I think the "Italian mountain road" scenery that we thought was the Stelvio Pass might be somewhere else in Switzerland. Thinking about it, there already are some PD-modeled tracks with a swiss scenery, plus some others that we supposedly haven't seen yet.

What's the difference anyway, they're all in the same area pretty much, that mountain range etc :)

The last news confirms that there will be 100 tracks!
You mean the 40 tracks/100 variations comment somewhere? Only mentioned once, coïncidentally exactly the same numbers and wording iRacing provided at that time of their tracks and far from new actually. The number is not confirmed. 20+ locations/70+ variations and a non fixed number of tracks as of a month or so ago are confirmed by many and credible sources.

Famine holds the truth, from the big man directly:

after 8:40 I hear:

Kazenori's answer was: if you counted the courses themselves there were more then 70.

ehm we can add variations on top of that ...

What do you guys make of the 100 circuits mentioned in the French flier?

It's still not clear if they mean 100 different circuits, 100 total different unique variations or 100 total layouts including reverse versions of original tracks :indiff:

However, if it's 100 unique variations (excluding reverses), then we might expect around 65-70 unique tracks/venues.

I would think with these high number of tracks, the quality starts to suffer. At the level of detail & time that PD puts into each track, it's a bit hard to imagine them getting close to these numbers. Though I would be ecstatic if this materializes.

I doubt that. And they still found some time to model half of Switzerland and Italy for the photo mode.

Well, no way the could be left out in my opinion.
The most legendary original track and the first real circuit appearing in GT series.

Not really surprised, they would be fools to leave out those two tracks.

Did anybody notice that now we have exactly 20 confirmed unique circuits?

But it's only 20 locations. 70 tracks I think are including variations. The number of tracks is somewhere in between

I think though the few tracks in GT5 are going to be okay with user created tracks. It is going to end up giving us a lot more courses to race on than you could imagine

Also don't forget what Kaz said in the interview by GT Planet. Something about a new fictional track which in his opinion may surpass Deep Forest. I'm sure there'll be more unique tracks in GT5.

I hope thats not it. For 6 years thats rubbish.

Those tracks will get boring after a week! We have already driven on most of them. And theres so many missing from GT4.

It was always my experience in previous GT games that the tracks got more entertaining the more I drove and learned to master them. I still have so much fun from my time trials in GT5P but maybe that's just me.

Grand Valley Speedway will surely return, it's practically the staple track for GT, and the Grand Valley 300km has, to my knowledge been in every GT so far, it's practically an event with heritage now.
