I drive one every day :).

A lot of Skylines are everyday cars, not every Skyline is a GT-R, the GT-R's are the performance variants and cost a lot. There's regular Skylines too that aren't so performance oriented and don't cost as much. And now the Skyline is a luxury/sport coupe, nothing out of the ordinary and the GT-R is a completely separate model line.

Since when is a Focus not an everyday car?

Ok, I was exagerating a bit, it's just then when I think of your everyday, run of the mill cars, ford focus' seem a bit better then that. Same reason I wouldn't call a 350z or a Camaro everyday cars, only not on that level.

You gotta be kidding! A Focus RS perhaps, but not a regular one, lol.

Oh and Camaro's... that depends on which generation you mean. Third and fourth gen Camaro's I'd say are everyday cars. Almost anyway.

Does anyone feel a bit anxious since we haven't seen a new model Aston yet? I mean like the DBS, Rapide, V12 Vantage, etc?

I would say a Focus is a very common car but the ST model is certainly not too common. Sure, you see them every so often but nowhere near as much as a standard 1.8, for example.

Plus, its performance is miles better than your average commuter car out there.

Don't hold your breath. The Apex book images we've seen show Aston's lineup in its entirety, and there's nothing newer than Prologue's DB9.

Just my two cents on the car list we have so far (premium cars)

We have some lovely cars, of course but I still can't help be a little disappointed in the premium car list. I just thought we would see more newer model cars like the new Astons, new RUFs, Koenigsegg and generally more in the way of exotics like Ferraris and Lambos.

There are still about 50 premium cars to be revealed so it's possible many will be there.......I really hope so.

I'm worried were not going to see those. I'll be a bit disappointed if I can't drive the One-77.

Wow, that is disappointing..... :grumpy:

I thought the list had a 2010 DB9 or is that exactly the same as the '06 model?

Any other cars that were in the Apex book?

I don't want to sound like a Forza 3 fanboy or anything (I have both consoles) but it just seems to me that at the moment Forza's car list with the DLC is far more interesting and exciting, even though it has half the number of cars that GT5 has. It has all the new Astons in the line-up, including the One-77.

For me, it was disappointing enough not to have Porsche. But now not to have any new Aston models? Just........wow, I really didn't expect this :(
No sign yet of any new RUFs, either.....

possibly made later on dlc it all depends if they can be bothered really. Veyron supersport for me (when it comes to gt:D) i'm loving the inclusion of lambo too

Be prepared for some harsh comments.

I sort of agree, but I do recognize it's all a matter of taste with the lineups in both games. FM3's variety happens to have a larger percentage of it's total that I'd be genuinely interested in driving, but GT arguably has more actual variety (though some of the cars are so unsporting that I imagine lots of people see them mostly as novelty or beginner-level stuff).

As with many things around here: diff'rent strokes.

I think you make a very fair point and actually, I'm very happy that GT have included the new Fiat 500 1.2 8v in the game, for example. It may be slow but I don't necessarily only want super-fast cars.

I realize some people prefer to have more unusual cars, like various tuning companies such as HPA, Amuse, Blitz as well as classic cars such as the XJ13 and Mark IV GT. Or simply just love Japanese cars in which case, GT would be a dream come true.

It's just that we've seen so many premium cars already from GT5P and quite a number seem to be clones (like the Nascar Impalas, etc) and there are only around 50 to be revealed.

Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that we have HPA, Amuse, Blitz etc because you don't tend to see them in any other racing games but somehow I thought we would see more new model Ferraris, Lambos, Astons and other European marques. However, I LOVE the fact that we have the new TTS Coupe :)

We don't know if that was the final version of the Apex book.

Man, I swear that GT fans are the most optimistic (not realistic) people on Earth.

Maybe it's an old build, maybe it's not the final version, maybe it is a fake...

Yea right. Maybe we just need to accept reality with certain thing and be content with that. I am upset that there will be no newer Astons, but oh well.

-> Seem's like The Papadakis S2000 drift car is finally confirmed (reppin' the S2K here):

^ Along with the ASL Gariya Super GT300 race car too! ;)

I think the Garaiya has been confirmed for a long time.
The s2k is a nice surprise. Makes you wonder what other tuner cars they have in store for us.

^ The S2K wasn't a surprise, it was a long-way waiting to be confirmed. That car won the GT SEMA award few years back. ;)

Actually, there were demos back from TGS 2009 as well as CES earlier this year that already confirmed it was in (along with the infamous issue of OPM that claimed Indycars were gonna be in the game).

To quote Sonic: "You're too slow!" :D

Nevermind, I found it. Interesting list. Looks old though. I mean, there was more than one Alfa Romeo in GT5P, right? Anyone else find it interesting that only the Brera is shown in the images?

Isn't that because there are more Alfa's on the previous page of the book?

Yes but it is strange considering PD has requested cars from Aston Martin since Prologue.

The cars are organized by drive train configuration so the FF and FR Alfas are on the previous page. (assuming this is an actual page from the book and not a mock up.)

I'll be a bit disappointed if I can't drive the One-77.

Prepare to be disappointed.

However, we (Venari and I) did present Kazunori with an exclusive One-77 buyers' pack from Aston Martin, so hopefully that'll pique his interest and, when the early-exclusivity-period Microsoft seem to have with new Astons expires, we get to see it as DLC.

The image of the apex book is not definitive, because between aston martin and audi should be the asl garaya and there isn't !!!!!!

I really hope in a few time the exclusive contracts of Aston and Porsche will be expired because a game like GT5 must have theese manufactures

Well we know GT5 has Aston Martin, just unlikely that there is any new models, however from what we know, Porsche is not included, which is a darn shame!
