GT5 Master Track List (NOT a wishlist)

not ALL the tracks take 2 years to make. if they ALL did, then we'd have about 2 and a half tracks. only the city courses take 2 years to make 'cause there's a lot more detail to them since they've got a lot more buildings and things to model.

but my number is based on the average increase in the number of tracks between games. GT2 had more tracks than GT1, GT3 had more tracks than GT2, GT4 has more tracks than GT3 and GTPSP has more tracks than GT4. I would assume, based on this trend, that GT5 will have more tracks than GTPSP. Since, it would probably be safe to assume that all the tracks from GT4 will be in GT5. I think the "20" tracks thing was probably refering to 20 NEW tracks. or perhaps 20 permium tracks.

Here are videos of SSR5 and Clubman to compare side by side. Everyone should see that the intersection is labeled correctly after watching these videos closely. 👍

As far as the 20 locations thing...

I think most of us agree that the most likely scenario is that PD/Kaz is being vague. We will be more than satisfied with the number of tracks I bet. Plus Amar has been right about all of his winds and he said "8 dozen skypaths". ;)

8 dozen is 96, for those who struggle with math. :P that's plenty to start with and I'm sure, if there's DLC, we'll have 100 pretty fast...even faster if there's a track editor.

Thats a good point, I know the editor will probably be basic (I hope not too basic), but imagine having the community making tracks that we don't see that often in many games. The potential there could mean we could have an almost limitless amount of tracks..

Maybe that is what they mean by standard tracks?... who knows..

Almost 20 confirmed, and we still have two big shows to unveil more details on the game, my expectations are on 30+ tracks which is a fantastic number, and that's being conservative given that we might actually get to the 40+ figure.

And I still hope for the GT5P locations to be confirmed, since day&night is confirmed and the weather part was leaked by Yoshida.

That would make an incredible list of tracks already, since my 3 favourite tracks (Nordschleife, Spa & Nürburgring) would be in.

At this point after the 'Standard Cars' thing I can easily see PD going back and reusing the previous Tracks (Object files) of some of their Original tracks. The tracks that we have seen up to this point all appear to be new built from the ground up.

Tracks are made up heavily of textures applied to simple objects, such as Trees, Fencing, Sky Domes, Sky walls, Grass, Road Surfaces, etc.,. If you look some of the current tracks in prologue the catch fencing above the guardrails appears at first to be an object, but in reality is a texture that was artistically rendered to have light & dark sides. I don't think PD will directly import the files, since textures might not be compatible with the current shader & texture quality would be less than up GT5 standards. This is really a matter of reassigning new texture maps, diffuse, bump, spec, etc., at GT5 standard. The one area that PD might have to spend to modeling time is the pit area & main grandstands that usually require more polygons. reusing existing GT4 files would speed up the track building process considerably, but I think this would be aimed more at their fantasy tracks, since they would have all the leeway to do what they want to do. Real world tracks are a bit of a challenge, because of PD wanton for accuracy. Simply these won't be upscaled tracks, but tracks with completely new or higher quality textures.:)

is it possable that PD will make the game two dics. like have stuff on one disc like track editor and car custumization that can be saved from the the extra disc to the real disc. to get more stuff on to the game

this track might be neither R5 nor R11. It could be a completely new track, as a bonus or something like that. But if there is the "legendary" R11, then please from GT1. The GT3 has been made easier, while the course from GT1 has the difficult chicane courve.
^ I'm sorry but you are mistaken, I am 100% sure that this is the good 'ol SSR5. But the overall suroundings have been revamped to keep up with modern times. ;)

It probably is Clubman above it. Hard to tell but it looks like the road curves once it gets over the area where the road descends.
^ It is the Clubman Stage R5. ;)

-> And as is with real world cities across the globe, cities progress. As cities progress, the city grows. So that particular city needs to alieviate the tremendous growth (traffic jams), by making an overpass that goes above the race event that is going on:

-> If anyone recalls that slight dip after the right sweeper and before those tricky S-corners, on the 2nd longest straight on the whole track?

At first I thought that picture was of SSR5 to, but the dip occurs where the pit entrance and main straightaway cross over,
Clubman turns away before the dip. The new picture, the road above appears to continue on. From the other pictures it almost certain that SSR5 is returning.

But the last picture seems to be something new.:)

^Just does'nt seem to jive with the new pic

It's nothing new, i see no difference, except the quality. They can do anything with modifying SSR5's elevation points.

If you really think that that's a new track then... ...fine.

Taking a second look at this, the shot below may confirm more of it being SSR5, I think whats throwing me off with thie second shot below is the focal length is compressing the image,
so that you don't see the road above (clubman Stage) turning to the left.

^ I can speculate...in a way:

^ Sorry for the crappy rush job.

^ Either way it add to the excitement of the SSR5, a "blind-horizon" sort of thing. :sly:

Right, it seems as if SSR5 has turned into something from Midnight Club and looks more like it's from Tokyo and a bit more authentic with the tunnel. As I've mentioned before, it looks like you don't have to take the tunnel as there's a road next to it that doesn't dive into the tunnel.

i am just wondering, if there is day/night cyclus in gt5 on other tracks. could you play SSR5 in daylight 💡

ik like the thought about a combo SSR5+SSR11:sly:

I really hope they bring back Midfield, that track was a personal favourite of mine :D
^ Um, which one?

Mid-Field Raceway 'The 1st' [GT2/3 ver.]

Mid-Field Raceway 'The 2nd' [GT4 ver.]

^ Take note, The 1st was way more fun. While the The 2nd was way more technical. ;)

you'll have to explain the differences to me from the "1st" and "2nd" versions of the track
in fact their structure is different and since is a fast circuit in a fast car you will need more grip in the entrance of the curve to get it right,i got that experience from GT2 and GTPSP,with the Toyota GT1 the entrance speed is different.

You can actually see it on the maps too.
The first corner changed a lot for example, and that empty tribune there was sooo ugly in GT4. Although the big chicane was more like on the original Mid-Field, I liked the one from GT3 with the gravel more, the track was more "open", had a better flow.

Honestly, pretty much all of the GT3 versions are better than the GT4 ones IMO. Trial Mountain, Deep Forest, Grand Valley, and Midfield I liked much more in GT3. They don't flow quite as well in GT4.

Haha, it's been so long since i played GT2 and 3. I totally forgot about those versions of Midfield, but the one i was referring to was Midfield in GT4 :)

Speaking of the old Trial Mountain and other tracks, I hope they bring back the GT1 Arcade versions of TM and Grand Valley East that had the jumps. Those were pretty sweet. :)

^ The JDM version (I don't know about the Euro versions) didn't had those jumps FYI. Only the USDM version had a faster frame rate {feels like fast forward} (compared to Sim mode) and those crazy (ie. awesome) jumps.

The US and Euro versions also had slightly less gravity, since SONY didn't think us westerners would be satisfied with a fairly realistic racing experience. Boy, did they think wrong, as quite the net uproar happened when western gaming journalists found out.

well your a downer :(
Why is he being a downer? A Blu-ray can hold 50GB of content. Do you like shuffling discs for no good reason? Besides, if Polyphony made 60 or 75GB of content, you might be looking at six or seven years of development. I think it's about time that GT5 gets released, don't you? ;)
