to G.T ace and anyone else who is not confident with the appearance of the standard models, ive just downloaded the standard video, and the qaulity looks better now that its not being streamed, and you can clearly see that although the cars a a little less smooth as the premiums, they are hoewever still very photorealistic and take advantage to the GT5 lighting. Check out once you actually dl the video, it makes a difference

Who cares? They are still GT4 models and look like crap, but I'm not bothered as I'll never even think of driving them. :)

Yeah what he said.Though I was thinking of restarting GT4 til I get it maybe I shouldn't now...

HN7
No, HSV and LF-A were not confirmed. Kaz was asked if these car will be in the game and he said they are working on it.

But now the HSV is confirmed!! HSV= the sucessor of NSX. The NSX which is also my dream car. So right now NSX will be in GT5,but the HSV won't make it but I hope that PD gives us a download on the car...

Red Bull F1 car for sure

http://www.redbull.com/cs/Satellite...d-Bull-Racing-021242863182148?p=1242807156063

For months the F1 team has been working with Polyphony, the company behind the game after Red Bull was asked to become part of the latest chapter: GT5 – The Real Driving Simulator.

In this version, gamers will get the chance drive the Nordschleife, try out the Top Gear test track and unlock a special car which... well, let's just say Adrian Newey is involved as is Sebastian Vettel and they both met the game's designer Kazunori Yamauchi in Milton Keynes earlier this year. The Factory and the Red Bull-owned Hangar-7 restaurant in Salzburg have also been recreated and feature within the game.

Don't forget Ferrari.

I mean as in the F1 teams that are coming to GT. We've got two so far, one only wonders who else. Perhaps with just a sound tweak as well as a paint scheme tweak, a Toro Rosso could be there as well since essentially, its the same car as the Red Bull cars and both are built at Red Bull Technologies.

This gets even worse yet, if all 800 Standard Cars are from GT4, and given the number of premium models we've already seen, the likelihood that any of those that remain will be more Aussie cars in the game is slim.:( Failure upon failure.

Plus Toro Rosso use Ferrari engines...

I'll be suprised if there aren't more F1 teams eventually - Mercedes have the cover car so I'd say they'd likely be in too.

The GT games have a habit boosting car sales in the real word - I would think McLaren would want a bit of that action - I've tried the MP4-12C in NFS Shift and it goes like stink!

I think we could rule out a lot of the new F1 teams - I can't see us getting a full field of 24 cars - but the top 8 established teams - Ferrari, RBR, McLaren, Toro Rosso, Williams, Mercedes, Renault & Force India.

What make's me sad is that GT used to be about the normal cars, and almost all of the premium cars are some kind of super car!

And am i the only one that finds it strange to model a 69 camaro Z28 in premium. And then for another almost same 69 camaro use a updated GT4 model!

We have seen the interior model of the old fiat 500.And its les detailed.I think we will have that kinda view for all cars.

Yeah, it's not looking too good. But i'm sure they'll have some of your aussie cars turned american butchered crap like the GTO and G8.

But it wasn't in game, it was on a computer screen still being worked on so how can you say that?

Nope, I will not miss out on anything, as I've played a lot of GT4. And don't tell me the standard cars are not GT4 cars, because they are and I really think they look like it. :)

This link says otherwise. http://thegamershub.co.uk/2010/06/the-gears-of-gran-turismo-5/

But we've seen them and "every single graphical advantage of the PS3" obviously just means HD resolution and updated reflections. To me it's very clear that the poly count is the same, or very very close to GT4. Just the fact that seperations between doors, hood and other body parts as well as shadings are textured, tells pretty much about the low level of detail. :)

Have you played the game yet? :)

The R34 is premium, it was in GT5p. And by the looks of pictures i have seen of the R33 its a premium too.

For the list on pahe 126, the Tesla is premium.

I just don't get how the Countach is standard when it's a brand new car to GT . . .

I`m glad now that I know my favorite car from GT4 and GTPSP is confirmed for GT5, the 1969 corvette coupe. But if the standard cars won`t have interiors why not take the interior from the 69 convertible? The only difference between them is the storage room which the convertible top digests when it`s down. Of course I know the standard cars and no interior deal has not been completely confirmed yet, but still...

And one more thing...
They have carried over 800 cars from earlier Gran Turismos. Thats ~750 cars from GT4 and all\most cars from earlier games? Does anyone know how many different (unique) cars have been featured in earlier GTs? I thought almost all cars featured in earlier GTs were carried over to GT4.
