I dont have time to look through the thread, but did anyone post this yet?:

Someone posted a link just a couple of post about yours. Watching it right now though. Did I hear them right about saying that Standard Cars would look like Prologue?

That's what they said. And with new textures, maybe they do.

I will have to say for such devout PC sim fans, they gave GT5 a pretty darn good review. They didn't wet themselves like they did over Forza, but then, they did review Forza 3 first, so maybe they were a little used to "console sim racing" by then. Maybe. ;)

Well, the LFA has the same body, just a different engine.

The ignorance amazes me. The LFA is it's own carbon fibre chassis. Half of the people don't even get this car -- this car is more advanced than most other exotics out there. LFA is a result of a 9-year focused development program and shares parts with absolutely nothing.

You realy need to do your homework on the LFA!

Have you thought that they may genuinely just like racing, regardless of the platforms.

The LFA has the same problem that plagues the GTR, imo. There isnt really a sense of passion when you see it. It feels too serious and technologically complicated.

1937 motor has not much to do with motors of this century :D

It should also be mentioned that VW didn't come up with the boxer engine in 1937, Mr. Porsche did as he's the one who invented the original Beetle at the request of the Fuhrer...with the boxer engine...which was later put in Porsches and the Ghia I believe has a small Porsche boxer engine in it. However, it's thanks to Volkswagen that the Boxer engine is in use today. So, it gave us a brand new style of engine.

ISR seems to think that GT5:P cars were standard yet they said also that cockpitviews are not necessarily implimented on those.

Well the Nissan GT-R prototype in GT5:P doesn't have cockpit view, and by looks it's on par with the rest of the cars in the game. But from the standard-cars video / screenshots it was already established that they clearly are not.

The GT-R proto doesn't have a cockpit because the real car doesn't have one.

NEW Sony 3D TV commercial possibly confirms Audi R8 V10 for Gran Turismo 5. (As shown sitting next to the GT5 "booth")

They also said that the physics are the same of GT5p!!maybe because the setting was arcade,I guess!and they give a positive opinion about 3D version, that maybe push me to buy a 3Dtv!!

They were also restricted to only 1 car for the demo (the Merc. SLS)

The R8 V10 sitting there doesn't prove much. Though seeing as how there are only small differences visually between it and the V8, I don't see why they wouldn't have it as another Premium car.

That review leaves a lot to be desired. I still don't see how Standards, in their current form, will ever look as good as Prologue. They just can't unless they have a complete overhaul of the 3D models. a doubling, or even tripling, of the texture resolution could make the textures a lot clearer, but using textures in place of real, actual depth will always give the game away.

...and why would the physics feel like Prologue?!

Can you not directly copy your posts from other threads? So what if nobody responded in the other thread. Move on.

I don't think those guys are all that reliable. I mean, they said that Forza and GT5 were pretty much the same. That's like saying an cucumber is pretty much a hamburger.

Forza isn't so different as it used to be. Their feature set is different, and GT is (as usual) head and shoulders above in terms of graphics, but the driving is more or less the same. I played Forza 2 (I think it was), and it was drastically different in feel and control.. I don't get that feeling on F3.

And they didn't say that Forza and GT were the same.. in fact, they implied that GT is well and above Forza overall (they mention Forza fans whining about GT being better, but not the other way 'round). And they did say that if you wanted the "full" experience of all the race sims, you'd have both (which I do).. which continues to imply that they don't view them as being identical.

And yes, a cucumber is like a hamburger, in much the same way that a raven is like a writing desk.

What do you mean with "Arcade"? The physics or the game mode?
Physics were adjustable to Standard and Professional, game mode was, of course, Arcade.
