Nope, we've already seen a screen shot of some pages from the Apex book showing some of the car list with some Aston Martins clearly listed.

They're back in... they just have no new models in-game since splitting from Ford. Well, going by the Apex book anyways.

Anyone else nervous that we haven't seen an Aston Martin in any of the demos? I heard someone say that there was some contract that was restricting them from being in GT but I barely remember it.

That would be Porsche, not Aston Martin.

Microsoft did have a short exclusive with Aston Martin which effected GT PSP (no Aston) and would have effected GT5 had it released last year as we expected/hoped. That has lapsed now though.

The Porsche licence was never obtained but there was talk of losing the Aston licence due to an unintentional and seemingly unrelated contract signed by Aston and Microsoft in supplying software to the real cars a while ago.
That's now cleared up apparantly since Aston is featured in that Apex book.

TragicallyHip

He mentioned them being restricted from being in GT, (which was what Porsche has going on with EA) not about anything software related.

He was talking about Aston Martin not Porsche, you suggested he might mean Porsche ( everyone knows about the EA deal ) but he clearly meant Aston, who did sign a software deal with MS and which unintentionally lead to them being excluded from GT ( at least the PSP version ) due to that contract.

Thanks for trying to clear things up. I know about Porsche's restrictions from GT5, I was specifically referring to Aston Martin. Ya know, the one with the DB9 and such? :sly: Don't want you to think I got those mixed up.

I was under the impression he got Porsche's exclusive deal with EA mixed up with Aston Martin.

If I'm not mistaken your avatar says enough.;)

Easy mistake to make as the Aston licence trouble isn't that well known although it was quite a hot topic some time ago when the news or rumours arrived they might not be in GT5 as opposed to Porsche not being included which should indeed be common knowledge by now.:)

Not common knowledge to a noob like me. :guilty:

Yep, it couldn't of been Aston Martin because we saw a new screenshot of one earlier on.
Are you Famine?

I hope to see some cars that intrest me, like some historical cars or everyday cars. The fact that the supercars hog GT5's center is out of proportion.

Don't worry, you'll learn :) we've all been through it, either you'll learn on your own or have it forced upon you

Meh, I'm only here to find out news about what the game is going to be like. Come November 2nd, and I'm out of here! Although it's going to be interesting to see this place explode around the Nov. 2-5 mark.

I won't be surprised if you return after getting the game. :sly:

What are you talking about? There are more historical and everyday cars than you can shake a stick at. Just look at the 20 versions of Skylines, Miatas, Focus', and many others.

None of those are everyday cars....
Honda Accord?
Ford Mondeo?
Toyota Corolla?
Chevy Malibu?
