I really hope that A Spec and B Spec are all within GT Mode. I don't really want to have two separate careers throughout my GT experience

I don't think (or hope) the B-spec is mendatory.

I've never used it in GT4.
If I play a driving game I want to be driving it :D

But I also don't think it will be a seperate mode, because you'll be able to use both A-spec and B-spec in 24H races.. I.m not 100% sure

B-Spec is a separate mode from A-Spec. This was revealed at Gamescom.

Well I actually used it quite a lot, to earn more credit, and to get them more quickly than racing the same set of races over and over again.

But see what I don't understand is, there is two seperate game modes, but somewhere also said you could be one of the drivers. How is it going to work? Am I going to have to play A Spec for the enjoyment of driving, but if I become a B Spec team director, the money isn't related to my A Spec account? So in a sense, using B Spec like in GT4 is going to be useless, and the money earned by my racing team will only be put towards team cars that I can't drive.

Sorry if this has been posted before- i just discovered it

Something is wrong with the cockpit

It does appear that something may be wrong at times but there's a few points where you do get to see the dashboard when the light hits it.

The interior lighting issue is the same in GT5P why have they not sorted it out? As soon as the sun isn't pouring into the dashboard you cant see a thing in a lot of the cars its weird. I can see my real cars dashboard fine on an overcast cloudy day so wtf

The Vette sounds horrible. The biggest complaint about GT5 are the Sounds, and is no better sounding then GT4..Unbelievable. Anyone who thinks that V8Vette sounds the least bit realistic has never been around cars. It's not Youtubes fault either lol.

This is caused by the HDR lighting engine. Just like you can only see a wall of white at the end of GT's tunnels. It's similar to the way a camera sees, ie. a very limited range of light compared to the eye.

I wish they'd drop the HDR effects, but it's what gives GT that punchy, glossy look. I don't know how the processing / rendering works exactly, but if half the screen is in black shadow or blown-out whites I'd guess that would be quite convenient for the graphics card.

Human eyes don't work much differently than cameras though.
Under strong lightning, it's often very hard to make out details under shadows.
Maybe the GT graphics engine needs diffuse light/radiosity. But that's probably something that will need PS4 power to be properly implemented with the currently required graphic detail and scene complexity (and 16, maybe more cars).

There are huge differences between a camera and an eye. One being that the eye can see light through a range of 20 stops, where cameras see about 5... which is the exact explanation for the discussed graphical issue in GT.

Nobody denies that, but my point is that in addition to a HDR effects probably more modeled around the dynamic range of video cameras rather than human eyes, the problem with interior lightning is that there aren't soft shadows and diffuse lightning.

Outside of the quirk lighting behaviour, the panel on that car is kind of "wonky" (the inclination of the panel goes down and away from you, creating a "cover" over the gauges?)

That's how it should be in that car.

I wasn't implying that the panel was modelled wrong, but the simple fact that the panel itself does not help the lighting engine.

On the other picture it shows that depending on the lighting direction (from the side or the back of the car) it does give a better view of the details inside the cockpit (still, given how it was designed, only the bottom half of the gauges are illuminated), something that is lost in the darkness when the lighting is coming towards the driver.

That's why I said outside of the system quirkness (what others were discussing on a technical level), the panel itself is "wonky" (not the best choice of words I reckon >_>).

Interior lightning would be a much bigger problem. :)

New build damage: deformation+scratches:tup:

Where is that from and that is the best damage we have seen the lambo looked wrecked at the front were all the paint had gone and it had deformed, I'm so up for GT5 damage it looks amazing.

That was posted the other day. A private showing in Russia. I still hope that they change the way the hands move while shifting (or should I say anticipating the shift).

I'm not with your mind, that this looks so amazing, because the scratches are not at the place, where the car bumps into the wall, but the deforming looks well. Sorry for my english!
