Looking at that list of cars and tracks and features, this is easily worth $70 of entertainment. Sure it doesn't contain everything everyone wants under the sun, but it's still well worth it in my book.

If they're planning it, then bring on the DLC!

I can't stand all the moaning....get over it, and move on, these years have been tough enough and now we have a great moment as a community and again the freakin' moaning starts!

Posted this on Neogaf, and it´s a list of all the casualties:

-----------

People including myself waited until now to say something about the track list and the car list.

I won´t say much about the car list, it was pretty much expected. There´s variety, and DLC will fix some bugs (F50, EB110, Road Diablo).

But the track list is just... i really thought they would reuse the assets from previous versions like it was rumored countless times.

I didn´t wanted to say before, but i was afraid of El Capitan because: the shot with the enzo and in the california trailer, that rock formation could be from Eiger trail G, K or other, not El Capitan.

Really, we are missing:

Circuit Valencia (i mean, acquiring a license and not using it on a full game???)
Infineon Raceway (WTF adding Nascar and dropping this course???)
Motegi (Couldn´t you give the upscaled version from GT HD Classic?)
Spa (stickers, rumors from Jordan... it was 99.9% in...)
The other wheather tracks, we had some hope

Driving park (includes test course)
Complex String
El Capitan
Grindwald
Midfield
Red Rock Valley
Tahiti Road

Citta da Aria
Costa de Amalfi
George Paris
Hong Kong
New York
Opera Paris
Seattle
Seoul
SSR11

Cathedral Rocks
Green Forest
Grand Canyon
Ice Arena
Pikes Peak
Smokey Mountain
Swiss Alps
Tahiti Maze

That´s 28 tracks. I don´t think DLC will be able to cover all that.

It´s just unexplicable to have less than the portable version... I REALLY thought they would use the upsclaed assets from GT HD.

Still loving the game and the date, but i´m a bit shocked by this.

Well said I guess they spent alot of time on new tracks.

The only thing that gives me hope that this isn't the complete track list is that Piazza del Campo isn't listed anywhere.

Also, with exception of Tuscany, none of the course maker locations are listed either.

I don't remember in the past getting a complete track & car list before the game was released. I hope this is a incomplete list, it takes the fun out of surprises as you reach higher levels in the game. I guess only time will tell.

Yep, I set myself up for it, and I am a little disappointed.

Also, is it weird I'm still hoping there are more tracks?

I was avoiding setting myself up for disappointment. I was convinced that variation numbers we'd heard would include reverse, and that Spa wouldn't be in (let alone other weather locations). And yet it still managed to be worse than I'd feared - I didn't believe we'd lose so many of GT4's tracks, especially those that were new for GT4.

And yes, it's weird, but I'm doing it too :(

Monaco is in though, Uh is it?

Yes, its named Cote D'Azure.

I think the track list is generally strong, very excited about the inclusion of Time/Weather on the 'ring and De la Sarthe (Le Mans 24hr)

My only reservation is that Spa was widely rumored but doesnt appear on this list. Which is a slight dissapointment.

For you maybe-for me this is a great line up of tracks. Not many games can give you all this. I am sorry you feel so bad about it friend.

Sure, it's a pretty good line up but for a GT-game? Compare this list the tracks in GT4, and after 5-6 years waiting:nervous:

I'm shocked to be honest

If one or 2 tracks are missing from the list (kart track) or if one or two cars are off (no premium on Ferrari f50 even though it was in prologue) then the list is incomplete/incorrect...........

kaz said he wants to surprise us

there is NO WAY he would just tell us everything, might as well release info on all the prize cars too?...why not just ruin it all? he wont because he knows how long we've waited..........so those lists are incomplete

SO RELAX AND USE YOUR HEADSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!:dunce::dunce:

You know, the more I think about it, the more I'm certain some tracks are being withheld, and maybe not just for DLC. In GT4 we unlocked a good portion of the tracks by advancing through Simulation mode, and in GT3 we had to unlock different tracks to progress through Arcade mode. Every track shown on Youtube seems to have been available from the beginning. And as someone else mentioned, I don't remember ever having a complete track list published before release. There's definitely something fishy going on.

All of the tracks in GT5 are completely new and rebuilt. Unlike with GT4, where they could build on GT3's track count, they had to start from scratch with GT5's track count.

Hmm less than I expected but I'm not disappointed. Negatively suprised is the best way to put it. But where is the karting track? Did they remove it because of the flags? Also, I always thought Eiger would have a long variation with pavement. I have a weak hope that the list does not reveal everything but that is probably being too optimistic.

I'm still extremely happy that I can play the game in less than two weeks.

Here's to hoping that they simply didn't count the test track as a race track and that we still have somewhere to do top speed and 1/4 mile runs.

The longer you anticipate something, the less likely it will meet your expections. PD and Sony built up huge expectations among the GT community. And a situation like that has a great potential for disappointment. It goes without saying that not everyone's expectations could be met with the final game, but this track list is very, very hard to believe after all these years.

I'm hoping that we are only seeing a partial list. I'm going to miss Seattle and many more. I guess I'll just wait with bated breath for some great DLC.

Hopefully just a partial list, if not then it is a major blow to the GT fans who love most of the classic tracks. I am one of them. Track wise it looks to be a Big Dissapointment

So in the first page of this thread, El Capitan is supposed to be confirmed (as seen in GT5 Redbull Trailer), but how come it's not in the official track list?

Sorry if I'm repetitive, but don't you think there is something very strange? Top gear test track is an event of the game, how isn't it in the list?
