So here is the Track list that I confirm 100% the presence over GT5:
(When counting the tracks count the other layouts and reverse layouts.)

<snip>

Dirt:
Chamonix
Grand Canyon
Ice Arena
Swiss Alps
Tahiti Maze
Trial Mountain Circuit
I have highlighted precisely why I am calling BS. Unless they are changing a track, that has been mostly unchanged through four iterations of the game, Trial Mountain is not a dirt track.

And if they did make my favorite original track dirt I would be a teeny tiny bit peeved.

or avert their eyes to GTP once in a while.
They do.

Thanks for that, copy&paste sometimes end moving stuff to the wrong place. But believe me those tracks will appear over GT5. I give my word.

Why are the nürburgring and le sarthe missing then? :nervous: im pretty sure they will make it in because A: Yamauchi LOVES the ring....
And B: Le mans circuit was in GT:HD as well, the promo with the audi R8, remember?

explain yourself mister! :)

Hey guys. I took down the names of all of the weather locations that pop up on the My Page screen and matched them to real life courses. (Not sure if this has yet been done, but this thread was referred to as an "already been posted!" topic.)

Suzuka - Suzuka Circuit (Japan)
Brands Hatch - Brands Hatch (England)
Spa - Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (France)
Motegi - Twin Ring Motegi (Japan)
Magny-Cours - Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours (France)
Silverstone - Silverstone Circuit (England)
Daytona Beach - Daytona Superspeedway / Daytona Road Course (Florida, USA)
Nürburg - Nürburgring Nordschleife / Nürburgring GP Circuit (Germany)
Tsukuba - Tsukuba Circuit (Japan)
Shanghai - Shanghai International Circuit (China)
Hockenheim - Hockenheimring (Germany)
Monte Carlo - Circuit de Monaco (Monaco)
Jerez - Circuito Permanente de Jerez (Spain)
Fuji - Fuji Speedway (Japan)
Estoril - Estoril Circuit (Portugal)
Monterey - Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca (California, USA)
Zolder - Zolder Circuit (Belgium)
Sonoma - Infineon Raceway (California, USA)
Le Mans - Circuit de la Sarthe / Bugatti Circuit (France)
Monza - Autodromo Nazionale Monza (Italy)
Imola - Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari (Italy)

Not saying for sure that all of these will be in GT5 full, but I don't put it past PD. As far as GP circuits go (which they mostly are), it's a random smattering, and mostly very interesting and technical -- look up some of these courses if you're not familiar.

Add these on to the typical Gran Turismo fictional courses and city courses and we're looking at a ton of tracks.

Hope they can fit all this on the disk itself. I would hate to have to install all this on the hard drive like prologue.

If Spa is in, Zolder will be in. Belgium is so small that it only takes PD to go from Spa to Zolder in 1 hour. :D These are the 2 most important tracks in Belgium.

and 6 months to model a track

dont get your hopes up

IMO all of these track will be in GT5, it's just they'll be avaliable over downloads as time progresses, unless PD have been working on this for longer than we think. I would like to see ALL previous tracks from Gran Turismo, including that little go-kart track in GT2 :) ...

What's got me all geared up is the changable weather, that will make the longer enduros more exiting :D

Agreed, dynamic weather should be nice... I really hope Polyphony nails the rain effect.

But regarding tracks, Mekanaizer's list appears to be mostly GT4/GT5P tracks...

I can tell you that there are tracks that were "scanned" and never appear over any GT game and the same with the cars. So to model a track takes less then 6 months. :D:tup: Unless they need to go local to "scan" the track for the first time.

I thought that weather changes and damage are going to be a part of the big fall update?

Spa - Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium)
Last time i checked Walloon was still a part of Belgium ;)
And i hope too that Zolder will be in. There are a lot of different international races every year.
(this weekend 2 people died on the circuit. A fast bike drove in the back of a slow bike)

No that update is schedueled to be only damage.
The weasther rumor has started because Kaz stumbled over a weather comment in an interview, paused, and then went on, but he did not say it would be the fall update.

Since then the weather and damage connection as worked itself into the rumors. Likely because he was discussing what he saw for the future. The way he said it though I am thinking weather will be in the full GT5.

When you are able to see the "Ending Movie" in gt5p watch the whole thing. At some point in the vid to left will be a bunch of track layouts just scrolling down like credits. Some of them you will recognize but there are some in there ive never seen. So i could just be wrong but were they trying to show us something?

Maybe, maybe not. I' m going to watch it if I can find this ending movie. You made me curious. Isn't it PD's policy not to reveal information too early?

I've only watched it once, but from what I saw it was mostly GT4 tracks. A lot of the GT4 tracks. Others could have been in there though. Sometimes it was just a portion of the track that was shown. I thought it was interesting that they'd show track layouts in the final credits to previous games. Maybe a sign of what's coming in GT5?

Mike

i would love to see all the modern and old F1 tracks (which is impossible to say the least)

I hope this topic wasn't forgotten! Where did you confirm Nordschleife? Anyway, here's an update:

World Circuits:
- Indianapolis Motor Speedway (Road Course) - confirmed in Holiday '07 issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine (US)
- Top Gear Test Track - confirmed by TG themselves

Original Courses:
- High Speed Ring - in Prologue Spec II

City Courses:
- Madrid - still on GTP home page

Brands Hatch, Spa,Brands Hatch, Spa,Brands Hatch, Spa,Brands Hatch, Spa

This isn't a wishlist. This is a discussion of circuits confirmed to be in the game. If you want to add tracks to the wishlist - and those two have long since been added - look for Jim Prower's GT5 Track Wishlist v3.1. That's the place you should be in.

Nordschleife confirmed (first time I've seen it in GT5, anyway)

Personally, I would like this list a little more detailed.

Fuji F
Fuji GT

Suzuka East

Daytona Speedway
Daytona Roadcourse

High Speed Ring
High Speed Ring Reverse

London Reverse

Eiger Reverse

And Circuit de la Sarthe needs to be on there as well. It's been seen in GT5P form for many months now
