... Also, the tracks that we do have are the best of the best in the serires. Some may argue that their favourites have been left out but I see why these made the cut compared to the missing ones.

....

Best of the best? :dunce:

London?
High Speed Ring?
Tokyo R246?

really?

Except alot of these arent even quality tracks. Sure London/Madrid/Rome will be pretty but is that why we play racing games? I play racing games to relive racing on the greatest tracks in the world which I cant do in real life. City circuitsfor the most part make for the worse racing.

At this point I'd even take upscaled ones from GT4 if it meant having more variety. These tracks will get boring quickly.

Somehow I'm starting to think that these are the tracks available from day 1. Why would the first real GT game on PS3 offer less tracks than GT4 and GT PSP? They have had so much time.

Maybe it's more effort to render these tracks. Or maybe the inclusion of course maker has something to do with it. I also think the allure of $10-15 DLC didn't hurt either.💡

It looks like it's 70 including "weather variations" and "changing time variations", which is even more ridiculous than considering as such reverse ones.

Yeah why is a night ,day, rain considered different variations?only one Sonw track ,c'mon PD.

what the hell they do?!

I see what you mean but remember...

Incredible graphics.
Premium cars with huge detail level.
Standard cars with improved detail level.
Detailed tracks.
Weather system.
Damage.
Karting.
Online which is said to be big.
Improved physics.
Improved sound.
Projects with Red Bull, Citroen and Nissan etc.
GT PSP.

No way this can be the final and full track list.
No way!

Agreed, this track list looks more like punishment than anything else. It really just looks more like a slightly extended version of the practice mode list video that we all watched; something is fishy.

Where's Ice Arena in the final track list? It was shown in the very LATEST trailer (redbull\x1)...

Valencia? Which was in GTPSP. Which technically has a better track selection than its "successor big brother".

Something is wrong...

Well to be honest the worst GT points over the years have been fixed.Stunning sounds,16 cars on tracks(although Tekkens videos prove otherwise)and most importanly online. This is the track list there is nothing we can do ,we are all dissapointed but like a guy in another thread said I still play Prolouge(more than 2years)with only 5 tracks and still hadn't got bored so the full thing will definatley last 5 years easy.

Edit :embarrassed:h and damage too.

Ok I'll agree that London from Prologue is weak but I'd take Tokyo R246 over Hong Kong, Seattle, Seoul or New York. I'd also take High Speed Ring over Midfield Raceway, Apricot Hill or El Capitan.

Still I'm suprised that at least four of those are not listed.

I seem to remember something where Kaz or PD indicated that GT5 would be defined by Physics, sound and online play. In addition to the great graphics and new cars/tracks it would seem they put a lot of work into the 3 features mentioned. I can live with the tracks on the list but I still hope to get some of the missing GT4 tracks.

I think it's a hoax really. Why would they give the track list this early. Also there is no unconfirmed circuits that were meant to surprise us. Mark my words. On the 22nd we will get a full track list.

Don't they always reveal those list before a GT game launches? Le Mans was a suprise to everyone in GT4 so there may be other suprises in GT5.

Sorry guys just signed in.
This just a list of tracks you get when you first start? Right?
The rest will be unlocked later. Right.

There are a number of questions posed by this rather thin list. Let's examine them:

(a) The PD site is titled Track List. It does not say that this a complete list. Kaz could be playing tricks with the fans!:)
(b) The list only includes a few tracks not revealed in the leaked video: Nordschleife and Top Gear.
(c) IF the leaked video represents arcade tracks available at game opening, then is it likely that only two tracks would be opened by challenges?
(d) The number of snow/dirt tracks seems very weak.
(e) There is no mention of the cart track.
(f) Why mention Eiger short track if there is no long track?
(g) Why did Kaz affirm that the list would top 100 tracks? Even with variations, this list does not approach 100 venues.

On the other hand, there is the distinctly disappointing possibility that this is the final list. Why? Let's speculate:
(a) The HD tracks require so much disc space that there was no more room for additional tracks. (Remember the multi-disc set photo revealed last year?)
(b) The switch to 3D required even more disc space.
(c) DLC is planned either because of disc space issues or as a revenue generator.

Either way, we'll find out shortly!:scared:

On this note, has PD ever revealed all of the tracks before release? I don't think they have.

I hate to still hold out hope for more tracks, but I still kinda am.

All that means nothing if the track selection is poor, which in GT5's case, it is, unfortunately.

No Paris Track from GT4 ?? :guilty:

No Opera ?? That track is as good as the London Track !
I hope they did their job to update that track and include in GT5...

When Grindelwald?? That's an EPIC track not be be left out...

And the Fast El Capitan??!! where is it?

and what about Seattle??

Midfield and Apricot??

The GrandCanyon Rally??

And New York??

Hong Kong ??

Tahiti Maze?

Citta D'Aria??
Costa D'Amalfi??

and Pikes Peak?

There must be a continuation to this list ...

I think as usual the other tracks will be unlocked later.
If I remember we saw Midfield in one of the E3 videos and the Motegi Speedway was used in that original video '....something... to complete reality.' The pit shot with the 03 GT-R coming into the pits.

If no more tracks are revealed, then this better be the greatest course maker that the world has borne witness to, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed. I'd cross my toes too, but I'm afraid that I'd just become very cross. :)

Given how much Kaz banged on about not releasing it until it's ready and until it's perfect, this is pretty frustrating.

Ok, I just thought of the first evidence that this may not be the full list. I can't watch it now (work), but if you go look at the video that has the A-Spec events...

I swear there was a France/Paris championship. See if you can gather any info from that maybe. Now that could be only La Sarthe, but that wouldn't make any since to me.

There is still hope, lol.

10 real world tracks, 7 fake open tracks locations, 8 walled in fake and maybe real city locations, 3 fake dirt n show locations? Are you kidding? Man what’s with all the fake tracks? Are they expecting the Track Maker to be the “Killer App.” that makes the game epic? Thank god I got F1 2010 but it also looks like I’m going to have to buy NASCAR 11 and Dirt 3. I thought GT5 was going to be a real world Sim and I wouldn’t have to buy all these different games to try to get all the great tracks around the world. I just wish they didn’t waste so much time on so many cars and would have put more time in on the tracks.
