for the past few days... There is nothing new to talk about.
Help us kill this wait.
EDIT: Reading every threads for the past few days, i feel that i am chewing on the food that i have already eaten before

There's no place for talk of FM3 (which is an excellent game in its own right) within this thread which is supposed to focus on the latest news regarding GT5.
There are already several previously worthwhile threads on page 1 which have been cluttered up with FM3 vs GT5 comparisons.

We don't know how much we have in GT5.
Reverse variation of a circuit, isn't a different track. They don't take a track and build a flipped version of it next to it. They take the car, and face it the other way. Playing forza I never felt like I played on more than a handful of tracks.

"In the new GT5, you will be able to drive standard and premium cars upside down in cockpit mode"
ZeeeeWooowee, I was definitely not going to buy this game if it didn't have that feature. After nearly 6 years what a rip-off it would be.

I was watching the game before school today. Was pretty happy when those floppers got sent home. Watched Japan advance after class which made my gf happy as well.

I just ran across some information that I had completely forgotten about: Kaz/PD's first game was a kart-racer called "Motor Toon Grand Prix" That received a lot of praise because, from what it sounds like, he combined the mario-kart gameplay with more realistic physics and handling properties. So...go-karting might just make it in GT5. I sure it won't be Mario-karty, but it'll be pretty fun.

Just a week after GT5 exploded the internet with all the great and lame news, and you're bored already.
Keep in mind that there are two more conventions coming, a huge one in Tokyo, and they're going to want some surprise held back for them.
Sorry, but most likely, news is going to trickle until August and September. But by then, GT5 will almost be out.

There are rumors that GamesCom is going be the be unveil of a lot of features. (perhaps that's when weather, go-karts, the track editor and stunt arenas were supposed to be unveiled) and TGS will probably have some more features unveiled as well, but, remember, the game itself is pretty much finished if they've already sent text out to translators.
